I bought the kit and adjusted the size to make this lovely blanket in a larger scale. Yesterday, I gifted the completed blanket to my DIL as her late Christmas gift. The Titan yarn in Cottonwood was out of stock for a short time and I had to wait for more before completing it. Oh! It turned out so beautifully and I plan to make one for myself using Taupe in the Titan yarn. Cottonwood is so beautiful but I just know I would get it dirty and possibly stained so I went with a darker color for my own. Another kit from Mary Maxim using the Titan yarn is a simple slipper and I am making a pair for my DIL to match her blanket. Thank you for a gorgeous design and pattern and the competent tutorial!
In South Africa it is to hot to crochet blankets in the summer. This is the ideal time to crochet a blanket, so today is the day. Our winter is here, and my lap is gonna be nice and warm while crocheting. Thank you so much for your beautiful patterns ❤

Love your instructions. I am glad you told me about washing the blanket after making. I didn’t like the yarn I received so I got wool ease thick and quick.

Hi MJ Thank you so much for this beautiful pattern ...you've inspired a rusty middle school crocheteer to start after a gap of 38 years. A question- the titan yarn recommends a hook 6mm but you seem to use 9mm....is it because you want a larger design? Can you up hook sizes by 3mm? How does one decide?

I’m so happy to discover your patterns and designs and bought the pattern (although you have no idea how much I appreciate you offering free on your blog), I have a quick question I noticed after 1st stitch in eye, the 2nd loop is pulled through both the front and back leg of that stitch before doing the 4 th pull up… I noticed in other Star stitch tutorials they only go through the front leg… does this stitch make it more stable to go through both legs or is it just a preference ? You are genuinely a talented designer and are so generous with your art, and I’m thrilled to bits to start the pattern… I actually have chained all the stitches and then my OCD brain picked this up and felt should ask !! 😊

How many chains have you started with for a queen size blanket and how many chains do we need for a king size blanket with 10mm hook

I get them done at the salon. I couldn't tell you the brand. I always pick out a very light pink or mauve :)
