    Do the same here in CO, proven method heavy following heavy, doesn't work 100% but I always take my detector plus great for crevicing, detector picked up lead shot, and gold was soon to follow underneath! Great video as always!

    Glad to see Griz. In the beginning there I thought he was settling in to take a deuce but he was just sitting down. LOL good video man I do that same thing. Most gold here's to small to pick up with a detector at least where I am.

    I try to explain to people that a gold detector doesn't find "gold" necessarily, but rather concentrations of heavy metal minerals that may be with gold.

      I was so frustrated trying to make my detector ignore the pockets of black sand but then I had an epiphany moment… more of a metal detectorist than prospector but tend to find things stratified by size and weight along beaches only wonder how much gold has passed through my hand

  • @ferdburphel2076
    @ferdburphel2076 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Another tool in the pouch! I can't help but wonder if there's good gold in the top layer of grass on the inside bends that are lower in height where the flood gold can hit the grass and fall? Thats what we've learned in our situation a few thousand miles away....then again my toilet spins opposite of yours so now we're all bunched up🤔🙃

    Interesting idea Chris, I’ve got a $600 Garret and so far have only gone to Qld designated fossicking areas with results so far of shotgun pellets a couple of nails and assorted wire. 😂😂 & the creeks were as dry as a dust bowl.

    Most of the gold I'm finding is because of the bullets and metal pieces that I found with my metal detectors. I always dig the areas where the heavier things drop out. After a few feet of digging gravel my 1000 picked up a. 8gr Nugget. There's been 5gr of fines taken from this spot. 👀⛏🤠🌵

    What you should try to do, if the ground is that rich in gold, is pull a 24 hour high banking set up. Set up camp around the creek and put up stage lights for when it gets dark, and see how much gold you can get in 24 hours.

    Ok so 1:03..1:06..the ground your detecting is already disturbed, perhaps that was staged and 1:06 the way the camera is positioned seems to strategically place is hide the view of where your digging...hmmm.....

    • @VoGusProspecting
      @VoGusProspecting  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, as I said, i went to an area I've been working. So there's lots of ground disturbance already.
      The method I use is pulling back the dirt and rock to reveal the gold specimens. Therefore, more ground disturbance.
      Just remember, you're seeing 5 seconds of a 2 or 4 minute clip.
      Its not faked. I've never faked a video, I've no need to. And if I was to I'd find a lot more gold than a 0.10 bit.
