@@-BUFFALOMan it’s great! It fits in my work bag compact, gets hot quick, and the sleep function is next to none for my applications. I do home automation and soldering connections in equipment rack room is perfect with this. Only thing I will say it could use a longer power cord would be nice sometimes, I just haven’t gotten around to getting one. I did recently get the TS80p for my on the go soldering but still prefer this kit. Hope my rant helps you make a choice! Cheers
I have this device, i like it a lot! Your homemade tip is very nice! But the thinner one that came with it is made to be able to reach individual legs on a chip... Not for everyone, but other tips are cheap and easy to find. I also mostly used one like the one you made. Your flux is a bit too thick for this precision work, but liquid flux is also very expensive... So, I have diluted some of that paste-type flux with alcohol, and that works ok, but I get a much clearer, thinner liquid if I dilute pure, solid rosin into alcohol... it takes a day, or two to melt completely, just keep adding more alcohol until the rosin is gone. Then, if needed, you can let the alcohol evaporate to the point of viscosity you like. I put it in an empty bottle of Visine for easy dispensing. Thanks for the cool video, Cheers from Canada! ;-)
Yes I also like this soldering station a lot. I have an other old soldering station made by Ersa that also is very good. Thanks for the great tip about the flux! Have a nice one.
great review thanks a lot,do you have any suggest to a bag for mobile use,'cause i have many jobs out of the office, and another question is where find different tips for air gun
Nice affordable tool for hobbyist. But I still prefer good old el cheapo 858D rework station. Having knob for fan speed and separate up and down button for temperature makes setting much easier.
I have been looking for a good 2 in 1 station for the last week. This sold me on this kit! Great review! I just ordered my kit tonight!
Thanks. You did the right thing ordering this soldering station. I like it a lot. You will not be disappointed.

G’day Tom. Good to see you back. Not for me I avoid electronics wherever possible. Hope it works out for you.
Cheers

Thanks mate. I like to work with electronics now and then so this soldering station will come in handy on these occasions.

Thanks glad you liked it. Sorry but I have no suggestions about the bag or the air gun.
You are alive! Good review. Enjoyed it. Thanks.
Thank you. Yes I'm still alive and well. Glad you liked the video.
Great demo and review. I just got one and this is way better than the manual. Thanks
Thanks. Yes this soldering station is really great. I'm very satisfied with mine.
Great Video......I just bought one, but it does not tell me if its "F" or "C" degrees. Do you know what degrees its in? Thanks
Sweet. Well mine is in "C" or Celsius. Thanks for your comment and watching, much appreciated.
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I'm going to assume that mine must be in Celsius also. I will check it with a temp gun.
Welcome back Tom.
Thanks a lot Dale!

Well I think that this soldering station is pretty nice and the one that you propose is really good to. Thanks for watching.
Have you encountered any quality problem in 2 years of use ?
No, no problems at all actually. Everything works to my satisfaction.
Can you use both together? Solder iron with the hot air?
@@kharali3475 Turning both iron and hot air on ? Never tried. Wouldn't recommend.
@@kharali3475 I have never tried it and I can't see why you would use both at the same time.
@@tompas11A3n52KkX sometimes the solder won’t stick to them big ground pads and I use hot air to help it
hi bro if i want to put off the hot air, must wait for sleeping mod then off, ?? or i can put off directly? waiting your reply .thanks
Yes you can put off the hot air directly if you want.
Coil available?
What coil do you mean?
What is the lifespan of the machine
Well, mine is still working and i have used it a lot. I'm very pleased with this soldering station.
you will damage that ic if that hot, better use desoldering wick it will not damage components.
That's correctly but I just wanted to test the hot air gun. I wasn't going to use the IC.
If you want to sale then I want to buy second hand
Sorry not for sale. This soldering station is really good and I like it a lot.
