There were creases coming from nowhere, this video was impossible to follow, even when I set it at half speed. This video would randomly cut to another scene where there were new creases, and even when I tried to just eyeball the creases and continue, it didn't work. Don't even bother trying.
Counteracting point: I am an experienced origami hobbyist and I found this relatively easy. It just looks hard b/c he does some of the basic folds in a complicated looking way. So I get why it might be hard to follow.
Honestly, this was a very hard tutorial to follow, especially for beginners. I've been doing origami since I was a child, but this was made harder than it looks. If anyone has reached around 5:54 , what he does is push out the tips of the top fold, and does what they call a "rabbit's ear" I believe. Just push against the tip in the opposite direction, and let the outer flaps overlap with each other and then press down on them. I hope this helped, if even a little.
Rabbit ear folds are quite easy. I've been doing origami for about a year; I do some every day though so i guess it's just gotten easier? I'm nearly 13 but the video is too fast, i put playback speed on 0.5 and terribly confusing

You know, there's a reason why this one video has so many views compared to all of your other videos.... it's so confusing everyone keeps re-watching to try and figure out where all these creases came from! It would be SUPER HELPFUL if you remade this tutorial and actually went step by step, because clearly this one is missing a few steps.

Not only are you going too fast, your movements are not very precise so it is very hard to follow along, you seem like you are going to fold the paper one way, and then you flip the paper over very suddenly and fold it another way. I can understand why you may not want to use words, so that people from different language backgrounds can all follow. Since you are not using words you need to make your movements clear and precise, and easy to see. I have watched a re-watched parts of this video trying to figure it out, but it is impossible to follow what you are doing!

I'm on pc, so I don't have a slow mode option, and It's going so fast I can't even follow it. Is the elephant at the end cool? yes. Did I finish this piece of origami? no. Would I recommend this video to an expert? absolutely. Would I send it to a friend? Absolutely not.
I'm glad I'm not the only person having issues following this and getting confused about creases and stuff. All the flipping didn't help either trying to follow and I couldn't. Just when I thought I had it right there was a crease somewhere that I didn't have. Or mine didn't look the same as the tutorial. I was excited to. To learn something other than the crane.
I've learned so many things on TH-cam - from math to cooking and so much more. Out of the hundreds, or possibly thousands of instructional videos I've seen, this is by far the worst.
It went very well for me, the creation turned out really well. The first time It was pretty bad, but the second time the folds began to make a lot of sense. When you're first doing it you're learning the folds. When you're doing it a second time, you're paying attention to the most tiny detail. The creases were hard to follow but after about 30 minuets the patients paid off and I know how to do it very well.
I managed to make the elephant, but that doesn’t excuse the poor quality of this video. I had to put it at 0.25x speed and had guess on some of the folds. Since I do a lot of origami, I could afford to guess on some folds, but in the end the elephant didn’t even look like the one in the thumbnail-it’s still cute though but just not the same. It would’ve been better to explain what you were doing, clearly show the creases you folded, slowed down the video, didn’t cut the video so much, and stop moving the paper around. If all these things would’ve been included, it would’ve been a good tutorial.
I almost gave up but it turned out no bad actually!! Sometimes it gets confusing as some folds for the next step are already there, and I could not really figure out the final fold for the head at first and that's when it was the most frustrating. My elephant turned out great but I would not do this one again

Thanks for taking the time and effort to make this video. The tutorial wasn’t the easiest thing to follow but it was doable. My only real criticism is that the final product from what is shown in the video is different than that which is in the thumbnail, which is clearly misleading. I was expecting a different finished elephant and would’ve appreciated a more accurate picture in the thumbnail so I would’ve know exactly what my time and energy was going to result in. Just some constructive criticism, but again thank you for what you’ve done here; it’s very much appreciated.

I was able to figure it out after pausing and replaying but mine still needs a lot of work! Mine's head is too narrow and the video goes a bit fast but the tutorial was overall okay.

I am pretty good at origami. Ive been sitting in iso for 2 weeks, and seen a number of tutorials. This one... too much movement in the paper. Pause mate. Give us time to look at the new crease and if it lines up with what we have. Don’t move the paper around too much. You flipped and flipped and flipped the paper over and over again, and I lost track as to what side I was one. Unfortunately this was a dud for me, and this elephant never made it to the field.

ok this was so hard to follow that i'm not gonna continue
i got to 3:21 and there is clearly a crease there two shaped ^ but on mine theres only 1 ^ on there and i made sure to follow every step and pretty sure i didnt miss a step idk how he go that crease and afterwards honestly i'm pretty sure i followed but i just don't have the creases that he has idk how. pretty sure the tutorial could've been done better.
Where do some of the creases come from? Plus your going too fast. I paused the video about 100 times. I still ended up finishing it but not a recommend video!
