I just love Protake for the fact that it has log profile that I can use on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. If I’m shooting in rec 709, I go for black magic app. These two apps are my favorite of all times. The one disadvantage I find with Protake is that it gets to heat up the phone so fast in a short period of recoding 4K videos. Thanks for this review 👏
Testing BeastCam quite a bit myself, I find you really suffer when using their stabilization, or even Resolve's versus Apple's built in App. Love the ability to lock white balancing, adjust exposure...., but having smooth footage without the jitters and shakes is even more valuable to me than the occasional white balance shift or slight improvement of higher bit rates BeastCam offers. For fixed camera video or photos, Beastcam is very useful. Once moving, however, the technical advantages don't make up for Apple's built in stabe wizardy IMO.
Wait for Android 15 release before make the Android video. They will alow 3rd party apps to access all camera functions. And more, by the end of the year, Blackmagic will release an app for Android.

If Apple add a pro/expert mode in the default camera app for the iPhone 16 series, it would be great.
