On a future update everything should automatically be mapped and done one the software recognizes the Mpk all models just like the software does with the mpc’s

The MPK Mini Plus is automatically mapped to control MPC Beats via both its onboard MPC program (PGM 1, the default program when the unit is powered on) and the factory "Akai MPK Mini Plus" mapping in MPC Beats. Upon opening MPC Beats for the first time after installing, the Startup Wizard will open and select the "Akai MPK Mini Plus" mapping by default. This video primarily serves as a reference for how to use the MIDI Learn function to change this default mapping or creating custom mappings.

Upgraded to latest version and still can't find this option. Is there some special Akai download to add it manually? Or we need to wait for some patch? If this is series of "getting started" videos, I guess it is supposed I recently bought MPK Mini Plus and now have it near me, connected to my laptop, without anything installed. Since its 2nd video, and 1st was about "how to update MPK Mini Plus", my keyboard is updated. What to do next? Video is broken, I can't do step on 1:05 UPDATE: overall video is good, thank you🤝
Nice tutorial, provided if someone uses MPC Beats. I can't configure the knobs in Bit Wig. It's a nightmare. My English is not the best. In the previous Akai MPK mini everything works plug and play, here they complicated everything
Hi there , Anyone knows how to set up pads on MPK mini to work on MPC LIVE 2 (standalone mode ) ? They do respond to MIDI signal but are mapped all wrong - fi. PAD 1 on MPC LIVE is PAD 2 on MPK... Thanks in advance :)
Did you ever figure this out? I have an MPC Live 2 as well with the Mini Plus. The Stop, Play, Rec buttons do not work on the keyboard for me. If I am using the transport controls on the Live 2, the keys work just fine for transferring the midi note data. But the transport controls do not work from the Mini Plus.
oh goodness, this is amazing, I have been searching hard for this information! will this Beats script map the transport controls to the MPC One and Live 2? I bought this unit specifically for use with mpc hardware. can you please release an more automated midi mapping in the next firmware or provide downloads scrips for Akai products and other daw software somewhere on your site? Hi! We've just tested this and confirmed that there definitely IS a map for the MPK mini Plus, both in the startup wizard and MIDI Learn window. Please make sure you have registered the mini Plus and you are downloading/installing the MPC Beats software using the MPK mini Plus Software Manager. Follow our setup & registration video for a walkthrough. p.s. Ableton maps are released by Ableton, usually within a software update. Any maps for the MPK mini Plus are likely in beta or waiting for release in an Ableton update. Hope this helps!
Hey I have an issue where I can’t hear anything on mpc beats, when I press a key or one of the pads it does nothing, even if I do it with the mouse on the pc 1:50
I just saw it above in a comment after tripped over the solution, but install MPC Beats from the Akai Mini Plus Software Manager. That updated mine to 2.11.6 (same version as the full MPC software) and the keyboard was autodetected through the setup wizard. I'm really not sure why the Get MPC Beats page is giving out 2.8.3 and immediately prompting for an update to 2.11.5. And then the Software Manager has 2.11.6.

My MPC Beats has created 1000 duplicate MPK Mini Plus User MIDI mappings. I have updated all firmware and software but yet nothing fixes this issue. How can I fix this?
updated last firmware 1.13, there is not audio on my macos m1. Garage bands works as plug and play, I setted the preferences as showed in the video, a track is playing in MPC DAW, but there is no audio

Hi Tyler! Knobs 9-16 in MPC Beats can be controlled using the MPK Mini Plus's Q-Link knobs by changing their assigned mappings in MPC Beats to do so. The BANK A/B button is only used to switch between Pads 1-8 and 9-16.

dash how has this been working in ableton live for you? i want to buy but i didnt like the last two mpk mini i purchased but this one ads a lot of what i was missing, now it just needs to function as they always claim
@@bloodcell6282 hi mate, i learned that unfortunately there is no official support for the mini plus in ableton YET. it works as a midi keyboard and sequencer but the knobs you have to map them manually. they promised me that with the next ableton update there will be support for the mini plus. in the meantime there is an unofficial script that you can get from the akai support to make it work, this is the same script the sent to all the influencers for promotion. this is a bit of a bummer but i just hope they will release the update soon. hope this helps you :)

Cant figure out how to. Everything is greyed out on my MPC when i choose Transport in the "view" dropdown

I agree. Just got it today and I might send it back. I don’t want to sit and map it to Logic Pro. There should be a template or something for it.

@inMusicBrandsSupport Akai MPK Mini Plus's transport don't work in FL Studio nor Ableton Live.
Please add an easy way to make it work properly.

There's no MPK Mini Plus showing up in the factory choice in MPC Beats for me even though I've updated to the latest version.
