I love this series a lot but I thought I would come back to point out to Obama that In fire red Charmander actually learns metal claw at level 13, he very easily could have used Charmander for the Brock fight if he had just leveled up Charmander one more time
What's funny is that while in Gen 1 Charizard can't learn fly, from gen 2 onward, including this remake it can learn fly via an HM which no longer exists not the move, the HMs in general.
@@QuinnInk20 Venusaur is better, what can I say? Char line is overrated garbage if you really think about it. It is such trash they had to give it a Digi-evo to try and make it useable, lol. They ruined Beedrill and scizor with the digi-evo forms... Meh
Charizard is overly promoted, but he is pretty underdog in Kanto, it needs a lot of time till he can cook and even then his cooking isnt comparable to Venusaur. It needs actual skill to navigate through Kanto only with Charizard, he needs a lot of backing up, this fact with his physical appearance made him popular in the first place. He feels like a proper main character with a literal glow up to the finale. But yeah, Gamefreak has like Joe way too much into Charizard.

No item runs from what I have seen tends to mean no items in battle, health items are fine outside of battle.
Its a nice challenge, mix it with a nondeath run and you have the ultimate casual but challenging Pokemon experience.
