Well the breadcrumbs can be placed anywhere on your website where you want them to appear. It can be using a shortcode, that's very easy to do, just copy and paste the code somewhere on your page where you want it to be. Preferably on a theme / layout page.

@@WPressDoctor in the yoast settings, there's a section of advanced crawl settings that let's you enable disable comments, feeds, links, and much more... I don't know what is important for us to keep it enable and what should remain disable.. Anyway, the tutorial was great

Go to 'Elementor' than go to 'Custom Code' press 'Add new custom code' and name it "Facebook Pixel". Chose the location "Head", paste in your code and press 'Publish' on the right side. Done! Hey, Thank you for brilliant content. My trouble is that the content comes from a PR agency and when I publish it, the seo and readability scores are red. I am able to make the seo score green, although, some of it still cannot be changed but there is no way I can make the readability score better as I would have to rewrite a lot. And I don’t know if this content is created purely for SEO or for another reason? Sounds like you need to talk to the PR firm 😁
Hi Alek! THanks for the question. Well if you have generated sitemap.xml it might be overwritten yes. I would personally only use the sitemap of your SEO plugin, because its just better up to date. Or you can rename your hand-made sitemap to something else 😊

need help.... we did domain name change..... yoast plugin not able to update new domain name in google search. hence currently 2 domain name are reflecting in google search because of google new schema name update..... what can be done?
Hi there! Well just redirect the old domain with 302 to new domain per URL. So Googlebot sees that the old website has a new domain. Then wait 2 weeks for all old URLS are removed from the SERP. Should work fine 👍🏻😀

I have a question...yoast has changed the name of my site in its settings and refuses to allow me to correct it. It's put numbers in the original site name. I can add the "real name" on it's add a name line under it but when I go to my pages they all say "joeys32%" then the rest of the website name. Should I just delete the plugin completely?
Hi Sarah! That’s a really odd situation, I have never encountered this before. Before uninstalling try to change the website title within WordPress itself under “settings” -> “general” if that does not work go to step 2: You could indeed try to delete the plugin entirely and clean its entries in the database: quadlayers.com/remove-yoast-seo-from-database/ than reinstall the plugin and start over. It should work then.

You're an awesome teacher. I uninstalled it a second time and it once again gave the wrong name, so I once again deleted and reinstalled it. Then I noticed that it had pre installed information so I chose a tab that said first time installation and then I was able to change the name they chose. Thanks again! Hopefully if someone else comes up with the same issue you can explain it to them...much better than I can! Keep up the great work!
Hi, help please, I use Jetpack too, I did my site connections and site mapping over jetpack, after 2 years saw a video about jetpack saying if you use yeast don't activate mapping and connections by jetpack (wich I realize that jetpack search engine activation button is off and says you are using yoast) . Plus I just learned that to do yoast settings - they were staying as it it I add yoast . SO WHAT SHOULD İ DO : 1) cancel jetpack site mapping and site connections and add them over yoast - jetpack has extra Facebook and yoast has Baidu. 2) continue as it is now 3) choose jetpack from importing other seos at yoast - if I do this should I do what I said at " 1 " . 4) lastly if i must do " 1 " , at google should I delete my settings and new for yoast settings. because can't see html on current google settings to add toast . Hi Jay! Yes you can, but the sitemap will be send to Google if you generate it with Yoast. I always do all the SEO setup after going live with the website.
Hi David Grey! Thanks for your good question. It totally depends. If I have a website that needs to live from SEO, than yes I optimise every single page. Not so much the contact page of course, but everything else should have a good score. If the website does not need SEO that bad, I don't optimize every page, only the most important ones. Hey I have a question - Yoast SEO is acting up and it's not letting me click on the button that allows me to change any of my settings for that plugin. I just get an error 404 page or whatever it's called (the "you bad man" thing.) I have also tried disabling Yoast SEO plugin only and when I click view All Pages on my editor menu, I also get the error 404. I literally have not done anything to the website in several days and it's suddenly acting like this.... maybe Yoast SEO pushed an automatic update that's preventing me from using it? That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I have tried other troubleshooting steps suggested by various websites when I googled the problem like renaming my indexes on my host and none of that helped. I disabled all the plugins, and I still get the error.

Hi Tomas! Thanks for your question. Well it can take some time for the changes to be picked up. Also when your titles and descriptions are (according to Google) not relevant to the content, Google will still use the old original content. It can take up to a week or 2 to get all changes live 👍🏻😀

If you saves your changes on your website, then Google will update its SERP regularly but not actually instant. So it could take a few days / weeks (depending on search traffic) how fast your Title and Description will be changed inside of the search results page of google 😀 Hang in there!

@@WPressDoctor both BE and FE. I'd love to give it a whirl and find out which toggle, did what, but even a back reverse process and back up restoration has not resolved it. So, I guess the only option is to re-do the entire translated pages - ie. delete, and reintrothem. So what exactly happened. I have polylang, elementor and a premium yoasr running on a kadence template. Prior to crawler optimisation, i had two menus. Primary in ENG and secondary in another lingo, with a flag to switch from one to another. After the toggle switch the secondary langauge menu dissapeared., though all polylang settings remained the same. restoration to a previous backup copy, has left me with a menu where once I switch to 2ndary langauge but there is no 2ndary menu. Instead i have the english primary menu, and if i want to view the contact from in 2ndary language I need to first select it in primary english, and then clock to 2ndary language. so the php is properly fucked. If I have to place a bet I would say it was something from the "Disable unwanted content formats". Anyways thats a couple of days of work in the shitter, as i need to revwrite the entire tag and keyword section. Will keep a txt copy of everything from now on.

While I appreciate your effort, this guide doesn't explain much besides "listing" all the options of the Yoast SEO plugin, which makes it pretty dull and generic. There are no examples or explanations of how and where each option will reflect someone's website, which should be the point of a guide like this one. No matter what anyone thinks, website building, and especially SEO, is a "science" and a highly complex process, and it takes a long, long time for someone to master it. Instead of giving a "sense of false hope" and trying to depict this as something easy to do, you could at least mention that there is much more to learn about SEO before using a plugin like Yoast.

Well the breadcrumbs can be placed anywhere on your website where you want them to appear. It can be using a shortcode, that's very easy to do, just copy and paste the code somewhere on your page where you want it to be. Preferably on a theme / layout page.

Go to 'Elementor' than go to 'Custom Code' press 'Add new custom code' and name it "Facebook Pixel". Chose the location "Head", paste in your code and press 'Publish' on the right side. Done! Thank you for brilliant content. My trouble is that the content comes from a PR agency and when I publish it, the seo and readability scores are red. I am able to make the seo score green, although, some of it still cannot be changed but there is no way I can make the readability score better as I would have to rewrite a lot. Hi Alek! THanks for the question. Well if you have generated sitemap.xml it might be overwritten yes. I would personally only use the sitemap of your SEO plugin, because its just better up to date. Or you can rename your hand-made sitemap to something else 😊

Hi there! Well just redirect the old domain with 302 to new domain per URL. So Googlebot sees that the old website has a new domain. Then wait 2 weeks for all old URLS are removed from the SERP. Should work fine 👍🏻😀

I have a question...yoast has changed the name of my site in its settings and refuses to allow me to correct it. It's put numbers in the original site name. I can add the "real name" on it's add a name line under it but when I go to my pages they all say "joeys32%" then the rest of the website name. Should I just delete the plugin completely?
Hi Sarah! That’s a really odd situation, I have never encountered this before. Before uninstalling try to change the website title within WordPress itself under “settings” -> “general” if that does not work go to step 2:
You could indeed try to delete the plugin entirely and clean its entries in the database: quadlayers.com/remove-yoast-seo-from-database/
than reinstall the plugin and start over. It should work then.

I doubt if that will fix this problem… but you could deactivate it and see if you can now change the Site Title
You're an awesome teacher. I uninstalled it a second time and it once again gave the wrong name, so I once again deleted and reinstalled it. Then I noticed that it had pre installed information so I chose a tab that said first time installation and then I was able to change the name they chose. Thanks again! Hopefully if someone else comes up with the same issue you can explain it to them...much better than I can! Keep up the great work!

Hi, help please, I use Jetpack too, I did my site connections and site mapping over jetpack, after 2 years saw a video about jetpack saying if you use yeast don't activate mapping and connections by jetpack (wich I realize that jetpack search engine activation button is off and says you are using yoast) . Plus I just learned that to do yoast settings - they were staying as it it I add yoast . SO WHAT SHOULD İ DO : 1) cancel jetpack site mapping and site connections and add them over yoast - jetpack has extra Facebook and yoast has Baidu. 2) continue as it is now 3) choose jetpack from importing other seos at yoast - if I do this should I do what I said at " 1 " . 4) lastly if i must do " 1 " , at google should I delete my settings and new for yoast settings. because can't see html on current google settings to add toast . Hi Jay! Yes you can, but the sitemap will be send to Google if you generate it with Yoast. I always do all the SEO setup after going live with the website.

Hi David Grey! Thanks for your good question. It totally depends. If I have a website that needs to live from SEO, than yes I optimise every single page. Not so much the contact page of course, but everything else should have a good score. If the website does not need SEO that bad, I don't optimize every page, only the most important ones. Hey I have a question - Yoast SEO is acting up and it's not letting me click on the button that allows me to change any of my settings for that plugin. I just get an error 404 page or whatever it's called (the "you bad man" thing.) I have also tried disabling Yoast SEO plugin only and when I click view All Pages on my editor menu, I also get the error 404. I literally have not done anything to the website in several days and it's suddenly acting like this.... maybe Yoast SEO pushed an automatic update that's preventing me from using it? That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I have tried other troubleshooting steps suggested by various websites when I googled the problem like renaming my indexes on my host and none of that helped. I disabled all the plugins, and I still get the error.

If you saves your changes on your website, then Google will update its SERP regularly but not actually instant. So it could take a few days / weeks (depending on search traffic) how fast your Title and Description will be changed inside of the search results page of google 😀 Hang in there!

@@WPressDoctor both BE and FE. I'd love to give it a whirl and find out which toggle, did what, but even a back reverse process and back up restoration has not resolved it. So, I guess the only option is to re-do the entire translated pages - ie. delete, and reintrothem.
So what exactly happened. I have polylang, elementor and a premium yoasr running on a kadence template. Prior to crawler optimisation, i had two menus. Primary in ENG and secondary in another lingo, with a flag to switch from one to another. After the toggle switch the secondary langauge menu dissapeared., though all polylang settings remained the same. restoration to a previous backup copy, has left me with a menu where once I switch to 2ndary langauge but there is no 2ndary menu. Instead i have the english primary menu, and if i want to view the contact from in 2ndary language I need to first select it in primary english, and then clock to 2ndary language. so the php is properly fucked. If I have to place a bet I would say it was something from the "Disable unwanted content formats". Anyways thats a couple of days of work in the shitter, as i need to revwrite the entire tag and keyword section. Will keep a txt copy of everything from now on.

While I appreciate your effort, this guide doesn't explain much besides "listing" all the options of the Yoast SEO plugin, which makes it pretty dull and generic. There are no examples or explanations of how and where each option will reflect someone's website, which should be the point of a guide like this one. No matter what anyone thinks, website building, and especially SEO, is a "science" and a highly complex process, and it takes a long, long time for someone to master it. Instead of giving a "sense of false hope" and trying to depict this as something easy to do, you could at least mention that there is much more to learn about SEO before using a plugin like Yoast.
