Don't know why but my elephant ended up with his hind legs a bit longer than the front ones. Had to shorter them a bit by folding them inside and not it looks just fine.
Wow such clear instructions, got a wee bit frustrated but that was to be expected 😂 my elephant came out better than I thought, thank you so much for making this I had fun!
This is a fantastic teaching video! Many people can fold origami, but I found too many videos where they didn't explain or show what they do. Your instructions are so clear and everything is visible. Thank you very much, keep up the good work!
Tip: try to do a easy oragmi like make a a hart not cutting it to make a hart no.A origami hart bc you brain will process more and more and you can do more oragmi or make a oragmi crane.
I messed up several times, and my proportions were off by a little bit sometimes, but I stuck through it, and in the end i made a beautiful tiny elephant, so to anyone doing this right now and worrying about how yours doesn't look like hers, don't worry, just keep going, it'll work out. Don't take it too seriously, remember to have fun! :)
I keep coming back to this video. The elephant is beautiful and your instructions are perfect. In other videos I struggle with easier designs, but your explanations make everything so clear. Thanks so much!
Out of all the origami elephants I've found, this one is by far the cutest. I've never done origami before, but my elephant turned out perfect. Can't believe I did it, hehe! Thank you :D
@@evachallender8110 Hahaha my condolences, yeah in that case this one probably isn't for you. I found it much easier than a lot of origami videos but that doesn't have to be the case for everyone!
Thank you for being so clear and precise! I watch a lot of origami videos, and so many people just go "now we fold this edge!" without pointing out things like how it lines up to other folds. It was reassuring to know I was doing it right, I didn't even want to rage quit once :D
Leyla, I appreciate your origami tutorials so much! I only started doing origami a little over 2 weeks ago. Usually when I start a new hobby, I get so frustrated that I want to give up early on, but I've kept with it, and your instruction is phenomenal. You make even the more complicated designs achievable because of the way you explain everything so clearly. This elephant was the hardest design I've attempted so far; it was difficult, but I completed it, and I'm so proud! Thank you so much!
This was very helpful! I challenged myself to make an origami elephant for a class project demonstration, and this was great. It is great for beginners!
Love this elephant. I make them from 12" x 12" paper in all patterns and colours. They are beautiful. Thank you Leyla for your patience in your tutorials. I am your pupil for as long as you can teach and I can fold.
ok so yesterday I`ve done my first paper crane and I`m a beginner at origami, and today i decided that THIS may be easy to do next (because it was looking really simple)...ok and my piece of paper was a lil smaller and in adition I`ve chosen thik asf paper...I thought I was gonna die doin this...AND U KNOW WHAT I`VE DONE IT even though all of the above
As someone who has never really done any origami aside from paper boats and planes 6 years ago this was very easy to follow! Of course doing mine on printer paper cut into a square in the middle of the night results in a pretty sloppy elephant... Thank you very much for the tutorial though! :) I'll have to keep practicing~
Although this is obviously quite a difficult piece, the instructions are crystal clear thank you! Been making origami for presents and hit the frustration of not being able to understand what the person demonstrating is actually doing twice so far.
By far one of my top favorite animal models! I nearly tore it hugging it with joy after managing to fold it! It is a bit tricky around the ears, it needs more loose paper there so that the ear looks more natural and less stressed. I will most likely fold a whole herd of these wonderful elephants! ^____^b Thank you for yet another fabulous tutorial!
Leyla, muchas gracias por las instrucciones en español, por los pasos lentos y los tips de lineas guías. Si no fuera por las lineas guías no hubiera hecho un elefantito lindo de flores. I had lots of fun 🌸
Got me some bigger paper!!! Now I have cute origami elephants all over my desk too!!! explaining using mountains and valleys helps a lot as well. Thank you for the brilliant tutorial! 🙏❤️🌟
Gran artista y artesana, muchas felicidades :)...
This is the best origami tutorial I have ever watched. You explain things very clearly and visually, and your voice is such a treat! Thank you for your great tutorial.
Hago origami desde hace mucho tiempo y ésta se ha convertido en mi figura favorita. A pesar de que es un poco compleja, con las explicaciones no hay donde perderse. Me encanta. Gracias por el tutorial
Very complex and difficult, ESPECIALLY since I've been doing origami with post-it notes, but it turns out sooo cute... mine isn't entirely perfect, but it's even cuter because of how tiny it is! Thanks for the tutorial! ♡ Your voice is super soothing to listen to.
Lol, I remember trying to make the smallest crane possible. I got down to a 1 cm piece of paper. I wonder if I could do the same with this... unlikely. My hands are much bigger now!
Wow just what I was looking for. She didn’t have her hands in the way and really showed me where to fold. It turned out great! Thank you ms soothing voice
Much better than most of the rest of the *ahem* quote-unquote “tutorials” on TH-cam. Not quite what I’d call a perfect walkthrough, but far better than most of the trash I’ve been subjected to. I actually basically finished this one unlike the other ones that went straight to the elephant graveyard
This is such a cute elephant! I had to make 10 to make sure that I could remember the folds. Then my son decided to use them to stack on top of one another. IT worked! He took a while but they do stack. Thank You so much for posting this. Debbie
i feel like i got progressively more angry throughout this which is fine and dandy usually but i was making this to relax while doing a college application so now i'm just mad and stressed i finished it though and my boyfriend likes it a bunch so that's pretty nice
This tutorial was incredible. I saw the length of the vid and thought "24mins!? Why!? This is going to be so harrddd" but the way you walked us through it was perfect. Everytime u made a mirror fold u flipped the model and never rotated it to a strange angle. You also used and incredible amount of reference lines. I never thought I could fold a paper elephant. By my second attempt I was using 3" paper and making little bitty ones! Thank you!
thank you!! it's so easy when you explain it- you are giving just the right directions! (hard to fish out in other origami videos around here) now I'm only going to be looking into your videos to complete the little zoo I've planned for my little angel's nursery... SOOOOO THANKFUL!
Best origami tutorial in the world!!!! Every step was shown in such amazing detail and made so clearly, i didn't mess up even once! My Elephant turned out so beautiful!!!! Thank you Leyla!!!!!!

This video was great. I made my first origami a couple days ago and though I had some minor mistakes that were resolved by pausing the vdeo, the video was so easy to follow I didn't even have the sound on and it still turned out. It is so adorable.
Thank you so much for teaching me how to do this. You make it so much easier for me to be able to do origami. You are so much better than all of the other origami youtubers.(In my opinion.)
did not know it was possible to feel so stressed while listening to the world's most soothing voice.

Did anyone else feel insanely relaxed listening to her speak?
Do you love her little stick? Cause I do! Lol :D

Certainly unintentional ASMR with that beautiful voice/accent and the crinkling og the paper.
