  • Last month saw another key milestone for Fab 34 - Intel’s new fab development in Ireland. The first EUV lithography system, a key enabler of Intel 4 process technology, arrived to the new fab. This system, made by Dutch manufacturer ASML, is arguably the most complicated piece of machinery humans have ever built and it heralds an important moment for the installation phase of the Leixlip project.

The content is off the chart impressive, the technology is mind blowing.

Yeah, shame intel is so anti-consumer by spamming different backwards incompatible cpu sockets every single year.

Congrats. Your counterpart TSMC has been using EUV for a while now. Looking forward to Meteor Lake and beyond! Intel 4 can’t arrive soon enough… AMD is about to launch Zen 4, and Apple will launch M2. Looking forward to seeing what Intel can do. Only thing I will suggest to you is to improve performance per watt! Alder Lake’s performance is great but it consumes hella WATTS to do so.

Trial production takes 1 year, so Intel will have to wait at least until 2023 Q2 to mass-produce intel4 process chips

America really puts Ireland's technology to shame. If it wasn't for the USA, UK and Eu, Ireland would be like Romania.

The ASML machine is Dutch / German made, not U.S.
