The PGA should cut off all talks of any merger and let the bone saw tour die on the vine, which it will do if allowed. Even the saudis will eventually decide to stop throwing good blood money after bad.
I LOVE LIV! It’s a blast to watch. Top players playing fabulous courses is a recipe for success. Initially I wasn’t that interested in the team aspect but I now find that incredibly entertaining. The team leaderboard can have big changes over the course of one hole.

Fabulous courses? Yes a few LIV courses are, but many are ho-hum. I attended a LIV event in Tucson. It was very professionally run. I think LIV is fine for in-person spectators, although the throbbing music throughout the course is not my cup of tea. As for the LIV TV product, it really doesn’t push my buttons. It’s messy and crass. But to each their own.

"Sportswashing" does not work. It does not silence any of the real critics, just those 'lookie-loos' that occasionally pick up on things the critics say so they can sound like they are informed. "Sportswashing" didn't stop Hitler's critics after the '36 Olympics in Berlin; didn't stop opponents of Marcos (Thrilla in Manila) or Seko (Rumble in the Jungle); it didn't stop the boycott of South Africa (Sun City). All "sportwashing" (a term invented by sportswriters to appear ethical) does is separate dictators from their money, and possibly prevent idiots like Dustin Johnson or Talor Gooch from talking about politics and human rights.
Also, the PGAT-LIV merger will never happen, because the PGA Tour doesn't want it to. They only did the 'memo' to drop the anti-trust lawsuit against them, which they knew they were not going to win. They played the Saudis, who as usual have more money than brains.

What happens when The LIV Contracts run out??? Oops, what happens when the Old Men playing LIV play out there contract and Retire??? Oops, LIV has some thinking to do....The PGA Tour will go on, and after watching The Open at Troon, I'm almost sure that WE DON"T NEED THE LIV !!!!!!!!

LIV is a fake tour, but it's funded like there's no tomorrow...it's not going anywhere. The players, all pros, have benefitted from this incredibly. Cam Smith might win another Major one day, maybe not. Rham getting $600M is just insane, and he's now playing like he's trying to be a Top 25 player again. That's what $600M got LIV. DJ is a Monday Qlfier ...and Bryson just won his second Major, not his 15th. LIV can buy anybody, but these are all humans, not TIgers or Jacks. This is going to continue forever, as new players come and go....it's going to be interesting to see what happens over the next decade.
The Saudis are not stupid. Even they will eventually, at some point, decide to stop throwing good blood money after bad.

Business must be about more than just money!!! Sport must be about more than just money!!! When will the professional golf community, media included, focus on the human side of golf business decisions?????!!!!!
LIV is a disgrace and more people need to grow the balls to say that out loud on the largest professional stages!!!!!
