Played this while tripling on acid, I still managed to beat the hard path with a single beam. Probably was the hardest gaming moment of my life, also one of my greatest achievements.

But I tell you it was visually stunning to look at, the polygons and Lazer effects expanded far beyond the TV, and the surround sound system we used was amazing. When the secret boss on Corneria flew in, it sounded as if a real life jet was passing over our place. Aquas was a scary map to play cause we were in a basement with only Christmas lights on, so when you get to the deep depths of the level it felt like we were deep underwater, I never died one until we got up to Zone 6, which I died on the boss cause it's phasing in and out of sight along with its giant rainbow beam was too much, I actually dodged and moved in real life cause it was coming out the TV for me. So once I finally managed to beat it, I went into Venom, it was only me and Falco cause Peppy and Slippy had died prior. Falco and I managed to beat 3 of 4 members before he went down and I killed Leon last. Then going to face Andross was crazy cause when you fight him as a brain, the background looked like some TOOL or Alex Grey art. My strategy was circling over and over until I caught up to the back of the brain. I beat the game and afterwards my thumb was so sore cause according to my friend, he was sure I didn't stop pressing the A button for my entire playthrough.

But seeing maps like sector X, Titania, and Venom 1 where the stone robot runs away was fun cause for both me and friend he was soooooo far away.
Micro Blast, Yes, the best way to shoot down Slippy, Peppy, and Falco is at Sector Z, and then take Bolse on the easy path, but Slippy, Peppy, and Falco will return to Venom 1, unlike Area 6 and Venom 2 on the hard path, in which they will have to retire for the rest of the game.
Good show...I was on the edge of my seat. You know, I was wondering if maybe in the future they might use the engine that runs the Star Wolf team in actual training simulations.

I just beat Starfox 64's hard route on Expert mode lost so many lives crahsing in the tunnel at the very end but escaped by sheer luck on my last chance! James was flying so far ahead of me! I am so happy!!!!
I remember the first time I fought them on venom, I failed to shoot down andrew on fortuna (technically fichina) and so I expected him in bolse until I got warped to sector Z and fought area 6, once I saw the 3 that I shot down getting cybernetics I thought "Andrew is lucky as fuck not to receive those wounds." And then he appears with cybernetics, as if I shot him.
If you want to try a fun challenge try to see how fast you can destroy the ships on boise while the ships are still shielded and YES it is possible that you can get them destroyed if you can get them to bounce into the force field.
Watch the mini-map carefully. Remember that they'll somersault or u-turn after taking a few hits. Don't u-turn when Wolf is chasing you or he'll stay on your tail. Try to grab the health they drop when they die, as they'll always drop either a star or a gold ring. There's some advice.

Don't just utilize somersaults. Make sharp turns as much as you can. Utilize both in conjunction to get them off of you for a moment.
