- We've finally had the chance to drive the all-new Ford Everest. It was only a very, very brief drive off-road at Ford's proving ground in Australia, but we thought we'd run through all the new details on Everest since our last video and also recap what the drive was like.

Im ordering the sport in the next couple of weeks subject to test drive , if the reviews are anything to go by I won't be disappointed , love the channel Paul and I can't wait till you you get your hands on one for us to see .

Very keen to see your review once you get your hands on one. I'm thinking the Sport or Platinum with the tow pack. The Platinum can option offroad tyres and a metal bash plate as a no-cost option. That is an excellent feature with the trailer length dictating the blind spot monitoring... what about the automatic trailer light check. Finally, I can check the trailer properly single-handed! Lastly, those prices, I'm presuming they were plus on-road? Oh, a comparison with the incoming Nissan Pathfinder please :)
I was wondering if there is any extra legroom compared to the ranger in the second row, if so how much? Also, are you able to order a 5 seat configuration, rather than a 7 seat version on the higher models? Cheers.
I ordered the Sport. Placed my initial holding deposit in Jan, confirmed last week. Set for production in September with delivery in early Nov!!
Ford is changing the game. Lifting the bar on 4x4 vehicles to where it should have been years ago. Hopefully Toyota sees it and brings the Hilux to this level in technology, engine size, and looks.

Ordered a Trend back in May here in New Zealand. Was told September/October. Latest update is be prepared to wait til November so I’m not disappointed. No extra cost for colours. $75k driveaway, incl NZ’s ridiculous diesel car tax. Ambiente not available in New Zealand.
Keen for a review on the interior spaciousness - the existing everest feels small in the middle row for me (I’m 5’11).

Great Review Paul, we`ve ordered the Platinum Everest and delivery is around March/April 2023, we`ve optioned ours out with a ARB bullbar and much more as we prepare to go around OZ, Tassie etc , can`t wait ,we`ve researched the competition and this is the best, it will win many awards in our opinion.
How long ago did you order? I also ordered a platinum back on the 1st June, haven’t yet received confirmation about delivery date. Just curious!
Paul, what is build quality like? I have had the Everest on my SHORT list to buy for our last two 4wd's, but build quality reviews (from owners) have knocked the Everest out each time for us. Would love to consider one again for our next 4wd. Cheers, Don (Dons Shed and Xplor Overland)

Great video Paul. I ordered a Trend with touring pack in meteor grey this week. $72.9k drive away and will arrive end of September. Mine will be the bi turbo which I’m fine with. Pretty happy with delivery time too 👍
72k? What do you get with the touring pack? Priced mine at 67.5k online with tow pack.
Great review. Could have mentioned the weight of the Everest when talking about the load capacity though. I suspect it is much heavier than the out going model. I ordered a black platinum for $87k in May and was told delivery in Feb.

Great content i like it, But I am very confused between Top Sep 2.0L Trend 4x4 vs 3.0L Sport 4x4 Vs Top Spec Platinum there is only 5K difference which is a better ownership propogessin, can you please do a video on it not sure what to get
Ordered a White Sport with the Touring Pack late May. If I drop the Touring Pack can get it by Christmas, with the pack have been told April/May. Considered getting the MU-X LS-T but the features, bigger engine and connectivity of the Everest got me over the line. Look forward to your full review Paul

Ordered a Platinum in April, have been told end of the year for arrival. But won’t be surprised if that’s pushed as we optioned the Tow Pack.
Same amount of room in the boot as the current model for passengers in the back (boot) seats.
Got to see it up close and personal on Wednesday in Townsville.
Ordered my plat a bit before... been told feb-march because of tow option as well.. I think i was 5th in line and only being allocated 1 per month to dealer and then tow pack causing issues :(
What did you pay drive away for the Platinum?

Does it have a long range fuel tank? Would be great if they did a Raptor version with the turbo petrol and good suspension.
interesting, do you know the maximum rear axle load limit? also fuel tank size? often important things for aussies who would buy this for towing.
Same size fuel tank as current but ARB will have long range fuel tank of 120L available to option
Hoping to order a Sport next year to replace my 20.75 Wildtrak- lease is up start of November 2023. Hopefully can get a Rhino Evolution bar for it and add some spotlights.

Have ordered a Platinum. Have been told anywhere from September to November mate. But we did put a deposit down to secure an early place in the queue to order one!! Have been told were #2 on the list at our dealer. If you can't get your hands on one, you can use ours to do your test track in, as long as I can come watch you film 🤣
Yes I paid deposit too, but no guarantee, I've been told earliest October November, latest could be March 😒
I ordered mine the day of presentation in March, (Sport/Platinum, haven't decided yet) Getting it in December. I was 8th in line at my dealer. Wait is until December due to the touring pack only. If Opted for no touring would get it in October

Rear wheel drive 4WD off-road test!
Ordered a sport with touring pack back in April. Got a call two weeks ago if I want touring pack delivery is in Feb. if i drop the touring pack delivery latest November this year. Not only touring pack can’t even get a tow pack.
Heyy, hope u and the guys are doing great. Am Elvis from Ghana just got my dream job and am thinking of upgrading from my 2012 Hyundai Accent turbo diesel and getting a pickup truck which u Aussies call it ute, we basically get the same engine and
and its output but different trim levels. between a toyota hilux 2.8, isuzu D-max 3.0, ford ranger 2.0 or 3.2 the one u think is better, new Nissan navara and Mitsubishi L200 which is my preferred choice. can u guys pls do vid on the practicality , interior, whats like leaving with and the bed use of pickup truck.
Just quoted a Feb 23 build slot on a sport with touring/towing pack. Seems touring pack delays potential delivery.
Hi Paul. Can you confirm for me if the 4WD Trend BiTurbo 2.0L also has 4A AWD. As I am hearing conflicting reports and Ford HQ can’t tell me.

Due to get our Sport in Jan 23. Must be honest I prefer the driver screen in the platinum but the overall look of the sport suited me better.
Did a pre order in March for Platinum black with tow pack. ETA provided is Sept 2022.
I enjoy your review’s but have a couple of questions. I drive an FJ Cruiser and rarely have to select low rang on your average beach/dune.
1.Does the traction control stay on when diff lock is engaged?
2. Can you turn traction control completely off for soft beach sand driving?
3.Does this mean that low range has to be selected every time you drive on a beach. The reason I ask is because sometime you might have 20 to 30kms of remote beach to cover at higher speeds say 60 to 70kms/hr (on beaches that are not too soft and treacherous obviously)

Wow, the pricing of everest is the biggest surprise of 2022.
I would have seriously brought it , hadn't I brought a palisade highlander already.
I just booked Sport model today. It just landed in Werribee Dealership today. Looks damn good. I hope it doesn't disappoint. Waiting period is 10 Months approx but they don't give any ETA.
I ordered mine back in May and told a delivery date of March, got the off-road pack also, won't mention the price but under list ;)
Well done Paul - What I really like is - That V6 Pricing... Its very temping at this point - Paul - Does the Everest Platinum comes with Duel Zone in the front and third zone in the rear?
Considering the current model Trend (which we have) comes with dual zone front with separate rear zone with vents in 2nd row AND boot, I would be amazed if the new model didn't. It's one of the selling points for us with kids in the back Great Dane in the very back.

Hi, can you do a comparison of the four major Ute based SUVs - Everest, pajero sport, mux and the fortuner?
The Everest isn't sold in the UK despite them selling the Ranger here and this being an ideal car for the UK market with no reengineering required to bring it here. I have been looking at the option of importing one from Australia but it turns out that to get it through the UK Individual Vehicle Assessment to make it legal I would need a letter from Ford Australia that is specific to the VIN number of the vehicle outlining which standards the vehicle complies with in Australia so that I can show the compliance with the equivalent UK standard. For the right person at Ford Aus I would hope this would be a pretty short and simple task to stick out this letter. With your great connections in with Ford Aus is there any chance you might be able to get someone to point me in the direction of a contact for this?
I’m curious on the rear space in the new model, ceiling to floor measurements etc. Needs to fit a mountain bike in with the seats down😁

@@rebeccagorell644 Thank you Rebecca, I'm assuming they're all length? it's the floor (third row seats folded) to ceiling height that I'm curious on so I have simply remove my front wheel and mount the bike vertical.
Weirdly I've seen the Everest in camo here in the UK. So, hopefully, we will be getting it, ideally with the V6 diesel.

I've ordered (in early June) a 4x4 Trend w/ Touring pack, expecting late Sept into Oct according to dealer.
I have ordered a Platinum Everest and the Delivery Date Quoted is March 2023. I think that it will be worth the wait.

I ordered the sport back in Jan. Got a call recently to say it could arrive b4 end of this year.
Is it possible to pay a extra premium price to have the sport blue in the platinum range? That would be the perfect vehicle for us cause that blue is straight fire!!!! We’ve settled for the Sport cause the misses is in love with that color but we won’t see it till maybe February-March we ordered it 4 months ago.
Im not sure if the diff lock was locked in the clips looks more like a traction control than a locker, that free spinning wheel should not have been spinning that much faster than the other on its axle?????

I've ordered a Platinum with off-road package. Just wondering what the overall wheel diameter will be or just what exactly size the tyres will be. (Tyre diameter, cross-sectional width and profile)
They would have that information available when you ordered.. but anyway the offroad tyre package is 255/65r18. Which is a 31in od or rolling dia

Could you give me an indication of the boot capacity on this new model? I currently drive a Land Rover Disco 4 which has 280L with the third row of seats down, and 1124L with them stowed. How does this new Everest compare? I have been spoilt to date and value the extra space the Disco provides.
No car will compare to the room you fst in a Disco 4 unfortunately, I just hate that they're a trip away from disaster

Fantastic Paul. However, I have one problem. Why the hell is the bonnet opening lever on the left side. This goes for the Ranger as well. That means you have to get out of the driver's seat and walk around to the passenger side to open the bonnet. Sitting in the driver's seat, there is no way to reach it. I tried in the Ranger. Is this another American thing, them being lefthand drive?
Just do a U-turn, that way you don't have to get out of the car!
I ordered a Sport Meteor Grey, Touring Pack, and swapped for 18inch wheels/allterrain. Placed the order late June, ETA 28th Feb 2023.

They have the Expedition in America based on the F150. Agreed though and Everest Raptor would be awesome!

the prices you stated are incorrect. I went on the ford website and the entry level starts at $58,347 and the platinum starts from $84,711. The top spec will be in the same price range as the Toyota Parado
Our dealer said it will cost close to 90k not 78k
When will this be confirmed for prices?
The issue i have with the old gen Everest is it's smaller than my VX Prado inside, so the new one is going to feel like this? ( Ford gave me a loan Everest when i serviced my XR8 Sprint) It's why i went with a Prado, and to be honest the power in the Prado is fine for me as i don't tow at all and it's used for fishing / camping and fuel usage is really decent at 8.6 overall. Fit and finish of Toyota in general is miles a head of Ford (I've owned Fords all my life) and resale is all ways betters for Toyota's. If Toyota puts the LC300 engine in the Prado which i think they will good luck Ford.
But Toyota tech is years behind practically everyone else these days.

Hi Paul, Seems like the test drive was done in the Platinum 21"inch rims. Can you give your opinion on how these held up off-road ? What level of off-roading would it handle before opting to go the 18inch off-road wheel/tyre package?
Looks a.nice capable SUV.... But ... I miss Real buttons and switches for drive modes and diff kockers... Not a fan of on screen buttons for essential 4x4 fratures.... Give me a dial with little light up icons any time!
V6 turbo diesel is a massive selling point. I wonder if the next Prado will have a V6 diesel or will it go with a Hybrid 😫

Compared to your Toyota over priced 2010 Equipped 150 Prado?
Toyota put 23% increase on landcruiser and Prado before COVID because they new the new Landcruiser wouldn’t be cheap then during COVID increased another 10%, then reduced production to make them rare, OH WHAT FEELING.
Your may as well compare it to G-Wagon on pricing.

I don’t buy Toyota, they’re as useless as Ford was before they started using this new V6. I’m a euro fan, though I’ve got a new Raptor ordered as the drivetrain is too good a thing to ignore. You can take your parochialism and go troll someone else who’s offended your narrow views ;)
@@lordcaptain73 Euro 4X4 cars are all the rage and handle Aussie conditions real well, reliable, great re-sell value, there a cheap option?
Be realistic, Euro 4X4 are used by soccer mums on bitumen tracks.
The issue I see with this 'modern' design is that it completely isolates serious 4x4ers because I don't see anywhere to add integrated expansion switches. So driving lights will probably have to piggy-back with the hi-beams.

We in SE Asia is like the “step kid” of all brands. Most of the brands, including the japanese and korean doesnt allow us to customize, and we are paying like almost 70k that is USD for the highest spec(titanium), that does not come with heated/ventilated seat, no b&o, and the seat is plain and simple unlike the platinum. 😢

Good bye Prado! Though I don’t know why they put massive wheels on the up market models and don’t have long range fuel tanks in stead of 7 seats.

Whoever delivers the first PHEV - Everest, Prado or Grenadier - will get our order.
Where is the ranger?
1: Ford, for FS, enter Japanese market. There is enough models that will fit the market. This is one of them. :)
2: Create something sensible that target Defender. But sensible. No need for air suspension and narrow enough to be usable in the forest.
This car looks amazing. I think better than Prado, and I really like Prado.
Who makes the motor is it Italian same specs as Jeep
Disappointing that there is no green in the colour range. Ford offers the Eruption Green on the Bronco in the US.
