I like the little details like the horses because it's an older period than what you do originally so it gives a better immersion feeling ! Plus you puted the capitals so thanks you !
Quick tip for pre industrial warfare Back then the main chunk of the army wasn't spread out on the border, but concentrate in one unit. These units then would meet with the enemy unit where a big battle could take place. Think like Napoleon at Waterloo. His order wasn't to advance across the entire Belgian border, instead he marched in with an army and meet Wellington's army at Waterloo, which he had to defeat to advance. TLDR: the entire border wouldn't move. It would be more of a small blob moving from place to place
Forma is larger than Earth and might possibly have more people than our world at this time period even if it's just the Centauran Continent, so it's possible that these "mass frontline" assaults are in reality, multiple armies duking it out over this span of land.
@@alicorn3924 since the Centauran conflict's means of warfare haven't changed much when compared to our own, then I see no reason for pre industrial warfare to be too different either. Also, multiple armies just mean multiple blobs moving. Look at the capture of Paris, 1814. The coalition had 2 armies that Napoleon couldn't fight at once. Whenever he was engaging one, the other advanced.
@@krum1703 and the use of radios and railroads were the key reason on why warfare is not one blob of an army anymore since it made it easier to order units and organize them so i agree with that point
I love the work and the mapping, I will say though unlike modern wars, ww2 and ww1 for instance, where frontlines were a huge improvement factor and armies covered whole sections of the country napoleonic wars and basically any war before the 1890s consisted of Armies marching towards targets and/or setting up on fields to engage other armies. Which is why field battles are so common. Occupations did take place but that was normally after the region or city was secured post battle instead of a frontline slowly progressing towards it. Sieges are a different story as normally the whole city would be surrounded and the traditional sense of a frontline would be a thing but other than that you had field engagements the only reason an opposing force could take an area is if you were to lose a battle or your army would route. Encirclements weren’t really a thing in this era of warfare (unless like I mentioned earlier it was during a siege) I suppose it would be hard to map out in the traditional sense but I believe you could display armies moving around as units on the map and engaging or out maneuvering each other to secure an objective. Just some constructive criticism. But I do really think this is great work!
I really liked watching this, though i would point out like a few other people that it would be nice to see armies represented not only in realistic fashion and not large Frontlines, but also in army designation and soldier count.
That is not how wars were fought back then. Go see some videos about like the napoleonic era or the American civil war. Plenty of videos of those periods and should help give an understanding of how shit worked before around ww1.

Volucris location is located where Talona should be
I think somewhere in north Aquila
So acording to the lore we had napoleonic wars in centaura? Atleast 19 years before our reality?
def not the napoleanic wars, way too small scale, it would most likely happen in hydra
How do you make these?
I'll make a video about it later
