Did you try to see if anyone else had these same issues as you? Some of the less severe ones seem like they could maybe be the result of a bad batch.. but also maybe not. Would be interesting to see. Then again, if that's the case, you'd think the company would've given you replacements and taken yours for testing. It really does seem like they don't care. Either way, this was a very well put together video! Hopefully this will help others make a more informed purchase if they're in the market for a pair of controllers.
tried to talk to pimax live support, they left me on read for like 30 minutes, and then gave me incorrect information when i asked if the swords work with the index 10/10 company
My index controllers, all 3 of them that I have had, are misaligned in the same way your pimax sword is. I had assumed that was normal since passthrough is basically the only time you'll ever notice it.
ive got an issue that when i load hammer and search for props some of them are not there. if i decompile a map only some of the props show up others show as error signs could you please make a video showing how to get all the props to load manually or have i not downloaded the correct games? this is for gmod
i have the same issue and the haptics on it are way too weak to even be a viable answer to this problem. From what i understand, the controller's polling rate is nearly 30% slower than the knuckles, making even the base quest controllers faster than them. Pimax makes an amazing HMD and the tracking of said HMD is on par, if not better than the index. but their controllers seem like investors told their engineers to "copy valve" and gave them an intern's budget. I feel if pimax gets serious about their controllers, we could see a valued contender to the knuckles, but at this point in time, dont even waste a glancing thought on them.
If you've clapped your index controllers hard a single time they can misbehave. Otherwise tracking issues are likely at the lighthouse / environment level.
Kind of performing some necromancy here, buuuut has Pimax released any software updates that help with the tracking issues, etc? Otherwise, excellent video!
Hey can I ask you a question?, I've watching your hammer tutorial recently and I've been learning a lot, I also noticed you have a custom intro, to do that you need a video with a .bik extension right?, you know any way to convert from mp4 to bik? The only program I've seen that does that is Bink 2 from Rad video tools but that apparently has a virus/trojan or something.
@@TopHATTwaffle damn, was really hoping for decent beat saber controllers. Quest 2 in pcvr is alright but damn is that high speed tracking lacking. Quest 2 controllers, thumbsticks and capacitive touch buttons/triggers and all, but base station tracked with steamvr; that's the dream.
the anger i feel towards these fucking controllers is immense at least you can swing them around for more than 2 seconds without one fucking going into the floor and staying there
Fantastic video! Almost bought swords. This completely turned me off to them. Too many little issues. Trackpads/trigger feel/tracking issues.... Hard pass. 🤚
As a person who's most expensive VR controllers are the default Quest 2 controllers, I find this information interesting
Thanks for the review! Appreciate seeing stuff like this.

From talking to some other beat saber players, they had similar experiences with tracking.
It looks like they took a model of like oculus cv1 controllers and just stuck on the tracking ring, and the thumb face
How do you make 45 degree ramps in hammer

10/10 company
Wow, thank you. I had these controllers in my cart right now... Fuck that. I'm not buying that garbage..

Good review! Not going to buy them, but do they work with the Base-station 2.0 ?
Can you review the etee controllers?
Did you play with haptics enabled? My Index Controllers jitter from that and I wonder if the sword controllers could have had the same issue.

funny I'm having accuracy issue in Beat Saber with my Index. I think I just got a slightly defect one after 4 RMAs

Will you bring doing tutorials for source2? Really looking forward to it

have any of these issues been fixed?
Not that I know of. They are still bad.

nope
I have these conrollers but I use em for my ankle trackerXD
pretty sure the trackpad issue was just your thumb being small
You have hands?!
