- This is modified Diecast Racing at the beautiful Shavano Mountain Raceway in Colorado. GTR is intended for diecast racing fans 13+.
Welcome to the Ultimate EVO competition sponsored by Polo Racing and GTR. Stage 1 started with 24 competitors at the 1/8 mile drag strip at Polo Racing. The top 16 have advanced to Stage 2, which takes place here at Shavano Mountain Raceway. Four group races will narrow the field to 8 for Stage 3 back at Polo Racing.

What a show!! Not a typical night for Numbskull. BLR perfect that is crazy. One of the best shows around congratulations. To all moving on and GTR for the success they have with the shows

WOW! Competitive races are exciting, but so is watching a speed demon like this! I was screaming for joy in race 4 when the 4th car DNF'd, giving Papi another shot at a perfect sweep, which he delivered. On a side note, I just want to compliment Mark on his work. What a gift this channel is to the diecast racing community!

I wouldn't have thought a race where one driver simply dominates would be this exciting - but amazing stuff! The only downside is I've been rooting for Fat Dad and I thought he was going to get through after his wicked sudden death pass. But heart break instead.
Fat Dad had a better chance of being struck by lightning twice in the same day than winning vs this field
I was grateful for the 90 seconds of ads between the 4 regular laps and the _Southern Death_ runs! That let me catch my breath after the brain melting, jaw dropping performance
from BlueLine Racing here! Unbelievable and unassailable *PERFECT SCORE* and if not two records then certainly the top time record by a far margin!! Showing us all what EVOs can do, even when compared to others of its kind!
All the normal things I praise you for, GTR, in addition to that start grid graphic, I saw immediately how easily read it is, even on a mobile screen 💯😎🏁

In fact, given the complexity of the final graphics where so much information is provided, your matching the changes with the announcing guiding us where to look helps so much for us fans using smaller devices
Whenever I watch a race anywhere that includes drivers I'm not familiar with, I always root for the ones I know. Here that was Numbskull.

Yes, that's the rule. Now... there have been a couple of times in all my races where I've filmed a 4-way dnf but didn't include it in the video because it added no value. This one really did!
Yeah, it's always been a restart if all DNF. At least for as long as I've been watching.

What makes me go insane seeing a time like that from Champagne Papi is that it wasn’t perfect
- He ran over a tumble weed
- Got onto the side of the track
- You can always be better down the scrambler
- I’d argue that drift wasn’t as good as it could be

Agreed. And I can't imagine anyone questioning watching this channel. Mark does a fantastic job and I love how he shares his behind the scenes track building strategy and tactics. I have not seen a better self-made track, or any track with as many unique features.

Hi mark! An alternative to not having to restart the same race would be to automatically assign a position as a car dnf, up to the last car that does not complete the circuit, considering the winner for having covered the greatest distance between all the cars.
But if the reason for restarting the race is because it's more fun, that's also valid! It is very cool too!

If you look at the timer on the still shot on race one pappy ran a 21.96.
Aha, good observation! Allow me to explain. Yes, it does appear that way, but a very accurate way of determining a finish time is to reference the still frame when another car triggers the timer, then match the frame-by-frame timer to it. That is how 22.35 was determined. If i showed the still frame when Papi finished with a 22.579, the timer looks like it should read 22.2xx.
