I recall years ago when there was a big build-up of Harry Connick being the new Frank Sinatra, he performed in front of Mr. Sinatra and for an awkward moment, Mr. Connick seemed to falter. It was just a little; there was a lot of pressure on him. But he continues to be a formidable singer. I really like him and his style which is similar but the two are so very different in other ways. Great video and sound! : )
I remember the same hype...he never asked or it. Who is extremely talented in his own right and even in a young age carried his own band in New Orleans Also an excellent actor It's simply ridiculous to compare any artist to Sinatra, Dino, Sammy, Tony And the rest of the great stars of that time
If Richard Rodgers and Larry Hart had been in the audience they would have been pleased. Harry really was Pal Joey, albeit it in a very different musical era. Beautiful band and arrangement !
Ha! Good point. Well, I searched on youtube, and frankly, the Sinatra versions on here do suck. lol. I had one, which I now can't find, that is much better. More like you say, with talking type phrasing. Stay well.

I sang this to my wife when I proposed 12 years ago. We are still together after all of these years and I could not be happier.
I love this version and this man!
Of all singers of this song (and good ones may I add) this is my preferred. Mr. Connick does it the way a lady likes to hear! Thanks for sharing.
I'm a brazilian fan
great song, and he has a voice made for swing
He is PERFECT!!! Singing, acting, huge heart. I've never wanted to be married, but what more could you want?❣❤️💚💙💜🍀🎈🌹
The best male and female renditions respectively of this are by Frank and Ella.
Connick Jr. is a nice guy.
And the Artie Shaw one is the best instrumental version.
That voice. That voice.

Do you know if there's a video available of Connick Jr faltering in front of Frank?
Biel2619 No. That was about or over 30 years ago. The ups. He did.

Connick has a naturally cool and laid-back style and his acting talent is great too. I liked him from the start
Nobody have ever come closer to Sinatra's rendition of this song than Harry Connick, Jr.
Amazing
WOW WOW WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From a72yo Aussie fan.
Sweet Song
The genuine article.
solid gold

nice version
I want to learn that trombone solo.
Ella’s version is tops...and she includes the intro... Rogers and Hart classic!
M...more to come soon from the movie this song came from...sweet dreams...G

HIMSELF
no offense, I 'm a fan of Sinatra, but Frank's rendition of this song is crap compared to Harry...
i'm not a fan of Sinatra - all his recordings are lounge lizardy and his recording of this song is extra laughable
I'm a hater of Sinatra but have to admit franks version is amazing. However I like this one the most.
Amen! i agree! Harry livens up this song
the choir on the Sinatra version makes the song almost a parody of itself (Frank himself is fine) but Harry's version really swings

Better than sinatra
Ganteng amat harry
i really dislike shoolder pads
its just that this song is meant to spoken. and Sinatra sounds like he's singing it because he's paid to sing it... :/
None Taken.

This is just awful, really. Listen to Sinatra. Connick is absurdly overrated.
