I've been saying since the Hattons Genesis coaches were announced that a similar range of "Generic" bogie coaches would make a perfect companion. Thank You Rapido, my heritage Midland set/rake will now be complete 😁 (I'll also take one GWR coach as well just because :P) These will sell like hot cakes I'm sure.
One day I hope another company takes up the mantle of the Genesis. With theses new coaches I can't wait to see some Southern green livery ones. These would also be perfect for departmental work and breakdown cranes.
@@robertward9847 Rails are delivering the second batch, but I don’t think they own the tooling, from what I gather Hattons are just letting them deliver so they didn’t have to cancel orders. Correct me if I’m wrong tho
These look spectacular. They’ll be the perfect compliment to my Hornby coaches. Looking forward to the North Eastern, LNWR, Great Central, and Midland railway liveries the most.
Fantastic launch video, a serious cut above the likes of Hornby and Bachmann. I would like to see these available in SR lined Olive as well. Most bogie coaches did considerable service before being phased out by electrification or replaced by Maunsell corridor stock from 1926 onwards. I'm glad to finally be getting a few sets to go behind my Brighton Atlantics :)
For the love of Heaven, PLEASE make these a standard long-term part of your range, not just a quick short-term run that leaves those who discover it late or are strapped for cash out in the cold. Learn from the mistake of the Hatton's Genesis range; they were fantastic, but where are they now? Meanwhile Hornby's far inferior version is still available and has cornered the market.
Finally a nice small coach to supplement or replace the ancient Hornby /Tri-ang Clerestories, well done Rapido. Looking forward to seeing a Great Eastern version or versions depending on if you decide to do the same livery choices as your trams. I’m assuming that the range will be expanded as time goes on to include first and multiple brake variants (so say first, composite and full) as well as other railway companies?
Oh Boy! I can't wait for Hornby to announce their "Progression" range of bogie coaches in 2 weeks! Joke aside, these look astounding. Can't wait! Definitely wanna snag that GWR Clerestory set
They didn’t have to go so hard in this intro, holy shep. 🔥 Nah but for real these coaches look great! I kinda wanna model these things digitally in something like Roblox.
While I can’t say positively that I will be getting a preorder in, I do hope these will be a resounding success with Rapido to warrant a second run touching more liveries. If a NER pack had been announced, you can bet I’d have placed an order, especially with the Y7s.
You sent me an email about the coaches, they are nice, but I can't afford them, I'm sorry to say. I don't have room for them either. I'd like to see you try N Gauge rolling stock.
My wallet 😭😭😭 this is why I shouldn’t model heritage, then there’s nothing stopping my bank account from screaming… in all seriousness this is awesome though!!
@@caledonianrailway1233looks like it. When these are released next year, I hope they announce a 2nd batch. however, you could pre-order a set that you like and re-brand it when it releases.. These look interesting but they're hardly affordable. Only a few years ago, the £70 that one of these coaches is selling for could get you a lot more. I worry for the state of this hobby going forward if high prices are going to be the norm.

Ludicrous prices
£59 at the retailers is similar to many Bachmann coaches and less than the Accurascale mk1 non-gangways.
