    Quick mention about the Zowie FK series. As a fingertip gripper with 20cm long and 10cm wide hands, I tried both the FK2 and FK1, and much preferred the FK2 for my grip style. The larger profile of the FK1 is quite a hindrance, even in my larger hands. So the size guide is definitely just that - preferences will vary outside its bounds. Great video btw - helped greatly with informing my choice!

    Wish you would include the sensor names in the list like you used to.

    • @RocketJumpNinja
      @RocketJumpNinja  7 ปีที่แล้ว +72

      Trying something new... I still listed most of them vocally, but mouse enthusiasts will usually know what sensor is in what, so I'd rather list the performance for people who don't research it. Example ... Flick G1 has a 3310 but the implementation isn't great, so it doesn't get the "Very Good" tag like the other 3310s.
      I should list what I base those ratings on somewhere... for now, "Very Good" means pretty much flawless, just has an issue with the tilt-slam test. "Excellent" means no issues in my testing.

  • @dudinacas
    @dudinacas 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Still got all the Zowie mice in the top 5? IMO there's too many flaws with them that BenQ haven't fixed yet, the only reason they're still good are the shapes.

    • @dudinacas
      @dudinacas 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Anders Gamez Flaws still aren't a good thing.

    • @lorenzomariani7386
      @lorenzomariani7386 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      They still have an amazing shape despite their shortcomings, but I think they are top mice only if we're strictly talking about FPS, which is what the video is addressing, because their problems don't really impact their performance there; but in a chart about top all around gaming mice they'd fall way way lower.

    • @pelataan69
      @pelataan69 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      3310 has problems if u tilt ur mouse by accident when turning around on fps games and plastic feels super weird
      my ec2-a feels like it has some oil top of plastic but i never eat anything oily next to my pc and swiches are quite bad

    • @lorenzomariani7386
      @lorenzomariani7386 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Aaponton that oily look is called "shine" and it's what happens with ABS plastic when it is exposed for a long time to the acids of human skin. Depending on the quality of the ABS and the strength of one's acids it can happen sooner or later, lightly or heavily, but in the end it always does that.
      Unfortunately the only mouse I know of that does not use ABS is the Ducky Secret which is made of PBT plastic: the process of developing shine takes way way longer with PBT compared to ABS, the latter takes a few months while the former takes several years.
      Another solution is rubber coating but that's even worse than ABS when it starts to break down. Had a really bad experience trying to remove a rubber coating breaking down from something way bigger than a mouse and now I try to avoid it whenever I can.

    zy wtf man u wrote excellent on the g303s sensor but not the deathadders one although u liked it more wtf

    • @RocketJumpNinja
      @RocketJumpNinja  7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Chroma sensor can be made to spin out using the tilt-slam test. Elite sensor can't. G303 can't either.
      And I thought I preferred the Chroma sensor ages ago, but I've since learned that it may not even be the sensor but the mouse feet or something. Because I can't say either way, it gets no extra points for that.

    • @TasimanaOG

      Oh man I agree so much with you. I have the Sensei for Office purpose and the shape / button placement are sensational.
      The Firmware / Laser sensor it what makes it dull for competitive FPS gaming.
      Put in there a 3360 sensor, it would be damn good.

      i have the g203, which looks to be the same as the 102 for the european market. paid 30 bucks, i can't feel any difference in terms of sensor to the 3366 in my g303, buttons are all great, and the shape is that of the gpro. recommended!!

    I own BenQ Zowie ZA12, EC2A, FK2, Zowie EC2evo, Logitech G303, G502, G403, SS Rival and Razer Deathadder. I am currently maining the Logitech G303 for FPS /Moba and Zowie FK2 for FPS. I am in love with my FK2 and find it amazing, though the G303 is also amazing because of the switches and I aim just as well with it. I am still yet to open my G403 out of the box haha. Zy is definitely correct about mice you choose being a personal preference. Zy your reviews and knowledge helped me drop mice that didn't suit me, so thanks heaps for all the effort you put into your channel reviewing tech. Love your videos, keep up the fantastic work! I would love to see you review 1440p vs 1080p for gaming. I am looking at grabbing BenQ Zowie XL2540 to test out the 240hz panel or BenQ Zowie XL2735 to see Dyac. I find it interesting that you game on a 1440p with FPS games, I use the Zowie BenQ XL2430 and really want to make the jump to 27 with 1440p, scared I won't like it or lose too much FPS while playing games.

      Marauder Shields Don't be. This is purely his own opinion. Just like how he find Castor uncomfortable, I find it difficult to get a proper grip on the G403 wired. All that matters at the end of the day is having a mice that's comfortable in your hand with acceptable performance that can bring out your full potential.

      That's right, opinions :) If the grooves in the side don't bother you, the castor is clearly a great choice.

    I have watched your last Top Gaming Mice video over and over again, and I just realized I was waiting for this video without knowing it. Thank you!
    Although, I wish you would list the approx. price (just lets us get a ballpark estimate so we can exclude mice grossly out of budget). I wouldn't have recommended this if you made top 5 videos or something (not that I am complaining, I love this format!).
    I'm shopping for a mouse right now, something cheap, and more suited for daily usage (comfort and extra buttons for macros take highest priority). Any recommendations off the bat? My hand size is 9.5x19 cm and I have a palm/claw hybrid grip. The only other premium mouse I have used extensively is the venerable MX518, so I don't have much experience with grips. But just visually, the Castor looks most comfortable.

    Great job! Purchaced mine about 2 hours ago! And i couldn't buy anything else but the no1, since it looked cool with obviously good quality, and your usefull infos made me realize that it would feel just great in my hands! My palm is just over 0,5cm longer than yours but almost 1,5cm wider. So the basic thing you didn't like (wide grip) suits me just fine! And i will be using it primarily for mmo. Cheers and keep up the good work!

Please let Logitech know I wish they can ypdate the G900 and G602 with 2 ways to connect, Bluetooth(low performance mode) and USB receiver(high performance mode) so I can use it without sacrifice the USB port on the laptop when I just use it for non gaming works and it will be more future proof since most laptop will move toward the USB C port only like the new MacBook Pro

    Hey zy this is concerning about your video about the sensors rattle issue for the g303, I ordered it a few day ago from Mwave, as I still haven't received it I was wondering if the mice would still have any sensors rattle issues. Thanks, BTW nice video!

    Here's the real MVP. All the other tech reviewers are fucking shit at mice. Because most of the time they are shit at video games and use a high sens so they don't know shit about sensors.

      Yeah, I guess he's used to lifting his mouse and being at a low dpi. Personally I always have high dpi and never lift the mouse. For precision I use the sniper button. It's a good mouse in my opinion but I guess everyone has their preferences.

    I know this is a long shot, but it would be nice if you could take some time out of your day to help me decide what mouse might suit me the best.
    Measurements:
    Height: 10 cm
    Length: 19/18 cm
    Some Info On me:
    I use palm grip, but switch to claw when gitter clicking. I mostly play CS:GO, using 800dpi with 1.6 in game sense (fairly high for cs) I have a Steel Series Rival 300 right now, but I'm looking into trying other mice. I have watched quiet a few more of your videos and it seems that the Logitech G403 wired might be a good fir for me.
    If you could spare some time to answer my time that would be great!

    I have rival 300 and don't like it, too heavy click is way to hard to the point it's inflamed my forearm, the back left sticks out too far. It's also too heavy.
    mx500-518 has been the best, near perfect fit, maybe it could be a touch higher and the thumb groove a bit forward, i have to move back hand back 1-2cm for it to fit perfectly in.
    hand length 18.8 from the first crease
    width 9.8
    claw grip
    Which mouse should i try next, i play overwatch, soldier and tracer mainly.
    I missed out on the g400. Why do logitech keep removing them when they are so highly rated on review sites.

    Here is my dilemma: Mionix Avior 7000, or Logitech G403 Wired.
    I'm aiming for ergonomy and also versatility when it comes to gaming casually. I love the idea of a thumb rest and I guess am one of those full-palm grip people. The dilemma here is which can last 5+ years without having the scroll or the left/right key stop working. I'm basically not in the habit of over consuming electronics and rather aim for long lasting choices.
