This looks lovely and what I like about you is you go slow enough for us to see what you are doing and you go fast enough for us not to say hurry up!! You are a natural!!! Thankyou!!! ❤️
This is actually very beginner friendly~ My daughter made herself a sample swatch of this and now she's ready to complete a throw blanket for herself~ She's never finished anything with crochet lol But this is easy and simple to follow~
Finally... someone who holds their yarn in their fingers like I do!!! Love this pattern...... it's a simple stitch for me, as most of my afghans are made of these 2 stitches. Live the black background with the variegated colors!!!
Hi, this a advanced set of stitches to say the least. I worked right along with the video. Thank goodness I could pause and go back as needed. However, I got it. Works up pretty. I had fun. Robin is very good and explains well. Thank you.
I adore this pattern, thank-you. This would presumably work beautifully in the round, it would do away with all those end as you could carry up the strand just used up one row on the inside. It also means not having to come up with a border to help hide ends.
I am just starting to learn how to crochet and I find your videos very helpful to an old biddy like me. Thank you for taking your time to explain the different stitches as you are doing your samples. When my cat allows it I will be trying to do them. Margaret
Love this pattern, especially with the black and rainbow yarns. I would use two balls of each color and just carry the yarn up the side (not into weaving all those ends in!). Add a nice border to cover up the carried yarn and Bob's your uncle!
I'm SO glad I saved this stitch because I'm working on a sampler afghan kit that I only have half of and I have too much yarn to just leave it at what the kits gave me, I'm improvising stripes now, this one and the Rice stitch are DEFINITELY getting included
While I don’t like switching colors because weaving ends is annoying. I can see where the extra effort is completely worth it! It is gorgeous & your sample piece is (muah, chef’s kiss). I LOVE the colors!
Yeah, I reckon I’m into fringe on projects. I actually want to make myself a blanket with this stitch & the only way it would happen is if I did fringe instead of weaving the millions of ends 😂
after alot of pausing and going back a few times, l think l have got it, but l am only brave enough to make some dish cloths so far , l am very happy you don't talk alot and mess me up so thank you forthat as well as this stitch. cheers
This looks amazing with the black and multicolor. I am going to start a project with this tonight. Thanks so much for posting. I just finished making a bunch of those little flower keychains from your channel. Adorable!
Wow! I’ve been crocheting for more years than I want to reveal lol .. and this is a first for me!! Thank you so much, Robin! You’re such a great teacher ❤️
I have been crocheting for a very long time, and I have never seen this stitch, it is amazing, I will definitely be trying it. Thank You for sharing Your Time, and Your Talent with all of us. I have watched several of your videos, and I have enjoyed them all, I have learned a lot of new stitches. Thank You.
My ice yarn arrived and I am trying this. Thanks to your wonderful teaching abilities, I am actually doing this and everyone in my family is impressed!! I now have numerous requests for items using this stitch and yarn!! If only I had more time. Thank you so much. I truly appreciate your tutorials!!
You are awesome.I love this stitch. I did practice swatches and they turned out really beautiful. I am ordering yarn to make a blanket for my bed. You explain yourself very well and I love all your videos . Keep on creating these beautifully stitches patterns. Thank you for all your videos. I love how to have long tails to weave in the ends. There are some people who cut the tails to short. I have had people come to me with there afghans and scarves and others items with all these ends sticking out in their items asking me to fix them. Some I could others I just couldn't. When I come across videos where the tails are short I nicely tell them not to demonstrate using short tail method. God Bless.
I'm definitely trying this and imagine beginner but I love watching the videos. I'm a visual person and I can't read the directions to crochet. So I love this and the colors are gorgeous 😍
This is fabulous! Your tutorials are the best. Love that you pinned all the rows for easy to follow instructions. Going to make a prayer shawl with this pattern. Love it!
I’m addicted to Ice Yarns and have Picasso in several colourways, plus various contrasting and toning solids, so I will DEFINITELY be using this stitch pattern at some future date. Thank you so much for the time and effort you have taken to bring us this tutorial ❤️❤️❤️
omg - i am in LOVE with this pattern! i have a baby blanket to do for mid November and knew i wasn't happy with what i started the other month - this will be PERFECT!
I love this stitch. I have black and bright pink. Those are My new niece's colors. But I plan to carry the black and pink up the sides as I will be puttibg a border on it. SOOOOOOOO thank you very much for the tutorial.
Robin: thank you very much for the pattern and the tutorial. I have brain fog sometimes and you teach so well I can understand you. But, I don't feel talked down to. And that is very special.
This is a gorgeous stitch ! I feel like you have to use 2 colors to really see the pattern at it's best.I think I want to try this to make a headband. If I leave the ends a bit longer they can be braided together to make the tie on one side . I think it would be perfect.
Wow, I JUST saw this same sort of pattern on another channel, but instead of 2 DC Tog, it was 2 SC tog. It was all done in a single color. I actually used it to make washcloths, and the whole time I was wondering how it would look with 2 DC Tog. LOL! Now I know!!! Very pretty! I like that you changed colors to make the DC's pop.
Thank you soon much! I was looking for something that would hold my interest. I have some Picasso yarn and a solid, so I know what I'm going to be working on tonight. 😊
Just scrolling through all your past videos. The thumbnails are a feast for the eyes. As a fellow Brit, I love your voice. Some American accents really grate on my nerves.
Been wanting to buy some of that Picasso yarn and you’ve given me the perfect reason. I absolutely love the stitch and the yarn color combinations on both swatches. It’s so good to see you again 💕
Definitely going into try this! Probably in a solid colour because I’m too lazy to change colours and weave in ends! 🤣 I may try it with a colour changing yarn too. Absolutely love your tutorials.
That is the coolest stitch I have ever seen! 💙 I can't wait to try it out making the blanket. Love the way you do tutorials, nice and slow and very clear instructions. Thanks so much! Have a great evening.
It is beautiful! I have been watching a ton of crochet tutorials, lately. This, by far, is one of the easiest ones I've watched in the last couple of days. I don't think I'll change color every other row. I may just use a color changing yarn for the project. I don't like all of the weaving ends. It's something I definitely want to try!! Thank you for your great explanations!! It's always so easy to follow your tutorials!
Hi Robin I know this is an older post, but I love the vibrancy of this sample and intend to make an afghan from your pattern and colors -- already bought the yarn. I'm having the hardest time trying to decide on a border. The colors create a "busy" pattern and I don't think I want to incorporate yet another pattern - but again, I'm undecided. I would welcome any suggestions from you or anyone else. I don't plan on giving this until next Christmas - so I have plenty of time for comments or suggestions. Thank you, again, for sharing your beautiful work, your patterns, and your awesome tutorials. They are truly lovely. Cheers, Pam😃❣

I love this! I am so glad I found your channel. Thank you so much for all these fantastic tutorials! Definitely trying this today in gray and teal. Making a blanket for my son and daughter in law! I’m going to be changing colors lol.
I am in love with this pattern!!You have made what looks like a way complicated pattern a easy one (for me) you are a excellent teacher very patient explain everything I’m detail! I AM LOVIN IT thank you so much
This stitch I will definitely use. It's very interesting and beautiful. Probably a scarf initially. If it doesn't make me crazy, then baby blanket or shawl. NICE JOB and thanks.
This is beautiful with changing colors. Love the black and multi color! Would love to give it a try when I get some time to concentrate lol 😂 (when grandkids aren’t around and I’m having a good health day lol) Thank you for your tutorials 💖 You are so clear with your directions and very personable 😊 Blessings 💜💜
@Mercourio Thank you so much for replying to my comment and letting me know this. I will give this a try now that I have had some encouragement from a fellow fiber friend. Blessings 💜💜🇺🇸
@hart of crochet. I have chronic fibromyalgia, live next door to my 3 grandkids, and cram full time hours into 3 days at Amazon. It is hard to keep up with all the things I want to make!! Especially if I have to concentrate on a pattern. However, now that I know I am not alone, I will keep on trying, without guilt, to make what I can. I wish I could organize my patterns that are scattered on my phone, and do the projects I really like. I seem to start something, and then find another one I like, and forgot I had 3 others going!! I, then, only finish easy blankets. I will keep you, and others like us, in my thoughts when I am crocheting at 2am half asleep. Take care!!!😄
Hi Robin! I've never used it, I don't think it's complicated at all and I would def try it! As soon as I can afford yarn...I haven't any. Thank you for this tutorial. 💜😊

Dear Val
Te t
This looks lovely and what I like about you is you go slow enough for us to see what you are doing and you go fast enough for us not to say hurry up!! You are a natural!!! Thankyou!!! ❤️
This is actually very beginner friendly~ My daughter made herself a sample swatch of this and now she's ready to complete a throw blanket for herself~ She's never finished anything with crochet lol But this is easy and simple to follow~
I'm impressed with the pattern. And in awe of someone who holds their yarn and hook like I do!
Finally... someone who holds their yarn in their fingers like I do!!! Love this pattern...... it's a simple stitch for me, as most of my afghans are made of these 2 stitches. Live the black background with the variegated colors!!!

If you were into fringing then it might be OK? But yeah, it drives me nuts too LMAO 🤣 The things we do to ourselves huh?
Yeah, I reckon I’m into fringe on projects. I actually want to make myself a blanket with this stitch & the only way it would happen is if I did fringe instead of weaving the millions of ends 😂
I am going to use the ends as part of a fringe so I can avoid sewing them in. 😁😁
To avoid the ends, you could use 2 balls of yarn of every color. You'd have a lot of balls hanging on the work, but it also saves some yarn.
after alot of pausing and going back a few times, l think l have got it, but l am only brave enough to make some dish cloths so far , l am very happy you don't talk alot and mess me up so thank you forthat as well as this stitch. cheers

Love it. But for me I would carry the colors up and do a simple border. I hate sewing in ends. 😁
I also will carry the black color up the sides--
Awesome stitch! Thanks Robin! I pray you are blessed during this holiday season and ALWAYS!! 🙏
Thank you so much Sally, you too! 🥰🎄
I absolutely love this! The two colors is what draws me to it. I will be making this multiple times.

I'd rather sew in ends than bother with a border because I'm am lazy and like my blankets naked 😂😂😂
I actually think a black border would really suit
@@babs5968 🤔 I think the black border would actually accentuate the DC2TOG even more. I really like your idea 💡👍🏼
That’s what I was thinking too Hilda😊😊😊
omgoodness, this pattern is for my new project.. Great demo.
so beautiful 🥺🥰 probably would be really good for a scarf since you could just leave all the ends as some nice fringe!
Hi Robin, love this stitch I have started a queen blanket in cream and black. Thank you 😊
