Exactly. Listening to it in 2020. I forgot how good they were. And they were only the opening act on this tour. This tour had Korn and Limp Bizkit. I remember it. It was sick.
I still rock Candyass, front to back, at LEAST once a month all these years later, if not more. The whole album really still holds up well. Every track on it was banging. I know they had cool songs after, but, the albums after weren't just straight gold all the way through like Candyass was. GREAT album. I wish I could've seen the original lineup of this band
Punk Statik Paranoia (Orgy's third album) was a lot more like Candyass compared to the sophomore record, Vapor Transmission. I feel like Orgy should've released something that sounded more like PSP in 2000; it definitely had more of that nü-metal vibe-similar with Candyass.
@@HalfClickUp Haha! Well, who doesn’t really… the only good thing about getting older is that one is just not as dumb one used to be. Time is a strange thing

I remember streaming an Orgy concert on dial-up modem back in 98/99. I'm not sure if this was the concert or not, but my point is...this band was worth streaming on dial-up because they were so good.
Similar experience; the very first time my family got Internet, the first video I wanted to watch on the family PC was "Blue Monday" on something called RealPlayer. My, how time does fly.
I love how this is all a bunch of 27-45 year olds reminiscing about a band we all grew up loving. Bands don't get mainstream popularity anymore, I remember when "nu-metal" dominated MTV and the radio. Can't get into the new Orgy, I understand Jay is trying to remain relevent but it's not my thing. Also cool how Bobby always used electric drums even live.
Im 20 years old ,but i just enjoy the nu metal as a whole and I wished i could have seen this guys live.I hate how metal sounds so souless nowadays, with every band doing the same sh t
Wow, badass. It seems like they're not even playing to click tracks, just raw-dogging all the tempos. And it sounds awesome. With their genre I would've assumed they would've been supported by backing tracks or even some basic sample triggers, but no one else besides the singer appears to even have in-ear monitors, especially the drummer. Reminds me of Joy Division where the songs sound totally polished on record, but completely raw and different live. I love this way to present this sound.
