I admire all of them but especially Miku and her will to make a great band. She also writes the majority of lyrics. This was a live-online show due to Covid. It was a great show! Check out Manners and Black Hole to see the range of their music in one video! This song also has an acoustic version for a limited time on their channel.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This beautiful song surprised me when I found the meaningful and suggestive lyrics about two lovers on the verge of being parted had been inspired by Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. That is why Sayonakidori = Nightingale (*). Miku is a truly talented artist, and an excellent producer as well.

The scorebook for this album came with a CD of the whole record sans vocals and we were all blown away at how there was even MORE going on instrumentally than we realized before.
There is some post-production polishing here and Miku's still working on nailing that high part live. She asked Kanami to make it more challenging and Kanami went a little overboard - plus the other members won't let her switch to a falsetto. They're always challenging themselves and each other.
She got also a solo projekt under the Name "Cluppo"😄
Most full length BAND-MAID albums have a song with Miku singing lead.
They are: 'Summer Drive', 'Big Dad', 'Beauty and The Beast', 'TIME', 'Rock In Me' and 'サヨナキドリ - Nightingale'.
There's also a six song EP titled 'hatofull' from Miku's side project cluppo, as well as a newer cluppo song titled 'With you' that was written as an anime closing theme song.

You can blame the virus (can't say the name..stupid TH-cam alg..) for the lack of audience....but during this time Band Maid still found a way to keep relevant with their online concerts and steady MV releases....its what you have to do and they did it!!

This vid was from one of the several "live online concerts" that the band did during the height of COVID lockdowns. If you want to see what Band-Maid can do live with an audience in front of them, check out the live version of "Domination" from their Line Cube Shibuya show from 2020.
You now need to do the Acoustic version of this song, it is only available online for a short time. In the acoustic it is Miku, Akane the drummer and MISA the bassist. The song was rearranged almost entirely by Miku with the exception of some chording help from Kanami.
Miku has the drive and determination that would put anyone else to shame and despair. There is some background I've found that make's me admire her even more than I already did. THAT information however I won't be sharing in any public venue.
This is what many of us call a Miku song, she normally has one per album where she takes the lead and during concerts it's where Saiki the Primary Lead either goes backstage or on a couple of them Saiki actually sings backup.
And to really blow your mind you need to watch Onset (Live) aka "Saiki's Pee Break", then Play (Live) and Domination (Live)
This is the same song I suggested in Patreon but a world different.
During COVID, while most of the entertainment world was complaining about losing money, Asian artists were raking it in doing Livestream with more viewers than you could fit in any stadium.

Many fans will say it's written for Saiki's pee break, but I think It's the band's decision to give Miku the opportunity to take the centre stage and let her shine.
I think the band has a few songs with her as the lead vocalist and those songs suit her voice perfectly.
"Freedom" live and "Play" live were performed live with an audience
For your next one, I suggest the live version of No God or Black Hole. Black Hole is the fastest BPM of their current song list (I think 220), but that’s probably going to change when the new EP comes out.
Also, the acoustic version of this song is exceptional. The video is up on their YT page now, but it’s only there for a limited time. I would suggest you take a listen to it, even if you don’t do a reaction video for it.
Miku is VERY determined. She looks and acts all cutesy but be careful about pushing all-in against her. She took second in a poker tournament earlier this year, and was a bit irritated that she didn't win. The "lead" singer is Saiki; she developed polyps during their early years gigging in lots of small clubs. By 2017 it was getting bad and her vocal coach told her she would eventually need surgery. She was worried about it but had surgery in the summer of 2017, and since has been much more careful. The band schedules down time for her during their shows - it's not usually a long time but they'll have a few minutes of chatting with the crowd and then they'll do an instrumental or Miku will sing a solo song which will allow Saiki about 15 minutes to rest. I think she's much more careful about warming up, and during the C-19 break she took up running as a way of keeping her core muscles strong. Miku also had polyps removed at the same time so she's not immune to the problems of singing in a rock band. Miku might actually have the better voice, meaning more range and more variety of tone, but Saiki has the gravitas and stage presence. They compliment each other very well. I've noticed that Miku will alter her voice to match Saiki sometimes and it makes it hard to know who's singing which line. They did an acoustic stream on Christmas Day last year, and in that setting it became very clear just what great singers they both are.
Miku is the hardest woman in Rock! She is the soul of Band-Maid plus her side project "Cluppo" is pretty cool too. I don;t think she sleeps....if she does does it's while she's working. These girls are for real and crazy talented.

Saiki (Lead V) = early pee break. Miku (2nd V, lyricist, founder) is the genius Pigeon of Band Maid, Po! Others will explain. This was one of the 4 livestream concert during the pandemic era 2020 - 2022, of which Miku does an acoustic version of Sa-yo-na-ki-do-ri (a common Nightingale bird with a loud voice). There's a YT MV for that.
There's so much to admire about our 🕊Pigeon🕊 (Miku🌹). I will always be grateful to her for creating BAND-MAID..The band that has brought light to my darkness...Long May They Reign.

Band-Maid is a live band playing 2+ hour sets.
They usually have a break in the middle where Miku entertains the audience and the rest of the band gets a break.
The Lead singer Saiki needs a bit longer rest to protect her voice (she had problems some years ago) and Band-Maid plays an instrumental and/or a "Miku song".
A "Miku song" is written specifically for Miku to sing (live and on the cd) and she never sings Saikis part. (Unless Saiki gets lost in the crowd during the song and "someone" has to finish it)
This was alive stream during Covid. This lady- Miku, writes most of the lyrics and she gets a solo song on each album and this is one of them- spoken quote in the middle of the song is from Shakespears Romeo and Juliet. Sayonakidori- Nightingale, another reference to the play. She uses many different subjects for her songs- astrophysics to romance.

Several of their Live performances happened during COVID, so no audience. They couldn't get out to the fans, so they streamed PPV concerts. Recently they released an acoustic version of this song which has a very different feel (as you might imagine).

This was streaming concert. They play like 25 songs in their concerts so Saiki takes a break or two and other play an instrumental or Miku sings. You should see their energy in front of a crowd. React to Domination, Official Live Video. And for one of their instrumentals, check out Onset Live.
As others have mentioned, during the lockdown they couldn’t do shows with live audiences so they did them online for their fans.
As you mentioned she was the original vocalist for the band and also the band founder. This whole thing was her idea. She tends to have 1 song per album where she is the main vocalist. During performances they’ll use those songs or straight instrumentals (like Onset, which you should check out) to give the lead singer (Saiki) a break. Fans often refer to it as her pee break songs.
For live videos with actual audiences, there are several to choose from. I recommend Domination, Play, Freedom or Real Existance. They should all be on the band’s channel
Listen again with headphones and you’ll hear a lot more. In fact headphones are necessary for all Band Maid songs!
I use headphones during the live streams (3 hours a day every day ) and literally need the ear freedom haha.

Rewatching this, I caught your comment about Miku's guitar. It is her own Signature guitar from Zemaitis called "The Flappy Pigeon", Miku helped with the design. If you can check out the close up photos of it and see if you can count all the doves/pigeons on the Duralumin front. Miku has only been playing guitar about 8 1/2 years and now is considered by many to be in the top 50 of live rhythm guitarists. Granted there are other such as studio musicians who are better, but as a Live performer, Miku is top 50 EASILY. The same with the other Ladies. MISA the bassist is easily top 20 Live, the same with Kanami the lead guitarist and Akane the drummer. As live musicians these ladies are near the top of their class. And every year, they only get better.
Seriously though you NEED to do a reaction the acoustic version of this song before it is taken down. It will probably only be up another week or two before it goes back into the vault.
Funny story I almost did the acoustic version of this instead but switched last min (thumbnail and all) and good catch on the gtr mention I do remember saying that. Either way, I’m hooked on band-maid so expect more soon!!!

Unfortunately, there have been so many good songs that are no longer up except for fans uploading them so reactors can find them. Those get taken down by the label, although some are allowed to stay up, such as P in D's photo collage's
Miku is the founder of this great band, she writes the lyrics and is really she spoke person of the group. A bit nut-nut too. This is a nice contradiction in this song of singing light but playing hard.

Yeah, look for the live acoustic version of this. Just as amazing. Then do yourself a favor and find any of their lives with audiences like Domination, Play or Real Existence.

She is responsible for having those guitars made I'm not sure if she owns the company or is sponsored but she has a complete line of acoustics as well
For their concerts (servings), they like to give the main vocalist breaks periodically to help preserve her voice, so they would play an instrumental number, Miku, the rhythm guitarist/co-vocalist, will have a solo song (this one is their most recent one) and she'll also have an MC time. A good example of a live show with an audience would be Domination live or Real Existence live. Both of which can be found on their YT channel
