That's really powerful. I didn't know there was anything new to discover in Studio One again but after watching this video I realized there's still more. Thank you very much Greg 🙏 keep discovering for us.
INTERESTING that I've been doing this for years LOL... and I thought I was 'cheating' and not doing what 'Pros' do, now I'm sure I AM a pro!!! Thanks, Gregor.
GREGOR! You just showed us how to punch in/out the entire DAW mix. Nice! I've been wanting to get my FMR RNLA into action because I love the little spice it adds when doing its thing. Now I know the way. Thanks! :)
Studio One really needs "Stem Mastering" render options for people who work in media. As it currently stands, every instrument group bus has to be MANUALLY rendered (one-by-one) just so that we can get the master bus processing on each stem. This is VERY time consuming and would be so much easier if there was a "Stems MASTER" render option. Please consider this feature for people who need to deliver multiple audio/stem assets to their clients.
I see what you mean. It would be handy. In the meantime as a workaround, you could drag the masterbus fx to each stem bus. Keep them turned off whilst mixing. Then turn them on for the mixdown. It requires more juice in your computer, but only when in mixdown. You won't notice a cpu hit when mixing. Hope that helps for now.
It’s fair to say though that having your master bus processing on every stem would not be the same as having all busses going into the master bus. This means your added stems would sound different from your normal mix.
I love to do this and finally do FINAL clip gain automations to have a cool sonic effect before electro house drops. I tought to do the same technique using an automation on the master but the mastering plugins introduces latency and the mixtool automation sounds weird. I prefeer to do this way and check part by part to make sure the final render it's PERFECT
@@presonus +1 on this. I'm completely in the box atm and I know I could elevate my productions with a few outboard units (Teglar and the Console 1 looks like a promising combo) but I'm a bit clueless - a vid on how you integrate with S1 would be on my xmas wish list Gregor
Thank you..this is very cool. Great ideas and food for thought… I’m also curious, how do you like the new console one fader? Sorry… not part of the Presonus family, but there it is!
The playback quality through the app is far better than the mixdown. I have tried everything under the sun to get a matching output and am made to realize that it is S1's inherent issue.
I thought it was my interface. But I remember same interface, working way better with Cubase. My exports were much better a.dn with more volume and quality. I don't know what to do
Since there are two cutscene fragments of you moving faders on the Softube Fader MK3 in there, can we expect a video on how that integrates with S1 anytime soon?
THANK YOU!!! This just saved my butt.. I have just started to use the plugin Voice AI from Sound ID (Soundworks) in my projects. I tried so many time to bounce the track I want to process into a voice and it just would not commit..This plugin will just disable in the background every time I bounce or export. I think its because they want you to use up as many tokens as possible. This method worked!!! If anybody knows of a better method to make this easier/faster for me that that would be great.. Thanks!
I have problems with realtime export always cpu spikes random so the Audio is crackling i sit for 1 Week already but i cant get my mix out of the daw without dropouts and its really frustrating i use the spl eq as hardware
Hello Sir, I am very tired of asking everyone. But I did not get the right advice from anyone. Some say to buy a dynamic mic, some say to buy a condenser mic. I want to record my poetry professionally at home. Please tell me a good mic and audio interface which gives me professional sound quality within my budget. My room is not Sound proof, My total budget is 350 dollars for audio interface, mic and headphones.
This was very informative but I see Softube Fader MK3 and couldn't help but wonder. FADERPORT 8 & 16 still don't follow selected channels. Plz fix this. I mean even SSL has done a workaround for Studi One. Faderport is made by Presonus! cmon!
ooouuuuh yeaah! Gregor's got the new Softube Fader unit. I'll get that one the day they put it up for sale. II hope you're enjoying it!! Ist it as good as you expected it to be ?! ... and thanks for the video, and all the many others. Always reviewing some that stuff you posted in the pas. So much awesome info, but worth every minute spent watching and learning. Thanks man, you're great!!
When the CPU is hitting its limits due to CPU-heavy plugins, this is something that you can’t avoid. This has nothing to do with a glitch in Studio One‘s audio engine. -GBY
@@presonusehhhhh it’s pretty bad if you use more than a few instances of pipeline. If the CPU were pegged like in the video we both know it wouldn’t even play back. I don’t think the engine is glitching but there’s a pretty obvious problem with pipeline even with the CPU sitting way under half, especially with a plugin loaded into MixFX.
I'm a newbie here on this program. I start it up and turn it off more then I record. it's so shitty, the manual is a joke and if not for TH-cam, I bet this program would have never made it.

Can you go more into detail on how the Console 1 integrates with S1 please?
Yep, that's definitely going to be one of my upcoming future videos. :) -GBY

Great information, i like studio one pro ✔🎶🎼
Plz give us option to export stems like cubase in which we can include any fx without any crazy routing

I really like that
The presonus faderport has been transformed into a console 1 fader mk3 :p
I saw that too. I went back to double-check. Theres a Fader 1 on that close up shot, but it's gone in the wide shot. I get it. Good to know...

That’s crazy. That’s the exact hardware I have also.
Why printing masterbus to a new track occur differences when we null-test it with the export mixdown (with real time process)?
But what about reverb tails? Aren't those getting cut when you mix like this?
Not if you record with a few bars preroll. -GBY
1818VSL is there an updated mixer software for it as the one with it is terrible , cannot rescale the window.. and several bugs.
they have even sample detection which year the sample is of!

All this so there doesn’t have to be a solution to the audio engine dropout problem?
No - the actual benefit is committing to a Song Mix section by section, without having to lock the channel level faders into Automation modes. -GBY
Studio One is very complete DAW.
It's also the best looking, most intuitive etc etc etc
