      @@OutbackEquipmentwow that’s a great price I bought the original yellow propane bottle heater can’t remember the name but it was the worst $500.00 dollars I’ve ever spent on any camping product. The battery to run the fan kept going flat after 40 minutes from full charge which rendered it useless because it couldn’t be charged while using it. I should have known never to buy the first prototype of anything but a lessen well learnt. I still have it somewhere in the shed it’s only probably good for a boat anchor now, I haven’t thrown it out because it bothers me that I payed so much for it and after testing it , it never left the house for a camping trip 😂
      I’m really impressed you are using lithium in your product and that the run time is up to 9 hours can it be charged while using? Cheers 🍻

      @@matt08sydney This Aeroheat isn't any better, it doesn't heat, they say it does but after testing in controlled shed space it didn't get more that 5 degrees above ambient temp. Very poor response from the supplier Advernture Operations, they say it should and I say it doesn't. It probably would make a better boat anchor.

      I heat my minivan with a Zodi Hot Vent Tent heater. If you search for Zodi Hot Vent tent heater on youtube, you might find some ideas.

    Two questions. 1) This is running just outside of a tent. What is the carbon monoxide output? 2) Is there a way to use a thermostat with this? Thanks!

    • @OutbackEquipment
      @OutbackEquipment  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Firstly the Carbon Monoxide output is not measured however it does have a safety sensor that will shut unit down if it ever reaches/senses a dangerous level, however this would only ever really occur if heater was used inside a tent or room or car for example. Secondly the unit cannot be modified to add a thermostat without voiding warranty so we can't recommend doing it.

      @badatpseudoscience 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OutbackEquipment Even though its outside the tent, I'm still concerned about the carbon monoxide. For instance generators are kept at a good distance from the tent for this same reason.

      Hello Ronald, yes the heater should be both charging and useable when you plug it in.

    It looks good but after buying one I can confirm its incredibly bad. I can have my arm right down the ducting and leave it there as it's only luke warm air, won't warm a small area at all. Tried in Victoria highlands. Don't buy one!

    • @taztheambo
      @taztheambo ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I can confirm your findings, I measured 32 degrees at the surface of the outlet, per Adventure Operations the 'Hottest Spot' that could reach a maximum of 60 degrees! Only if you set the whole thing on fire I reckon.

    Can it run all night with external battery pack?

    • @OutbackEquipment
      @OutbackEquipment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Crypto Yummy, as it has a 12v dc cigarette socket it will run from a 12v source, but in our experience you shouldn't need to run it all night to feel comfortable!

    Hi , can you get a adapter plate for connecting to a caravan?

    • @OutbackEquipment
      @OutbackEquipment  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Keith, Unfortunately as this heater has a gas regulator built into it, this item cannot be used with the regulated bayonet gas source found on Caravans. You can either use the 468g gas cylinder or a gas hose which will connect directly to a gas cylinder.

      Yes, what’s the point of only 4.5 hours? E.g. turn it on when it gets cold at 6pm and it’s finished & empty of charge by the time you go to sleep at 10.30pm.
