This has to be one of favorite games of all time in terms of personal enjoyment. I find myself going back to it even though I’ve played it a million times. The world building is so good it just offers the perfect escape.
BMD @1:44:15 those dog/howling sounds are actually the sounds of Fast Zombies in the distance. They do howl and whenever you hear those, fast zombies are usually not far away
I'm really glad that you're enjoying the heck out of your Helf-Life 2 walkthrough/playthrough BMD, I've never played the game before and I just can't seem to get into it as much as I'd like to. 😢 Maybe I'm just having a bad week....lol Just found out i have Strep throat so, there's the cause....lol
The watermelon sighting and the author of the GameFAQs guide here is a very special treat. I can see this series of streams as your most useful side-reference if you plan to revise the HL2 walkthrough. This is why HL2 is so timeless; you learn some new things about it every year that passes. Coming back to the game after putting it aside for a few years myself, I have discovered a lot more things here over the past week than I expected. I thought I had a good memory of things I already knew, but my experience this past week is on a whole new level.
It is amazing how much you can learn from a game that was released 20 years ago, even if you thought you knew everything already. Good to have you here as always, tornado.
Can’t wait to pick up the art book in 2025 as well, the original one is ridiculously expensive. So glad they decided to rerelease it because it is awesome.
There is an easier strategy to get on that dumpster with the water melon and the frag grenade: You can actually jump on the "wrecked" fence at 2:26:49 and walk along it until you reach the end from where you can easily jump on the dumpster. Oh, and on top of the blue dumpster you are facing at 2:27:10, there are some magnum bullets. They should be accessible in a similar way. Using these tips, you should have an easier time showing those once you redo your walkthrough. :)
That was fun as always. I blame work for making me leave early again today. I would have told you to walk/run along the fence and jump across to the blue dumpster. No need to stack barrels/boxes. I always thought that was the strangest place to put a melon. One of the devs must have been bored or working late on the game... Then the author of the old gamefaq's guide you used shows up during the stream? Holy shit, small world! This was awesome, great stream bud!
the game was a masterpiece utnil they destroy it with this shity update... with this crap game won't even start anymore.. and they don+t give a damn to fix it.. i am slowly in proces to delete this crapy game for good.. 20 anny my ass..
If it doesn't run for you, you can always revert it back to the 'steam_legacy' version by right clicking the game on steam and selecting properties and then betas. There is absolutely no requirement to have the anniversary update installed even though I think it is a good update!
@@SourceMaster21 they should do that in the first place.. and not against your will. that shitty update is pointless. this game is no longer on steam. black messa ill kept until will work.. blue shift and oposing force i will not touch it. had enouh of this modern tech that is soooo crapy.

I never played Half Life or even seen any gameplay. This was the first time and I am curious, I need to try this game :).
