Of course, that's my personal opinion but, they are pricey and get you to sign up for 3 years and get add-ons you don't need. Waiting for my site to be re-instated in order to make the switch. By the way, they are keeping 2 years worth of my money when I've only been with them 4 months. (Read small print always). Anyway, patience, persistence and determination. Hope this helped even a little bit! :)

That's a great question and I believe you can configure some of the Yoast settings, however there may be some edits you'll need to make to your permalinks and slugs when you go live with the domain. However, I think you should be good to at least update your SEO titles, meta descriptions, and plugin configuration. If for some reason it doesn't transfer over when you go live, it's an easy fix and the set up isn't too tedious.
Great video Ben, thank you. It's really helping. At the 11 mins mark I'm not sure why i do not have the option to edit the Homepage & Post page. All i have under that title is 'You can determine the title and description for the homepage by editing the homepage itself'. Unlike your video that has SEO title and underneath that Meta description and Social settings. Because I only have a Facebook URL linked in my Social profiles at mo, Is that why?

Hi! Thanks for watching! Great question. You can still update the "fallback" social settings for individual pages and posts within the plugin's settings. Just go to each individual piece of content and access the Yoast settings, then click on the "Social" tab and his will let you updated the social image, title, and description for Facebook and Twitter. However, you are correct, you'll need a premium account in order to access the social "Site Appearance" within the Content Type settings. It really comes down to your budget and what you think is best for you and your blog. Great question and thanks again for watching! :)

The Yoast plugin out of the box doesn't, but you can purchase the Woo Commerece version and can use it on product listings. yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/yoast-woocommerce-seo/ I don't have much experience with this version of the plugin, just FYI. Also, make sure your content is structured in a way that is search engine friendly. Meaning, use headings, link to relevant content, write well, etc. Also, you'll want to make sure you're creating content that is relevant to your readers. That is one way to become more relevant to the search engines. Google is smart and they'll find relevant content for specific audiences. So, just try to create high-quality content that helps your audience while doing the little SEO tips and tricks. Over time you should see some improvement in your search engine rankings.
Hi, i use jetpack too and did site mapping and verifications over jetpack, jetpeck says u use yoast seo and seo is auto disable at jetpack. Should i delete jetpack site settings and add them to yoast. There is also import at yoast. Can you explaimine deteiled please.
You guys are doing pretty good job but i am struggling a bit my content gets indexed but doesnt appear in Serps and if it appears it shows wrong titles. Like shows homepage title instead of post title for ranking on specific keyword. Using Free theme MH. I hope you will help me out with this!

However, if you're using something like Shopify or another platform for your online store, then Yoast won't work. Yoast is a plugin strictly for WordPress. Does that answer your question?

Hi Janan! I'm sorry you're having that issue. It sounds like there may be an other plugin causing a conflict with the Yoast SEO plugin. I'd try disabling all your plugins except yoast to see if that's causing the issue. Then reactivate them one by one to determine which one is causing the conflict. I'd start there. I get a red circle whenever I write multiple blog posts with the same key phrase. I do have to write multiple blogs with the same key phrase because as a photographer I shoot in reoccurring locations or genres of photography that I want to rank for. How bad is it to use the same key phrase in multiple blog posts?

That's what we like to call SEO Keyword Cannibalization. ;) But all jokes aside, using the same keyword on multiple pages or sites can negatively affect your SEO, as you’ll have two different aspects competing for the same ranking. It's probably ok to do it for a few pages and posts, but you'll still be trying to rank again each other. Just something to think about. :)

Hi Janan! I'm sorry you're having that issue. It sounds like there may be an other plugin causing a conflict with the Yoast SEO plugin. I'd try disabling all your plugins except yoast to see if that's causing the issue. Then reactivate them one by one to determine which one is causing the conflict. I'd start there. I get a red circle whenever I write multiple blog posts with the same key phrase. I do have to write multiple blogs with the same key phrase because as a photographer I shoot in reoccurring locations or genres of photography that I want to rank for. How bad is it to use the same key phrase in multiple blog posts?

That's what we like to call SEO Keyword Cannibalization. ;) But all jokes aside, using the same keyword on multiple pages or sites can negatively affect your SEO, as you’ll have two different aspects competing for the same ranking. It's probably ok to do it for a few pages and posts, but you'll still be trying to rank again each other. Just something to think about. :)

How to change image in Google Preview Snipet?

Hi, Ramon! Thanks for watching! Sorry you're having that issue. Sometimes resetting the permalink structure will quickly solve a 404 error from a recent change to your installation. Go to Admin > Settings > Permalinks and click save without altering anything. Try that and let me know what happens. Thanks!

However, you can always request Google to crawl your site so that you will start showing up on the search results. Sorry to say, the first time configuration workout link, or step one, is no longer available. The workouts are a premium product now. There are a list of things to do, but no wizard or workout to help. Very disappointing.
