I bought One of these for my channel too, had been very neglected and I paid around £1600 but in an un-crashed condition, then set about making it beautiful again, with new fairings from "Monster Fairings" which were ordered in Colour so no painting costs. Turned out very nice over 6 seperate videos on the channel. including fitting the Chinese budget fairings! Amazing bikes on a showstring 😁
As a blackbird owner, that is awesome to get invited with your bike to the races for the day. Great job of learning as you rebuilt the bike and that will make the next bike you wrench on in the future that much easier.
Hello. I watched all your episodes. I'm glad the bike is ready and looks great. I also congratulate you on becoming so famous. I want to tell you that your bike was very expensive and took forever. I live in Antwerp and have the same bike that cost me 2300 euros ready to ride. Great bike, I've ridden it at the Nuerburgring and at Spa-Francorchamps. I wish you success in all new challenges. Regards, Daniel.
I do get it. Its a youtube project and I for one have watched your journey and enjoyed every post, so from this point it maybe worth it. However for a layman to consider replication is a non starter. The cost do not include transport (looks like you hired a van to collect the bike initially) and obviously your time and effort was uncosted. Thanks for posting and I look forward to your progress with the Yamaha.
Well done! I have really enjoyed watching these episodes of the blackbird rebuild. I didn't enter the contest as I only have room for one bike 😅 great job.
What a journey, excellent job and brave starting with no experience. But you really should mount the exhausts on the inside of the passenger foot pegs. Would look much better, but that’s just me!
You certainly picked the right BSB round for your first visit! That finale will be talked about for years to come. Nice to see you chatting to Ian - he's a top bloke and Moto Rapido is my local dealer. How about a Ducati rebuild as a future project?
The amount of money spent on my last three bikes ,, suspension wheels, titinium Sato racing system,,etc eBay should send me a few quid,,, it's great for parts though,,,, bike looks good 👍☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland
When you do the thunder ace would like to see more on the rebuild as one minute it was an engine in a frame then next it was a fully built bike did you have any help or was it all done by yourself.
Please see the Honda Blackbird playlist the complete journey is there. The part I missed out was not showing me fitting the fairing as I wanted to reveal the bike as a surprise i.e the colour
I’m looking at doing a similar project and have very limited skills so I watched the videos for hints and to see if I could do it but ther seems to be a lot of the build missing connecting the engine and wiring so just wanted to know if you had any help with any of the build so I know where I need to go if I have similar problems .cheers.@@BikesofRye
Hi Brian - I have seen you have spammed a handful of my uploads in quick succession. Please know that the bike has been MOT'd, has had a health check by a Honda main dealer and I have ridden the bike. Also all my work is on TH-cam to see, including everything torqued up to spec by the book. Which is more than can be said for buying a second hand bike off a stranger. 😁
You could have resprayed it yourself for a lot less than that, a partial respray in the same colour ? Your statement at 7:13 is a little puzzling. "I could have just gone ahead and replaced the engine" but you did replace the engine ? A good build though, enjoyed the first start up.

Good rebuild.
Bike looks good now. Definitely a keeper.

You did a fine job of saving this bike from the breakers. IMO it needs some decals for that final touch.
Nice to see you are getting some acknowledgement for your work, good for you.
Thanks it is certainly rewarding 😃
You've done an excellent job mate hats off to ya for saving such an iconic bike.
Well done great result! But even more the experience you now have at! Working on bikes 👍
True that!
Congrats mate! Hard work truly pays off!
Yes it does!
What a fantastic result!
Thank you! Cheers!
Man this was awesome. What an opportunity. Thanks for taking us along.
Any time!
4:36 that line made me emotional! Super proud of ya mate!
Rear cans need to be mounted on the inside of the rear foot hangers not the outside.
Watched start to finish. Excellent job mate. Serious set of steel bearings ya got on ya!
that track day was just reward for all your efforts, glad you enjoyed it.
well done mate! so pumped for you, good effort.
What an incredible experience. Congratulations!
Great video, great series. Can't wait for the next build project!!!!!
More to come!
What a great day you had. I normally go to Oulton, Donington and Cadwell, so gutted I missed seeing you and the bike. Brill stuff.
Wow, what an experience you had. Must of been brilliant seeing behind the scenes. Well done you 👏🏼
It was such an amazing atmosphere on the day. Thanks!
That was my brothers Blackbird I’ve got plenty of pics of it

A great job for a wonderful bike 😋🙂

Ryan, you lucky lucky bar steward attending the BSB round, keep up the videos. Well done mate 👍👍👍👍
Thanks Jason - also got your emails by the way!! Came in handy for ordering a gasket off eBay. Will be in touch no doubt cheers
Well done top man
Looks great mate you need to invest in a funnel for toping up ya oil lol
Great content and entertaining content , nice 1. Thanks
Glad you think so! Appreciate you and hope to see you on the next one 🙏🏼
Damn, I guessed to low. Doesn’t matter. I already gave a blackbird (in blue). Well dome on this. Bike is awesome 😊
Next one mate, maybe the next one 😁
Good on you mate 👍
Thanks 👍

I've decided to buy another one as that was the quickest way of rebuilding my blackbird project 😊
Great vlog, but WOW, very expensive!!!
it deffo needs some stickers on it
'Deffo hahaha' .....school starts again next week. Time to do some learning.
give over you old plonker@@stevegray5709
I was tired just watching
❤️🏴 love from Scotland 🏴 ❤

Well deserved Rye. How were the 44Teeth guys?
Was the old engine not salvageable to? I thought it just had a damaged stator cover and high mileage?
I thought so too until collection....the holes to mount the cover no longer existed due to the accident
What make were the front and rear discs please? I thought that you did a parts list of the build but could not find it.
eBay for these and from memory non-branded. Came with the pads too
Thank you for getting back love watching your channel what is the next project?

You built a death trap.....you should be so proud. Who ever wins it is cursed.

Мотоцикл просто бомба,проведена хорошая робота по восстановлению ...
I would keep the red paint.
How long did it actually take you?
The bike looks awesome. 👌
Around 7ish months... 2 of those months were waiting for the fairing to be painted
@BikesofRye that's not bad going.
Considering you didn't have a clue & no proper tools.
Throughly impressed with the outcome. Hats off to you. 🫡
Each to their own i know but matt coloured paint jobs are horrific. That aside great effort
Some red pinstripes and it would look like the SR 71 black bird.
I bought a non runner that had been dry stored for years a few weeks ago for £600, so I guess mine is the cheapest now 😂
Congratulations on your successful build. You now have a taste of what it takes to build a one off custom
Plenty more to come 😉
Absolutely went to town onit
I think u don’t need to be mechanical minded to get into ya finded 😅

I could have just replaced the engine, and ridden it without any other work. It has an MOT when I bought it
@@BikesofRye Not being funny but how could you ride it with a damaged fairing ?
Something seems so off with that £1200 paint job, could just be me but maybe it's the matte finish or no decals? just looks like a spray can special.
4.29 lingered just a bit to long lol
Problem is sometimes you spend more money on bikes that will never get it all back😢 same with cars or anything
🏍👍👍
You took it in a van, why? Sixty miles.
For sure but practicality with all the gear, filming equipment it wouldn't have made my day a lot more challenging
You having a laugh? Could have done it for half that price.
No, you didnt
Hey have you seen my Honda Blackbird playlist? Check it out if you get the chance 😁
Certainly not worth it. Just throwing money away on an old bike.
It's not any old bike... its a Honda Blackbird 😉
