I adopted a cat today! She is one year old and I was leaving her to stay on the other side of my room and I was gonna leave her be, but then a few minutes later she just came over and was already giving me loads affection! God, she’s just so darn sweet and super cute, I already love her so very much :3
@@MsNovazz well if you really want a cat, then I reccomend a cat that doesnt need lots of attention, and can be home alone for longer periods of time. They say theres a dog breed for everyone- and there no difference with cats!
I have my adopted 3 year old kitty 95 days ago today. So far, I’ve gone to the Vet 3 times, called the Vet about six times, at first had a melt-down almost every day thinking I was not doing anything right, and generally was having panic attacks! Got meds but never took them. Just kept working through my anxiety and now, we are doing so well. She’s wonderful, unpredictable and fabulous! I don’t remember my life before her. Am a 84 year old widow, no children and completely in love with my girl Coco. We are one!

I wouldn't recommend putting a litter box in a corner. They like several escape options. I'd say that it would be better to keep it in a place where they can have at least three escape options.
Astral Each Cat is different. I've had Many many Cats. Some are flustered or upset when wagging their tail fast and the look in their face tells a lot. Wanting to attack a toy or another Cat, yes fast strong wagging does display annoyance. Just pet your Cat softly to calm..

Also, I've seen a lot of videos saying they need a scratching pole, but I already bought a cardboard scratching board that is large, and wavy and can be stood up. Is this ok? Or should I get a scratching post as well? Is there a difference?

I got a new cat yesterday and it ran under the couch my whole family (well the part of my family that was home) was trying to get her out, we put her in the bathroom so she wouldn't run off but I sat in there with it petting it, and cradling it (not on it's back most cats hate that) and read a book and she would fall asleep but when she woke up she would run off out of my lap and behind the toilet. But after a few hours later I was holding her then my stepdad came in held her for a few seconds then set her down, she then ran behind the toilet, and I pulled my book and she started to slowly step towards me and then she crawled into my lap. I was overjoyed, and when we were all in there I think everyone was scaring her on accident and at first I looked around and couldn't find her and I looked at my feet and she was sitting in between my feet and was looking up at me. But overall Thank for the new tips! Some of then I already did so that's relieving.

i just got a new cat, currently we’re chilling in my room. we have another cat and i’m nervous for them to get to know each other. i can’t wait for a month or two when he’s better with our home edit: he’s fully adjusted now! they still fight a little but it’s much better now

my new kittens have adjusted to everything around the house except me. they always run away from me and never let me pick them up. i give them treats and don’t bother them unless i very gently give them my finger to sniff before i scratch their head. and sometimes they just scratch me or even bite me so i rarely do anything. it makes me really sad lol.

I would be grateful if you could help please. My father wanted an almost 2 year old siamese cat. The cat he took was living in a house with 2 people and 7 other cats of his breed. The day he adopted him, he put him temporarily in a smaller house near his with a female feral cat he had, because he didn't want him to be alone. He was 2 and a half days hidden at the house without eating or drinking at all. Eventually my father returned him, but he wants so much to adopt him, and wants to try again. Please if anyone has some advise I would be grateful if they could share with me.
Otaku hajimemashita well for starters dont just force your new cat into a unknown location with a unfamiliar (feral) cat. Like the video says when adopting a cat start them off in a single room where they can be alone and take the time to adjust to their new surroundings. I think putting a cat together with a feral one isn't that great of a idea in general, though. If your dad doesn't want the cat to be lonely he should just adopt two that already know each other together, especially since Siamese are typically a very social breed so unless he has the time to constantly socialize with the cat it's gonna need a friend. Just preferably not a feral one.

Hi Snatombi Devi. Thank you for your question; if you've got an outside kitty, we recommend creating a safe space for her (a shelter of sorts), complete with bedding, food, and water. Be sure to keep this area clean for her, and try sitting outside with her while she is around so she can get used to you. Try offering her treats, and when she is ready, you may try to pet her. Eventually, she may just warm up! If you are able, we also recommend taking her to see a veterinarian to ensure she is spayed and in good health. We wish you two the best!

My brother and i just got two cats yesterday night. His was wary but still eat the cat food and drink. But mine doesn't want to eat or even drink. I thought bringing back home two should be okay since they have company. But mine is really not opening herself up. Shes just hides in a corner, being all wary and all. What can i do to make her comfy?

Hi Nomi, we recommend contacting your local humane society or rescue group who can give you tips to make sure that the kitten has actually been separated from its mother instead of just waiting for her to return.

I might get a cat that used to be with my mom's friends daughter who loved him very much and he's still a kitten and I want to make sure he's okay and I'm scared he'll miss the old owner too much he woukd just hide and not eat (hasn't happened just being prepared for the worst) so any, advice? I would be grateful if you could help please. My father wanted an almost 2 year old siamese cat. The cat he took was living in a house with 2 people and 7 other cats of his breed. The day he adopted him, he put him temporarily in a smaller house near his with a female feral cat he had, because he didn't want him to be alone. He was 2 and a half days hidden at the house without eating or drinking at all. Eventually my father returned him, but he wants so much to adopt him, and wants to try again. Please if anyone has some advise I would be grateful if they could share with me.
Otaku hajimemashita well for starters dont just force your new cat into a unknown location with a unfamiliar (feral) cat. Like the video says when adopting a cat start them off in a single room where they can be alone and take the time to adjust to their new surroundings. I think putting a cat together with a feral one isn't that great of a idea in general, though. If your dad doesn't want the cat to be lonely he should just adopt two that already know each other together, especially since Siamese are typically a very social breed so unless he has the time to constantly socialize with the cat it's gonna need a friend. Just preferably not a feral one.

Hi Snatombi Devi. Thank you for your question; if you've got an outside kitty, we recommend creating a safe space for her (a shelter of sorts), complete with bedding, food, and water. Be sure to keep this area clean for her, and try sitting outside with her while she is around so she can get used to you. Try offering her treats, and when she is ready, you may try to pet her. Eventually, she may just warm up! If you are able, we also recommend taking her to see a veterinarian to ensure she is spayed and in good health. We wish you two the best!
