Bought mine spring 2023 and paid $4,200 out the door, this mower stands next to mid range Scags and other higher end mowers hands down. Mow quality is extremely good, and the striping is wonderful.
Great mower, have my 2022 model for 3 months now and I Love it! I cut about 3 acres and a couple miles of trails. Almost bought an eX-Mark Quest 54 until I did the research. Toro owns eX-Mark and this Toro Timecutter is virtually the same mower as the Quest except you get the MyRide and the deck wash hose connectors on the Timecutter for over $1,000 cheaper. I got my Timecutter 75756 for around $3,500 after discounts and rewards so I saved even more. Best mower I have ever owned!
I have a time cutter that is about 8 yrs old. It still runs great. I did have to replace the, belt, fuel pump (cheap), tires, blades just from normal wear. I also replaced the 3 belt pulleys which were not expensive and very easy to replace. I love this mower because it is easy to repair, does great job. Paid around $2500.00. All my neighbors had a $10 thousand dollar mower and my mower does just as good cut in the same time. Really good product. It had a 5 star rating when I bought it, and I would of gave it a 5 also. Only issue I would like to have seen was bigger tires and a seat that had more suspension. But I see the new one has both.
I own a Toro Timecutter. It is a 2020 model. have changed a brake module and a starter relay. It's running good. The motor is Briggs and Stratton comercial 22.5 hp.😊
I feel very lucky that my first ZT was a Toro MyRide 50 Inch. I did a ton of research before settling on this one. My neighbor was so impressed by my Toro that he went out and bought one. He got the Kawasaki engine. Nice Review!!
I like this video because there is no fancy words or salesman presentation going on. I just bought one and I like everything about it. Thanks for your observation and honest opinion.
Thank you for the description of the oil drain tube sticking in place. I went out to the barn and corrected it on my brand new mower, it was tight. I got it just in time. Thanks again.
I’ve been in some heavy stuff and this mower has plenty of power to plow through everything. I’m pretty darn satisfied with the overall experience of mine.
I just custom made a flat blade cover for my Myride 54. Scrap piece of metal, angle grinder, drill and half hour labor. Bolts up to holes for factory shroud
I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.
Great re-review Randy. Most tubers don't ever get back after some time on the machine. But YOU did buddy! Good on you for being honest on all your review videos. That speaks volumes.

4:00 Just purchased the 75754 today and saw that Toro fixed the belt guard issue. There is a screw that the guard fits into and a cotter pin that hold it down. 👍
I completely agree with your review. I have the 50” Timecutter with the Kawasaki engine. Runs smoothly and cuts evenly. I don’t have the my ride seating but it is very comfortable. I looked at Cub Cadet, Bad Boy, Ariens and John Deere. I’m glad I picked Toro. My first rider was a Toro back in 1972. Tuff as nails. Still built like nothing else.

Top end home machine or professional lawn service. We all know better. 2: The belt guards on the deck pullies do fall of. Bad design. Nice try and most of the maintenance items are easily accessible. Better than most small engine designs. 3: This guy Ty-Wrapped his discharge chute. I don't recommend it but if you mow wet, it will add to grass clumping if not raised. I have a small rope on mine to lift the guard to get into my back yard. 4: The oil drain tube is an issue. Put a lubricant on the oil drain hose as soon as you buy it. It will stick to the point of breaking something. 5: I am very impressed with the ease of operation that Toro added to these zero-turn mowers. They are customer conscience and did a great job of making maintenance easy. 6: the grass chute. It was a soft flexible rubber 2 years ago at most and they should have kept it. 7: Toro actually designed and makes that engine. It was a gas pig the 1st few weeks but now as expected.
I killed my XT1 42" CC on an acre after 3yrs, saw the Toros at HD and I think thaysbwhatvibneed to step up to. Is the Kawasaki motor better than the Toro branded one?
Just bought a 75750 timecutter w Kawasaki 23hp. No my ride, don't need it. The deck and cut quality is top notch. I cut on the medium setting. 7mph on bumps is s handful. Wife uses slow mode.
The different speeds really helps people learn to drive one while being productive better. I have enjoyed mine the entire 2020! I hope you enjoy yours just as much Bradley!
I drilled a couple of 1/2 holes in the plastic covers that go over the spindle pulleys on the deck. Then i put an air hose in there and blow it out when I'm cleaning off the machine. That way I can clean it without having to take the covers off. Works good.
Good to hear your still liking your Toro. And as always, great vid! Have over 100 hours on mine and can't find much to complain about. Grass shroud torn=check. Syncro covers come off way too easy=check (mine have cuts in them from the belts). Oil tube fused each oil change=check. Ha ha! Minor things compared to how I feel after a mow. Man my Kubota used to beat me up! Gonna pass this one on when I sell the property and pick up one with a smaller deck. Happy mower over here!
we have a cub cadet Zforce 60 " and I am thinking of getting a Toro 50 inch to fit in some tighter spots ... thanks for the great video. I share a lot of your cutting techniques. Cross cutting is only for people that really like lawns.
Actually...... you can clearly see the 2 adjustment screws 1/2 way down the handle that allow you to adjust the handles on that mower🥴👍 Here we are 2yrs later... Toro Timecutter still runs great... now have 2 neighbors that bought the same thing ... all very happy... all of us have 1+ acre properties
Thank you for your honest opinion from somebody that rides on a mere dawn on everyday I really appreciate that I'm getting ready to buy me a 0 turn here shortly and I've been watching a lot of videos is out of videos on all the different brands
we have a cub cadet Z460 and I am thinking of getting a Toro 50 inch to fit in some tighter spots ... thanks for the great video. I share a lot of your cutting techniques.
I have a54” Toro the battery last less 6 months. Now I am having problems with safety switch, on the handles, the sit, it clicks but not turn on. I bought mine at Tractor Supply 2 ago and the people’s there have very little knowledge about troubleshooting❗️
I work at Lowe's and we had a returned one that seemed to checkout fine when inspected. Its the my ride 54" and I got it for $2300. Delivery is in a few days so im checking out videos
FYI, I was a bit concerned about the Chinese Toro motors when doing my pre purchase research, I didn't read about any real issues just that it can be hard to find parts outside of toro dealers. But I found out that there are models online that usually don't show up to the brick and mortar stores which have real engine options, I bought one with a Kohler 7000 series.
we have a Z5060 that we bought in 2010 - in 2016 I had to replace the LH transaxle @ a cost of $1400+...now the RH side is toast & it's $1580 just for the part...it seems to get "serviceable transaxles" one has to spend a helluva lot more
I just bought the 50" model and love it. The 50" is identical except for the additional 4" of cutting, same engine, frame etc. Unfortunately toro still has the same oil tube issue. I haven't broken the plastic "plug" yet but I won't be surprised if/when it happens.
Saw another vid on this machine. I think that the exposed blade on the chute is made that way to assist in the discharge of grass when the bagging unit is in place.
I never could see the fascination with stripes, as long as it cuts even is all I'm concerned about. I was never a Toro fan but I bought an older timecutter and have enjoyed using it.
The exposed blade makes this mower great for tall thick wet grass. No clogs, shoots that grass far. But it is kind of spooky having that blade exposed.
I had been set on getting the cub zt1 until I saw your videos on those. I stopped in a local dealer back in June after watching the initial review video of this mower and they had a 2019 model on clearance. Of course there are differences, but certainly not in quality. I absolutely love the myride system and the cut finish takes my yard to the next level. The neighbors have all complimented the look of my lawn since buying the 50" myride and laying down the stripes for that professional look.
I have the 2014 50in kawasaki I'm really liking it. Don't recommend the blade guard or mulch kit because it leaves a strip of uncut grass no matter how slow I go.. was a purchase to protect the kids from debris
Parking brake control module gets water in it easily when you wash your mower. This causes an intermittent short in the electrical system resulting in malfunctioning safety switches and no starting. $150 part (2022). 1 year old mower warranty claim denied due to water in the part. I believe the part should be waterproof on an "outdoor " product. If you do not wash your machine then other parts can malfunction (belts, pulleys, etc). I have a problem spending $150+ every time I wash my machine. Good thing I am lazy and just washed it once with a regular hose sprayer. Otherwise great mower, great ride.
I bought the 42mx time cutter in 2019. Have had multiple problems with. It has been in the shop several times. Lest say most of the mowing season. Toro doesn't want to know anything. They drag there feet before authorizing repairs, with one of there dealers. I could go on with a list of dates and what the problems where.
My toro 54 timecutter same issues my deck pulley covers vibrate off I have replaced the twice bc the plastic latch chewed off by the pulley also my discharge chute broke off very easy plus my drive pulley got busted the pulley realm was chewed up by the belt? The dealer Ron Ayres of Greenville Nc didn’t care they said it would take two weeks to fix it well I ended up replacing it my self got it back going everything else is ok so far let’s see how this summer goes todays date is 4/4/22
Damn 3 years and many people get new ones. I run mine till the cant go no more 😂 last one was 7 years and it was meant for a 1.5 acre and i mowed my 4 acres every time with it 😂. Now im looking to get one of these so it can last at least 10 years lol
This one has all the right parts to last well over 3 years! Some people do get a new mower every year. I don't know if its because they made a mistake on their last purchase or they just have to have the newest best thing. Gotta keep up with the Joneses, but why try to flex with mowers? LOL.
Thanks for the great review. Was really wondering about the My Ride and how well it really worked. I have a Bad Boy right now, been a great mower but rides like a lumber wagon. Considering getting one of these.
I actually like the cut out at the discharge on the deck the grass doesn't gum up and plug up the deck like on other mowers with that cut out like it is I understand the danger but I would rather have it like that then have to reach and grab the grass out of there whenever it does get clogged up on wet tall grass
GOOD REVIEW, I watched your first video and bought one of these last week. A couple complaints I have is with the PTO on the machine is very loud. Reminds me of being in an old Cessna airplane. I had to get my shooting muffs out to reduce the noise. The deck assist adjustment is not usable for my while mowing. I have a 34 in inseam and am not able to use the deck assist while mowing without contorting my right leg. You had said on your first video that the mower cut 100%, I did not find that to be true. My mower leaves stragglers in the same line, off and on.
I think i'm gonna buy one of these mowers soon , my old 2007 rtz50 cub cadet has 750 hours on it and its tired ... i want the 60inch toro but my bank account says' Nah , you need to look at that 54 inch instead" LOL
2019, I ran a 60", 2020 I ran this 54". Don't laugh,,,,, 6" gets the work done noticeably quicker. The good thing about this Toro 54 is, the motor is the same that they put on larger mowers, so it's "over powered" letting you cut thicker grass without bogging down as you would with the 60" of the same model. You're doing fine with the 54". I didn't want to sell my last Cub zero turn tractor. It was 12 years old and I didn't know how it was still standing, but it started every time and mowed grass, I always had the feeling it was going to be its last mow. 4 years later, it's still running! I know the guy I sold it to. Sometimes you get lucky I guess lol.
I have same mower bought new last year I did not know how to move it in Nuetural 2 Lady at the shop, said have to do your lever in back no Brainer but have to turn on key and then move 1 bar handle inward to make it roll To much to do to make it roll in Nuetural
I just performed the 5 hour oil change on my mower. Even after watching this video, taking care and wiggling and twisting, I still couldn't take the oil drain hose off without breaking the plastic plug. Very frustrating. I spent 50 minutes having to chat online with TORO because there is NOBODY to speak to live. Very frustrating. I wanted to know what they are doing regarding this well known issue and all I was told was take it back to my dealer for them to look at it. But, I bought mine at Tractor Supply. They're not considered dealers. So I called the nearest dealer, 20 miles away, who told me that there was NO GUARANTEE that TORO would cover the cost of a new shroud. And that they had not heard any feedback from TORO that there is an issue. AND WHEN YOU DO AN OIL CHANGE, DON'T BOTHER LOOKING IN THE MANUAL FOR A FILTER PART NUMBER, ITS NOT THERE!
I had a terrible time and horribly failed whenever dealing with customer support. I won't buy another toro for just that reason. No help from dealer or Toro.
I bought one of those back in 2020 early-Mid season and add the hour meter and it's already got 200hrs on it and just now today noticed one of the pto pumps is whining and it's leaking hydro fluid and it was hot 🔥 as hell after I had gotten a big yard done I'm trying to research if these pumps are serviceable or not or am I going to have to get the pump replaced don't know yet but trying to find out if it's still under warranty or not talk about one heck of a headache geez my old time cutter from 2010 is still going better than this one is what the hail! 😭🤦😞🤷🤔🧐🤷
Hi there I almost bought one only my grip is how do you get on and off that machine Safty and if I'm cutting around bushes I have to do twice the work I'd rather have a Toro Grandstand
I myself I want the Toro time cutter but I only can afford the 42" but I would like to have an iron deck on it and a high back comfortable seat like the one I seen in your review and the toro 22.5 HP commercial engine if I can get the my ride I'll get it but if I can deal with out it I'm fine but in order to get half of what I want it comes with a different engine and the seat that I don't want
I’ve seen Lawncare companies mow for years with the smaller Toros! I wouldn’t be afraid to get the 42. I wouldn’t want it, but I wouldn’t be afraid. Lol.
I'm looking into buying a ride on mower at the moment but was put off the idea of a Toro because I've been told that the residential models are actually made in China and only assembled in America. Even in this video he says " the engine is tagged by Toro but not sure who makes them" i think he knows who make them. You have to spend big dollars to get the commercial mowers that are made in America. Have you had any problems?
I bought mine less than year I have had belt problems blades ,I had to replace in less 3 months, now safty switch problems, just put new brake module, and still having problems with mower
My ss5000 timecutter has always, making turnarounds, tires tear up the grass to the dirt! And inclines back tires will drag for some reason and rip the grass up! Makes me 🤬. Then the idler pulleys that you can’t grease, 2 yrs all you get out of them before the bearings burn up! Kawasaki motor is great. Had to replace every switch on the dang thing, plungers on handles, starter switch, trans actuator switch ($90!), seat safety switch etc… every stinking year something goes bad!
I think this mower would work for me cause my lower front yard has a lot of under ground water springs and hardly dries out in the heat of the day of the georgia summer heatwave.this mower would work for me cause I have a back disc problem and the mower I have now makes me sore when I get off the mower.the mower I have now is a husqvarna 24v48 riding mower
Great reviews all around. I’m definitely thinking about buying one of these machines. I recently picked up a Toro Recycler AWD walk behind mower and it is the nicest mower I have ever had. Definitely impressed with Toro.
I think I narrowed it down to the following ztr. Ariens xd52, Gravley ztx 52 which seems to be the same as the Ariens with slight differents and 200 more and Toro timecutter 50" without myride. Was looking at Hustler as well. Guess my main question is what is the life expectancy of the 2200 hydros? I have a 1acre lot, will I get 10 or more years out of these? Most of the dealers are really pushing the 2800 hydros. I keep thinking to myself. I have had a 2002 riding mower since new. Never had any issues with hydros. Is 2200 hydros fine or do I really need to spend the $1,000 more and get the 2800 hydros.
Great questions Travis! For real. You have actually picked some of the top brands and took into consideration one of the biggest components of the mowers. First of all. Ariens is Gravely. Same company, same manufacturing, different colors. I’m assuming you know all of these Hydrogears on all of the mowers are the exact same brand as well. SO, the 2200’s are an entry level hydro. You are really rolling the dice on how long these will last. Sure you can get some to last 10+ years. I’ve had one last me 12 years and I sold it as a working mower. Then I’ve seen them crap out in less that a year. When you step up into the 2800’s and 3200’s, you’re getting a higher pressure unit. You are still rolling the dice with these hydros as well though, but the dice are a little weighted. You will get better life out of a bigger hydro just because they aren’t going to be working as hard. If you feel comfortable with the 2200’s, I would then take into consideration “dealer support”. With most of the mowers having a 3 year warranty, you want an honest dealer that is going to take care of you and not say that you ran it too hard or abused it, or something stupid like that to get out of having to do warranty work. In my OPINION, a 2200 will do just fine with one acre, a 2800 will do better and you will be more happy with the performance, especially if you have a lot of obstacles and hills. Flat ground? The 2200 will be just fine. I know there is still a lot of concerns that you might have. If at all possible, find a dealer that will let you run around the lot on a couple of machines and feel for yourself what you will like better. Most local mower dealers have demo units on the lot. I hope that helps some Travis! Best of luck to ya!!
I literally just paid for mine 10 minutes ago Thanks to your honest review and videos also all of the questions that I had you promptly responded I hope that Toro will be rewarding you because of you many more of us are buying Toro products I’ll keep you posted if any issue Again thank you for your time and responses By the way; at the end of this video did you just crash into the bushes lol 😆?
Randy, great review. I have the same mower without the my ride. I love it!!! Awesome cut and a quality machine. Silly question but i mow at 4" also and was wondering where you have your anti scalp wheels set
If you mow at 4”, the anti scalp wheels are no bother to you. They are only there for larger angulations of the ground and to keep the deck and blades from scalping. If you were normally mowing at 2”, I would entertain the idea of giving a more in-depth response.
@@g4outdoors Thank you for the quick response. My property is very uneven in many areas. There are 4 predrilled holes to choose from for the wheels and I was just wondering if you had a recommendation on where to set them.
Can I ask why you wouldnt cut the shute back to work as the cover just on the edge of the deck so you dont have to strap it up and you have the edge covered? I am considering doing it, but might me missing something?
I have not been able to find a mulching plug for this mower. I like to mulch plus it makes me nervous that the side discharge sticks out so far and can easily be broken
I also have very wet terrain and zero turns MX4275 Are you only using side discharge or mulching? What cutting height do you use so you don't have too many piles of grass. Do you cross the grid twice?
I just got the Toro my ride 50”. I love the mower but the only problem I have is the caster it makes a cracking sound at times when making a turn I had water that came out of the caster bottom side . I had removed the cap to check and it seems like water has been in the caster for a while. I only have like six hours on it. I have yet to let Home Depot know about. Has anyone ever had this problems yet since there is no way of lubing it or checking it unless you you pop the caps. I like the mower easy to operate the way runs.
I have the 50" and have not seen this. Glad I purchased from a Toro Dealer who can diagnose and make any repairs. Some dealers can be picky if you did not buy from them.
Thanks for the review! I just picked up the 50" yesterday. Any updates on a cover for the discharge? I am going to install the recycler kit and even though that hides the blades, I'd still like a cover for it so I can take the flap off.
I got the recycler kit for mine. I've found that the blades the kit comes with have no lift at all and seems to lay the grass over. I tried more aggressive blades but it was too much for the mower and bogged it down unless going very slow. It does make the yard look great but I cut 2 acres and don't have the patience to go that slow haha
Great review! I wish there was more of a comparison between this and the Ariens Apex. These are the two I'm debating about since I kicked out the Bad Boy option ($$$). I have just under an acre to cut with only 1 tree in the yard. No just want a good ZTR, bit definitely not going to pay 5-figures for one.
Tied between the Husqvarna 50's and Toro 50's. Kawasaki or Toro engine doesn't matter. They are both commercial grade in my opinion. I'll never buy anything with a Kohler engine again! Was looking at Cub Cadets before watching this video and really they are alright they just aren't something I would recommend for someone going into the lawncare business.
I just had to make one comment related to the plastic plug . I have had many objects break because of one reason . Plastic ! My tuning pegs broke , a garbage trash can broke because the foot pedal opening mechanism was plastic , and other items that had an important part made of plastic . Plastic always gets old and brittle . When will manufacturers ever learn ! ? Never never make anything out of plastic . Never !
Bought mine spring 2023 and paid $4,200 out the door, this mower stands next to mid range Scags and other higher end mowers hands down. Mow quality is extremely good, and the striping is wonderful.
Just bought one and they have fixed the pulley covers. They now have cotter pins on them that keep them from backing off by themselves

Happy mower over here!
dtn I can look over cosmetics. Lol. I really do enjoy mowing with mine.
we have a cub cadet Zforce 60 " and I am thinking of getting a Toro 50 inch to fit in some tighter spots ... thanks for the great video. I share a lot of your cutting techniques. Cross cutting is only for people that really like lawns.
Just finishing up 1st mowing season with the Toro. Great mower.
Actually...... you can clearly see the 2 adjustment screws 1/2 way down the handle that allow you to adjust the handles on that mower🥴👍
Here we are 2yrs later... Toro Timecutter still runs great... now have 2 neighbors that bought the same thing ... all very happy... all of us have 1+ acre properties
That’s TOTALLY on Toro!!! I’ve gone through about 3 or 4 of those grass-flaps. Toro definitely needs to come up with a MORE FLEXIBLE grass-flap!!!
Right it so brittle barely hit anything broken…..
Yes! I had to fight to get my drain tube off and I broke it! I put a screw in it to keep debris out. My model is a #75745. Great mower though!👍🏼
Kingofmphs I don’t have a problem just plugging mine myself. It IS a great mower!
@@g4outdoors Had the same battle with the drain tube as well. Got it off without breaking however
Thank you for your honest opinion from somebody that rides on a mere dawn on everyday I really appreciate that I'm getting ready to buy me a 0 turn here shortly and I've been watching a lot of videos is out of videos on all the different brands
I just looked at a timecutter myride and they now use a cotter pin to hold the pulley assembly cover in place. Easy off easy on.
Thats good to hear!
we have a cub cadet Z460 and I am thinking of getting a Toro 50 inch to fit in some tighter spots ... thanks for the great video.
I bought mine because of your reviews and videos. Love it.
That’s awesome!! Glad I could help and good luck with your mower!
G4 Outdoors Thank you! Keep up the good videos!
I work at Lowe's and we had a returned one that seemed to checkout fine when inspected. Its the my ride 54" and I got it for $2300. Delivery is in a few days so im checking out videos
Cut the decks discharge flap short. It will provide the protection needed, and eliminate the wind rowing.
Great idea
FYI, I was a bit concerned about the Chinese Toro motors when doing my pre purchase research, I didn't read about any real issues just that it can be hard to find parts outside of toro dealers. But I found out that there are models online that usually don't show up to the brick and mortar stores which have real engine options, I bought one with a Kohler 7000 series.
Ive had a timecutter for damn near a decade. Still mows my 3 acres great but im planning on upgrading to the 60" soon.
I went to Tractor Supply and got me one and I love it that's a nice ride
Mine is a 2017 and I love it. I have the largest lawn in the neighborhood but I can cut mine the fastest. Myride system is a must have.
I bought aToro 50" cut love it. I Agee about the plastic discharge. PS 4 years
we have a Z5060 that we bought in 2010 - in 2016 I had to replace the LH transaxle @ a cost of $1400+...now the RH side is toast & it's $1580 just for the part...it seems to get "serviceable transaxles" one has to spend a helluva lot more
I just bought the 50" model and love it. The 50" is identical except for the additional 4" of cutting, same engine, frame etc. Unfortunately toro still has the same oil tube issue. I haven't broken the plastic "plug" yet but I won't be surprised if/when it happens.
Having a 50" delivered next Friday. Looking forward to it! Thanks for the review
Saw another vid on this machine. I think that the exposed blade on the chute is made that way to assist in the discharge of grass when the bagging unit is in place.
Yes I agree.. How can you fly being covered up. This opening let's grass go up and away
I wish Toro (or someone aftermarket) would come out with a flexible rubber discharge chute to replace the hard plastic one that breaks.
I picked one up yesterday... it's pretty, so I've left it in my truck and probably will till the weekend. : )
If you get the 26' model, you can include your neighbor's homes as your lawn... and THAT'S an improvement.
Helpful reviews. Looked at this machine for a while and compared it to the Scag Liberty Z. Ended up going with Scag.
Nothing wrong with a Scag man. Not a bad word to say about them. I was actually extremely close to buying one at the beginning of this season.
I have a titan max, the hydros whine. No issues IMO and i wear hearing protection anyway
I have the same mower but 50 inch . I agree with everything your saying.
I’m probably going to get this mower now knowing it cuts better than the Ariens
My exmark has the same engine and oil drain and it is 4years old and it never broke.
Toro makes exmark.
Perfect review. What I was looking for.
Thank you!!
What i would do take a saw and cut it off so it covers the blade and sits level with the deck, this works well on all models with a Huge deflector.
My toro 54 timecutter same issues my deck pulley covers vibrate off I have replaced the twice bc the plastic latch chewed off by the pulley also my discharge chute broke off very easy plus my drive pulley got busted the pulley realm was chewed up by the belt? The dealer Ron Ayres of Greenville Nc didn’t care they said it would take two weeks to fix it well I ended up replacing it my self got it back going everything else is ok so far let’s see how this summer goes todays date is 4/4/22
You shouldn’t have had an issue with any of the pulleys, but if you got it changed, your golden!
I'm with you on that flap it can be in your way at the best of times. Myne actually got a clip where it's actually flipping up
It looks like the blade height adjusts in 1/2" increments, same as my Husqvarna. I much prefer 1/4" increments like a John Deere I had at one time.
I actually like the cut out at the discharge on the deck the grass doesn't gum up and plug up the deck like on other mowers with that cut out like it is I understand the danger but I would rather have it like that then have to reach and grab the grass out of there whenever it does get clogged up on wet tall grass
Great review Mr. Randy , the cut looks phenomenal . About time to wet a jig isn't it ~
It’s always about time to wet a jig and give it a dangle!
Lol
I hated the “my ride” I went and returned mine for a stock one without the my ride it rides so much and way more storage compartments
I did the same thing I hated the my ride
I have same mower bought new last year
I did not know how to move it in Nuetural 2
Lady at the shop, said have to do your lever in back no Brainer but have to turn on key and then move 1 bar handle inward to make it roll
To much to do to make it roll in Nuetural
I'm two years late but just cut the plastic back on the shoot to make the cover for blades.
I never found a filter # or a cross reference # either. I might have mentioned that in my oil change video.
I had a terrible time and horribly failed whenever dealing with customer support. I won't buy another toro for just that reason. No help from dealer or Toro.
Have a oil vac too remove engine oil. Simple too do, takes a couple of minutes. Buy at Amazon!
I think an idiot designed that.
After messing around for 20 minutes, I cut the tube off and plugged it.
It there a bag that collects all the grass clippings? I done see a bag??? Please explain.
Lol.
I bought mine here in Australia about 6 months ago then it stopped raining.... love the mower just don't have grass to mow lol
@@stephenwatson2328 zero problem mate been great so far
I bought mine less than year I have had belt problems blades ,I had to replace in less 3 months, now safty switch problems, just put new brake module, and still having problems with mower
My dealer says the 24.5hp is a Kohler, I got the 23hp Kawasaki.
So 3 years later and mine which I’ve had for a month is the same. Grass flap issue. Open deck with exposed blade. The exact same. Is Toro listening?
I think this mower would work for me cause my lower front yard has a lot of under ground water springs and hardly dries out in the heat of the day of the georgia summer heatwave.this mower would work for me cause I have a back disc problem and the mower I have now makes me sore when I get off the mower.the mower I have now is a husqvarna 24v48 riding mower
Great reviews all around. I’m definitely thinking about buying one of these machines.
I recently picked up a Toro Recycler AWD walk behind mower and it is the nicest mower I have ever had. Definitely impressed with Toro.
I got mine yesterday. I don't know how it cuts yet, but it looks great in my truck bed. : )
I was looking at this mower and I’m curious if the toro motor is holding up?
@@g4outdoors Thanks for such a detailed response.
One acre lot dude that is not alot. This mower is overkill
I literally just paid for mine 10 minutes ago
Thanks to your honest review and videos also all of the questions that I had you promptly responded I hope that Toro will be rewarding you because of you many more of us are buying Toro products
I’ll keep you posted if any issue
Again thank you for your time and responses
By the way; at the end of this video did you just crash into the bushes lol 😆?
Yes I did! 🤣. It can’t all be serious straight faced videos. You are super welcome for the responses! Well except for this late one lol.
You’ve reviewed both toro time cutter and the Aries apex. In your opinion which mower is better? I’ve read some horrific reviews on the apex.
What's the knife you pulled out of your pocket at the 5:55 mark?
Great review and info. 👍
Mine is about 4 years old and I have replaced the hydro gear 3 times .I will not buy another one.
Just ordered mine, cant wait!!!
Cool!! You’ll really enjoy it! Congrats!!
How do you like your mower
@@vicirish74 Love it well worth the money
I have not been able to find a mulching plug for this mower. I like to mulch plus it makes me nervous that the side discharge sticks out so far and can easily be broken
I saw this NEW mower at Home Depot today and the GRASS FLAP was broken identical to your....lol
I also have very wet terrain and zero turns MX4275
Are you only using side discharge or mulching?
Whatdo you think of the cub cadet zt2 vs the Toro timecutter? Zt2 has big tires and 2800 hydros. Etc. How donyou like cut quality on zt2?
Thanks for the review! I just picked up the 50" yesterday. Any updates on a cover for the discharge? I am going to install the recycler kit and even though that hides the blades, I'd still like a cover for it so I can take the flap off.
Nah. That is how it's designed for bagging purposes. I don't foresee any changes.
Toro hand
The apex series Ariens is mechanically beefier. They come with zt3100 hydros. The Timecutter is much more similar to their Ikon series.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥good job
I just had to make one comment related to the plastic plug . I have had many objects break because of one reason .
Plastic ! My tuning pegs broke ,
a garbage trash can broke because the foot pedal opening mechanism was plastic , and other items that had an important part made of plastic . Plastic always gets old and brittle . When will manufacturers ever learn ! ?
Never never make anything out of plastic . Never !
Question. How do you have a strip kit that makes it strip like that or it just cuts that way?
