True. Im in my 30s and my back started to hurt alr after so much riding and touring lol. M1000XR is my dream bike but i can only afford a Tracer... similar bikes
I have the 24 SXR.. absolutely love it, but I got it tuned and put some black widow headers on and it’s a total beast.. power wise I know it doesn’t compare to the M, but it is pretty damn good
I’ve just replaced my 22 SXR with a 24 model but handling seems a bit vague on the Bridgestones where the Metzelers were great on my old bike. Maybe I need to experiment with tyre pressure ? Be interested in your opinion on the tyres ?
@@spikodemiko5514mate I’ve owned 4 x XR’s & now on the MXR. I’ve tried just about every tyre you can on the XR. The best tyre atm for the XR is the new Michelin Power 6. It will transform your bike
Next BMW 1L update will be an inline-4 which will have a 3mm long stroke and rev to 25,0000 RPM and make 290 horsepower. It will have 4 cam profiles and switch between any of them via cloud computer processing. It will only cost $69,799.
I have the SXR, and am glad to see them finally put the full engine in the bike... BUT, think the SXR should have the valve tech and HP as an option on the touring bike with regular wheels and ability to carry luggage. Would step up for that, but don't want a track bike...
This bike, M1000xr is not a sports tourer if you dont have luggage capacity, or comfort for a passenger. BMW is trying to steal Ducati’s Pikes Peak touring dominance. However, The M1000xr is a good challenger for the Street fighter.
I don’t understand this genre of bike. You don’t need and never going to use 201hp on the street. If you want a track bike then buy a track bike. A regular XR will do just fine. You are paying a premium for 100hp you never use as a regular rider. If I want bragging rights I would rather buy a better looking super sport
I am sick of people who constantly talk about that it is too much power for the street, go buy chinese electric scooter, that is also enough for a street
@@markodarabosh9045 If you want that it is fine, I understand. I am just commenting on reviewers comparing to regular bike, base XR for example is enough power for most people. They don't need the M version.
I am intrigued by the bars attached to the rear footpeg brackets. Are these for luggage ? I asked at my local BMW dealer and they were not familiar with them. As the M loses the lugage capability of the S, this could be the solution. Can you post any info you have on them please. Love the vid's by the way...always wait to see your review before I buy a new bike.....think I will buy one of these for sure !
I am also interested. It looks like a similar design by sw motech known as "blaze saddlebag support arms", not sure if it's the same or not, but would love to have more info if available!!
do you agree that this is not an M performance, especially on gears 1 to 5th gear is so weak the mapped and reduced 60+ HP that this bike without turning is useless
Well I was in the market for a new bike, possibly a BMW but having owned a BMW car for the last 3 months and experienced their poor quality control and then BMW UK's abysmal customer service, I certainly won't be buying any other BMW vehicle again!
I'm surprised no bike manufacturer has come up with some kind of coating for the exhaust pipes that hides the rust, I think it spoils the looks of so many bikes...looks hideous on this one and I'm guessing it's virtually brand new.
@@cowmath77 Well, I say you're wrong to think like that. The psychological limit to me is 20k... this thing is over 30k EUR. I wonder how many they sold to date.
Getting? GETTING?!!! If it weren't for loan agencies, not more than 1 out of 1000 of these motorcycles would sell. People are happy to slam down the plastic and buy something they cannot afford because "it's just another payment." Surf that trillion dollar debt wave, surf the pipe.
If you want the benefits of carbon rims why on earth would you buy a “sport touring crossover.” 😂 No, you’d buy a sport bike. Just another wanking status symbol
All the english blokes complaining as usual.. it’s not for most people for a variety of reasons, bmw know this bike will be a very limited market but they will make it anyway, if you dont want it don’t buy it and shut your trap
If you think it’s useless, just don’t use it mate. For me it’s a comfort and safety feature. Nowadays bikes have so much power on tap that the “full power” one tends to have a jittery throttle that becomes super annoying to use in traffic or borderline dangerous in rain. Using a throttle map that adapts that curve to give you confort and safety it’s a cool thing to have. And when you want some fun, click click click, all of it back up to 11 Brands would eventually give you an “in between crowd pleaser” instead of the options. Like this, they give you many, you get to choose what you want to use.
It's good to see you are reviewing beginner bikes at last, all be it a bit under powered even for a learner.
Perfect for when you want to ride a superbike but you are old and your back hurts.
(I am old and my back hurts, so I think this looks like the dream.)

For the prices of these machines, BMW should fly representatives to your home from Germany and pay you to install stuff to "unlock" the power.

This is proper Monster by BMW but still don't see M badge on tourer it's like M badge on SUV 😊😂😂

You can buy the low sports seat
