@@Smiffix I'm still trying to figure out my schedule because it looks like this year will be a busy one for me! Currently doing Thurs/Sat/Sun mornings though :)
@@Merhawi213 You can apply for financial aid, but may not be available in your country. And I am not sure about the language difference, you may be able to change that in your settings or message the Coursera support team for assistance.
no minimum of time, finish it however you want. They do seem to give a little caution when you have gone "too fast or too far" ahead in little time so they will make you wait like a day or two to do an exam or a quiz so that you can study more before those.
I am currently almost done with mine and I was wondering how did you go about landing your job? What tips or tricks could to offer to someone going the same route? Thanks so much for this video.
Honestly, the best thing to notate is just to set yourself up for success within the interview. Also, present yourself well on your resume, learn how to modernize your resume for the field you want to be in, and see what others in the field are doing with theirs. Also, take notes of what you should expect in interviews for the field on TH-cam videos. A lot of people who are recruiters make videos to help.
Wassup Bro I just enrolled yesterday I just completed the first module because I had to go back and retake my notes. What kind of job did you land with the certification? And was it hard or was it options?
IT Support/Helpdesk. I had a good amount of options once I advertised my skills, experience, and plans for my career within my resume and cover letters, its important to never strain away from making your presentation powerful.
Understandable, I believe they discontinued those because they started implementing certifications throughout Coursera. Microsoft, IBM, and other companies also have certifications on this site, it's worth a look, but nothing is comparable to CompTIA tbh.
Not exactly. They do provide jobs that are "listing" the cert on their qualifications, which is driven from LinkedIn. But besides that they just give a roundabout of what jobs and the levels to look for.
@@Smiffix and? You still can get an interview and land a job. I work in tech and most people get hired based on their looks dude 😂 I have friends in HR with different tech companies 😂 .
Things are so different now. You can have over 30 years of experience, multiple degrees, and certifications and have interviews with people who don't have your skill level, experience, or certifications and they won't hire because they will say your over qualified. Now they don't want the best person.
Congrats on the new job!! So glad it worked out for you :D
Thank you!
I missed your stream earlier this morning, I need to turn your notifications back on, what's your normal schedule now?

i just finished it and im starting to apply with it
Good luck friend, let me know how your hunt goes.
Hello, did you manage to get a job?
any luck?
I got a job with the cert 😂 it's all about how you sell yourself. I personally know people who don't have a GED and landed tech jobs 😂🤣
if you dont mind, how much you get paid for your first job? i want to have an idea if the certification really works
well the range for entry level IT is around 40 - 60k based on experience.
so it would be in that range until more certs or experience is gained.
@@Smiffixnot true. Depends who you know in the biz.
I live in Ethiopia how do I get this certificate?
Not sure honestly, its available on Coursera.org
@@Smiffix tnx for replying!! can I get it for free?
@@Merhawi213cousera offers financial aid so technically there is possiblity to get for free

if i study 5 to 6 hours a day, can i end this course in like 1 month or there's a minimum of time that u have to pay?

Any updates? Did you finish?
I don't mess with Google Certs. Back in 2018 it was the rage for the Gsuite cert. Then a year later they discontinued it.
Understandable, I believe they discontinued those because they started implementing certifications throughout Coursera.
Microsoft, IBM, and other companies also have certifications on this site, it's worth a look, but nothing is comparable to CompTIA tbh.
Is the Google Support Certificate worth while if I already have A+?
Honestly it never hurts to have more certs?
If you fancy yourself a learner and want to just have more stuff to add onto your resume, why not.
Is there a job portal or anything after you finish your certificate ?
Not exactly.
They do provide jobs that are "listing" the cert on their qualifications, which is driven from LinkedIn.

Can i get a job after this cert, and can the job be made remotely ?
It just depends on where you live and who hires you, honestly.
Unfortunately I'm not sure who will hire you.
@@Smiffix so its not about skills and performance ?
I mean, it honestly just depends on your location and how you fit the job openings' requirements.

This certification is ok, but it will not get you a quick job.
How can you get it for free??
financial aid, or follow the "start for free" option
