Home shop machining such as milling, lathe work, threading, etc. and use of different tools and technics.
Once in a while I cast aluminium and brass to make lathe/mill blanks which can be transformed to something useful.
I really do like to transform some scrap metal to useful tools in the lathe and the milling machine and I am open to suggestions, comments and questions. Now and then I take a ride on my 2018 Royal Enfield Classic 500.

WHAT IS IT?
One of my surveillance cameras caught something strange some time ago. The camera is equipped with infrared light so it can see in the dark. I went outside with my video camera to see what it was but couldn't see anything at all. I thought it might have been disturbed by my presence so I went back inside. When I got in I looked at the screen and it was still there!

Royal Enfiled Classic 500 Raw Sound. I found a different way to record the exhaust sound. Original sound from Go Pro muted. To get the most out of the sound from the exhaust when watching the video, you must have real speakers or headphones. Mobile and tablets are not the right thing to go. There's always a better method. Search for it. Find it. Use it.

why did mine make a bang and now doesnt work ?
Probably some electronic components that have broken.
Sir. Could this heat 25mm pipe with .120mm wall thickness?
No I think that is too much for this induction heater.
@tompas11A3n52KkX ok thank you for the fast reply. I appreciate it. I'm trying to find a cost effective way to bend steel tube. The 3kw project is very interesting.
Very cool project and wish they were for sale :)
Thank you.
Unless it's a test on a nut that you already know you can't remove it's useless test.... More like just a demonstration of how to ..
Did you get that seat from Hitchcock's? If not? Where did you get it from?
Yes I did, but now the saddle is equipped with stronger springs for better comfort.
Great bike, beautiful sound, picturesque coutryside. Bought 2011 bullet 500 electra this summer. It’s a keeper. I would like to mount a sidecar on her and forget about car during summer months. Tack!
Tack ska du ha! Which you safe ride with your Bullet 500 Electra!
You should rename your channel to tomfauxpas11 😂
Ha, will not happen.😎
Yep, others have posted, spider web. I had a similar experience as you did with my setup.
OK thanks for tour answer.
Yup. Spider web that is REALLY close to the lens. I see this all the time on mine.
I thought it was some kind of animal because it flew around before coming to a standstill. Anyway thanks for your answer.
You are trolling right? Well im falling for it, its spider web.
No trolling but thanks för you answer.
Lazer lights 😂
Yeah sure...
Hello, I've got one and it read IGBT as a doide, and other thyristor as resistor, it can be faulty readings?
Yes it reads as a diode because there is a diod between C and E. I tested it on a IGBT IKW30N65WR5.
Ok
@@gaberboraey5477 You can't expect that a cheap tester like this will do it all. There are other ways to test an IGBT transistor. Search the internet.

Good looking repair! I have just aquired a similar Blomquists Aktiebolag BS 600 / South Bend 9 with several broken teeth in the back gear, and I am considering doing a repair like yours. How have this held up through the years since you made it?
Thank you! Sorry for my late answer. This gear is still holding up after all this years and is going strong. I whish you good luck with your gear repair.
@@tompas11A3n52KkX Thank you for your reply, good news. I will have a go at doing it myself then👍
i hope you arnt breathing in galvanized steam brotha
No that's bad to your health.
How to know if the transistor is bad in that tester ?
If a transistor or other component is bad the display says: No, unknown, or damaged part.
Hello there tompas11, and thanks for the great vids. Can you do one to show the inner wiring to your alternator charging indicator? I have this very issue and have been stranded because the battery was not charging several times. I know you said one diode, one center diode, one resistor and red led and that it's hiding behind the headlamp.
Any luck with seeing a diagram for putting it together. .p.s. I think he said zener diode, don’t know what that is but I do recall triumphs used to have them mounted on the bottom yoke in a heat sink.
I’m sorry for a very late answer. The positive feed goes from the small 4/5W bulb in the headlight housing to a diode (1N4001) on to a zener diode (10V 400mW) and on to a resistor (47 ohm) and then to an LED. I have replaced the red 5mm LED with a high intensity green 3mm which shines brighter. I hope that answer your question. Once again sorry for late answer.
Nice job. Simple and practical.
Thank you!
Nice project. I don't know if it was just an optical illusion, but there was a lot of run-out on your slitting saw / arbor.
Thank you! Yes you are right there was/is a lot of run out om the slitting saw but in this case it doesn't matter much.
Welcome back! That's a nice tool. Did you post a video ages ago with the old machinist trick of using cloth scrap to prevent drill bits from tearing thin metal? Perhaps I have that wrong. Anyways, we just finished a nice ride on the Kattegattleden, what a beautiful country. Thanks' for posting!
Thank you! No that wasn't me using cloth scrap but I am familiar with the method. Yes it sure is a beautiful country.
Really Nice little project that you have made and great to see you back again, keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing your next projects 👍
Thank you!
How parallel did they turn out? do they need to have a date with a surface grinder?Cheers
I did put them together and milled them parallel.
Nice work. Welcome back,
Thank you!
very nice! thanks for sharing. Glad you are back.. Nice that you used the useful swivel vise jaw
Thank you! Yes the swivel vise jaw was handy to have.
nice job
Thank you!
Hallå där. Kul att se dig igen, hoppas det kommer fler spännande projekt.
Tack Per-Erik. Vi får se vad det blir framöver.
Welcome back my friend. Good to see you again.
Thank you Dale, good to be back!
sometimes you just have to make what you have work, nice job on the fitting.
Thank you sir.
I think the feed is too slow, the way the burr is pushing ahead.
the machine is super stiff,, otherwise you would destroy the end mill very quickly. end mills have to cut with the side, that's what they are best at.. is it an ABENE milling machine ?
Nope it's an Aciera F3 made back in the glory days 1959.
okay,, nice machine .. looks like a Deckel machines ,, same construction .. i have a Maho 400T cnc / tnc355 heidenhain .. it can mill hoisontal and vertical and with a rotating spindle it can be used as a cnc lathe ,, cool
@@gertkristensen6451Thanks. With my machine i can also mill both horisontal and vertical. The machine is very universal.
Отлично, только защищайте станок от образивной пыли.
Спасибо и да, подумаю о защите машинки от пыли.
I want this model induction
So why don't you buy one...
Does it work for copper tubings?
No only magnetic metal such as iron.
what is cnc industrial name of this tool ?
Face mill.
@@tompas11A3n52KkX nothing else as specified category ?
@@Morgan_369 Not that I know.
What does a multi function tester show when parts are bad
Unknown or damaged part.
Can we measure the SMD Component mounted on any PCB by this Multimeter?
I haven't tried that yet.
What would be the maximum size of nut this tool could reliably heat up? I have an M18 nut thats seized up pretty good, but im worried this might not have enough power.
Well M18 spanner width is 27mm. Depending on how much rust there is, you may have to heat several times.
Alas, my 2018 Classic 500 (US market) has no thermistor, no temp probe in the air box. Bike runs pretty good and it looks like a temperature bypass won't work. I'll just ride and enjoy it as is.
Perhaps emissions regulations are stricter in Europe than in the US?
Definitely like the video. Just ordered me one. May have to make me a few specialty coils. Out of some wire I have a few spools of bare copper I’ll have to take a few feet from an make some for odds and ends ends the out the box coils aren’t able to do
Thanks.
With a name like Banggood it's got to be good🤣
Mmm sometimes and sometimes not so good.
لما هذه السرعة العالية في تفتيح الترس؟؟؟؟

Thank you very much. Really appreciated your subscription. 🙂
WHERE'S THE LIQUID WRENCH?
No need for the liquid wrench when you got the induction heater as your best friend.
Hello Tompas11 where did you buy that tools? I want one.
From Banggood but now it's broken. I will try to repair this induction heater.
@@tompas11A3n52KkX thats not a good quality though and its so expensive. In wish it cost about 2700sek.
Just dip the coil in plaster . no need to buy new.
Good idea!
Brilliant
Oh... Im gonna give this a try. Thank you!
Excellent job thank you Tompas11
Thank you very much!
Mine died in three or four heating cycles. Not good.
No that's not good. Mine is still working. If you know something about electronics maybe you can fix it.
I guess this was 6 years ago but i saw basically the same thing for like $12 on ali express i came to youtube if anyone was using them these are for toy cars so kinda cosmetic but it looks like aluminum so i bet its strong enough its only got a knurled handle not like it has a 3/8 drive on it
This is not for lifting things. This jack are only for supporting material being machined on the milling machine and for that it works great.
Coil available?
What coil do you mean?
Just happened across your video, very nice! Do you happen to have any sizes or drawing? Thx
Thank you. Unfortunately I have no drawings.
