    Agreed‼️ Re-education is imperative. Decolonization teachings is imperative ‼️ The business registration process for Africans worldwide should be easier‼️ How can growth of people and community be expected if business amongst each other is made to be difficult and with so many restrictions?‼️ Tourism doesn’t generally help the masses directly and consistently. And tourism isn’t community ‼️ Nations thrive from community ‼️ ALSO slavery is not abolished here in the states. Read the 13th amendment, then look at the private prison [system] 🤔 We have work to do people. And we’re doing it, so don’t hesitate to join in any level of positivity. Love to all. Bless.

    Wow what a ‘breath of fresh air’. Portia is really in the grove within a few months has been able to hit on the obvious that not even the so universities or social scientist have the courage to comment on. Some of us recall having ‘civic education’ engaged in volunteering and learned each others languages. Suddenly there’s ‘dominance’ by one group over the other. My language is being superseded by other in Accra.

      It's mind boggling. I just watched an interview on Jimmy Kimmel of a young Black Brit actress called India Amarteifio and some people in the comments were claiming Amarteifio is an Ewe name. It's sad that people cannot even identify the cultural markers of different groups. The government has to do more to promote awareness of the country's indigenous diversity

    Portia, are you viscerally anti Akan? If you are, you are swimming against the tide. According to the 2021 Ghana population census, Akans represent 45.7 % of the total population of Ghana. Ewes' share is 12 8% and that of the Ga-Adangwe is 7.1%. The data shows why Twi is widely spoken throughout our country. It is a common knowledge that in most societies the language of the majority prevails.
    You will recall in Canada the French Canadians felt and still feel resentful for speaking English. And as you are aware separatism is still alive in Quebec. As a student at Université Laval in the mid 70s, I witnessed at first hand separatist politics across the Province of Québec. I am also a Ghanaian-Canadian. Returned home after retirement!

      @ThePortiaGana ปีที่แล้ว

      Separatism isn’t just about language it’s about two separate country folk being forced into one new one, you’ll always have separatists who aren’t even serious. All over Canada you will find some towns that are strictly French. I’m not anti anyone I am pro respect for all and that people should not try to establish dominance and diminish other’s languages. Canada could easily turn into a fully English country as its majority but it respects the French side regardless of defeating them and incorporated French in all government things. And depending on where in Canada you are they fully cater to immigrant languages, with street signs and language requirements in the institutions like banks.

    Is she crazy or what? Akan is the largest ethnic group in Ghana and the most spoken local language in Ghana is Twi. So why is she so uptight when she's asked if she speaks Twi? No one is saying Twi is the only language spoken in Ghana but it is the most common language spoken besides English. Please do not make it about Ashantis.
