  • In-depth discussion about laning into a bad match up when you get counter picked. This style works best when you have an offlaner who can farm stacks and you are someone who can do multi-stacks. We will cover alternate styles in the future.

    I know you're not an offlane player so maybe it's just a bit out of your wheelhouse, but I would be really interested in a video on cutting the wave (how to do it effectively but also kind of going more in-depth into maybe good times and bad times to do it). I'm not the best player but my understanding is that this is one of those matchups where that would maybe be a good idea for Tide, but he never does that. Is there a reason for that?

    Wow, what an amazing video! I usually accept the L in bad lanes and leave my core by himself, trying to create pressure in other lanes to force rotations from the enemy team. This stack strategy is very good and I would try it next time i find myself behind

    Fantastic replay analysis as always Zach. I agree with your point that itemizing for movement speed as a 4 should be considered when lane equilibrium is your #1 priority. I find myself rushing boots a lot on a hero like shaman especially when the enemy core is a slark,Ursa, Mk etc

    Hey good videos, try to make guide how to lane as carry, since nowadays in pub especially in SEA pub pos 5 often to leave the lane early (avrg below min 5) and literally let carry 1v2 lane. i experience this mostly in every match at bracket divine 2 and below and it seem impossible to win the lane when pos 5 literally walking to other lane without put some ward,block the camp

      Yeah right this people will also blame the carry if they die. There are some times that supports don't know how to trade hp even they are full hp they will sit on your back and they will get double kill and u will die first

    • @mechanicalhelios8321
      @mechanicalhelios8321 ปีที่แล้ว

      From my xp in SEA, the supports don’t value the offlane cores at all and if it’s a bad lane matchup they literally have zero clue on how to recover/stabilize it, honestly really fcking annoying to play with SEA supports

    • @teh_oais6437
      @teh_oais6437 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@seaadventurer9292 its typical in most game where pos 5 left the carry 1v2 lane (which is confirm losing lane) and expect carry to fat by the min 15 and convincing whole team to blame carry because not join war at min 20

    • @teh_oais6437
      @teh_oais6437 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mechanicalhelios8321 not just only if bad lane matchup, in my experience they will leave the lane early if they feel boring in the lane since the lane just trade last hit. The thing is this support cant even do basic task to harass, pulling, put ward, block camp. It happened mostly when support leave the lane at lvl 3-4 just to wasting time walking or feeding other lane

    Love the humility and pointing out your own mistakes. There's a million micro decisions and actions in each game and we can't nail them all, so I appreciate your approach to pointing out the things you're seeing yourself in hindsight.

    As a pos 5, I usually still block the dire side pull camp because i can just grab a creep from the camps that are next to the gate. It's way too hard to block those camps for a pos 4.

    As someone who‘s relatively new to the game and exclusively plays supports, how do I recognize a good stack clearer in my team? Aoe spells?

    • @drear5
      @drear5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Typically speaking, its cheap AOE spells and some sort of sustainability. A few different examples are tide (anchor smash + kraken shell), bristleback (bristleback + quill spray), medusa (split shot + mana shield), timbersaw (spells + reactive armor). Later on into the game like 20-25 minutes your carries can clear camps once they have their farming item (and hopefully some sustain).

      Most cores will be able to clear stacks at some point, but it can be really dependent on build. Like you said some form of aoe is important for clearing them earlier e.g. Tide here (anchor smash is also damage reduction which makes it even better) or a pos 1/2 with battlefury or mjolnir. Life steal and attack speed can also be enablers e.g legion or someone with mask of madness. Ranged heroes can usually clear stacks by just kitting though it can be slow.
      That said even if your cores aren't particularly good stack clearers, stacking and then killing the stack with a core + 1 is still worth it.
      You can play around with different heros in an empty lobby to get a feel for timings with different heroes and items. There's always stuff that surprises you though like the techies in the video 😂

      @@drear5 good points, in addition to that, lifesteal (via item or via native skill) will help a lot on farming stacks and with vanguard being so on meta for offlaners right now, they can farm stacks easily. Another hero that can be added to the list above mentioned by our friend is Axe, which is a king on farming early stacks due to its passive.

      Lots of good answers here that pretty much cover everything! A lot of this stuff you pick up over time, so I recommend just asking your team at the start of the game if their heroes can handle stacks!
      One extra detail, magic spells that do AOE can typically clear Easy/Medium/Hard camps, but Ancient camps have much higher magic resistance. You typically need more physical AOE for Ancient stacks. Not always true, but it's a good general rule.

    Had a frustrating game earlier where I was stacking a bunch of camps for our sven but he just wasn't taking them - jungle was entirely stagnant as he farmed the same bot lane forever. I guess if that happens I should ignore stacking or take them myself?

    Relatively speaking, if you want to rotate to do other objectives like runes or ganks, which lane state is better?
    A shoved out lane into the enemy tower or a shoved out lane into your defensive tower?
    They seem to have pros and cons each since the enemy is more likely to dive with their creeps during the latter, and ganks from the gate or from the sides are more likely during the former.

    • @ZQuixotix
      @ZQuixotix  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would say defensive state is typically much better to leave. You are more likely to be able to help them with a TP back
