J Dilla is on of the greatest producers of all time. I'm not labeling his music as Lofi Hip Hop. His music is much more than that. This video is about the influence he has had on Lofi Hip Hop.

True, especially since Dilla himself did not label his work "lofi hip hop", that is a term invented by people from other cultures. It is simply "Hip Hop."

I know this a month old, but I’m literally arguing with Nujabes stans in a TikTok thread that Dilla’s influence on lofi is bigger than Nujabes as we speak, and they’re all getting snarky with me 😂

He inspired Questlove and other musicians like Robert Glasper. Everyone that he's worked with speaks highly of him. Even producers that influenced Dilla, like Pete Rock, said himself that Dilla surpassed him

These flowers are all too often mistakenly given to Nujabees. No disrespect, but Nujabees simply could not be the father of "lo fi hip hop" as he was birthed by producers like Dilla.

Dilla and Nujabes were born on the same day on opposite sides of the world, and both of them are no longer with us. They are often compared to one another. There are similarities between them, but they each have their own sound. I would say both of them were influential

Dilla was a creator.these others are knock offs...only reason why others even get recognized is because the world is anti black...dilla is on a level all by his lonesome...and these nujabes..are just wannabes... just everyone else Is...us as black will never get our just do...there is no comparison we create everything and and it's get stolen....but what else is new...lol
