I feel the need to say that when I said that “Casita supports her more than most of the people in her family do.” I sounded like I meant it, but it was a joke. Like I said, most of the Madrigals are super caring and sweet. They were calling her over and over after she climbed up to grab the candle because they didn’t want her to get hurt. They no longer cared about the candle (maybe Abuela still did, but that’s not the point). Her parents, Camilo and Isabela literally sprinted after her to try and get to her before she fell or got crushed. The writers say Camilo and Isa were going for the candle, but there’s no way they weren’t going for her too. Camilo kept worriedly glancing over at her, I refuse to believe it was solely for the candle. In my opinion, the writers are wrong, thank you😌
Fun fact: yellow butterflies are one of the main symbols used by Gabriel García Márquez (Colombia’s Nobel in Literature) in his novels. We even have a house-museum dedicated to him and it’s filled with that iconography. Also, he was the pioneer and main figure of Magical Realism, the literary genre which inspires the movie :) This family actually has a few similarities to the Buendía family in 100 Years of Solitude
True. What I really wonder was why they went to Bruno in the first place? Did they ask how long the fish would live or the future of their hair? Like what prompted them to ask for a vision when they knew it would most likely not be that good😂
