Haruka, the original crossdressing trickster. In Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Moon's defense, they thought she was a cute guy and didn't know he was really a she. Afterwards, they were impressed with how cool and mature Haruka and Michelle were for their ages. Sailor Moon S was one of my favorite Sailor Moon Seasons. It was also one of the darkest seasons of the anime.
I like the Sailor Manga and Crystal better because it show that Uranus, Neptune and Pluto made a bunch of mistakes that they thought they doing the right thing but they realized it was wrong that will lead to unintentional consequences for instance they shouldn't have keep this a secret to Sailor Moon and others about there true mission about their three talismans that they use back at Silver Millennium to summon Sailor Saturn that destroy the Moon Kingdom then they told Sailor Moon and other they going to kill Hotaru but Sailor Moon denied this not kill a innocent life and Uranus, Neptune and Pluto cannot work together with and other as friend because they realize she will the earth in danger but then when Uranus, Neptune and Pluto find out that Sailor Moon the other are being ambush and trap by the enemy that they realize that this was wrong about not work together as friends because they are the ones how but then in danger and if the go kill Hotaru they'll become like the Dead Busters so this another mistake Uranus, Neptune and Pluto should have listened to Sailor Moon about working together as friend and save Hotaru without killing her so they go fix this by saving Sailor Moon and others by doing the right thing and Uranus said to Sailor Moon we will never abandoned you how could we, we always wanna fight by you side and is truly right, and that's what Serenity gives Uranus, Neptune and Pluto a sign to Accept the things you cannot change, have the courage to change the thing you can and have the wisdom to know the difference.
Usagi, Sailor moon, was initially confused alongside Sailor Venus, Minako, they even followed Haruka and Michiru around Makoto, Jupiter, knew Haruka was a woman when she was almost ran over. In the episode Makoto says that she admires Haruka because she is stoic, elegant but also strong and dresses however she likes and still be herself. So Makoto wants to be like Haruka because she's insecure about herself, because she feels she's too tall and too strong and not feminine enough
Also had the only monster in the whole series that showed concern and kindness to a human (in this case it was Hotaru), the Daimon with the stripped shirt and the shell. The Daimon even asked if Hotaru wanted to go to the hospital.

@@darkhunter5293 I watched Crystal numerous times perhaps because it's much shorter. It will always be far shorter since it cut out the filler. Though Crystal feels way too fast but the original anime feels way too slow and tampers far too much with the manga story. All in all there is no perfect Sailor Moon experience same with Dragon Ball/Z/Kai The former two need a redub including the movies. Viz took care of that with the classic Sailor Moon anime and movies so why not Funimation? Their old dubs are so bad and inaccurate to the source material. Kai corrected a lot of it but I want that for the original two (anime) series and movies too.

Makoto was never gay for Haruka. She idolized her. By the end of the episode, it was clear she was not in love with her, but rather that she saw in Haruka the woman Haruka wanted to be "cool".

Season 5 and 3 are the best in my opinion.
Favorite season. Incidentally, this one reminds me of the Fate franchise with all their talk about a Holy Grail and soul devouring.
I always hated how they drew the eyes sometimes in the third season. They looked like my drawings of anime in elementary school.

I'd highly suggest watching both the original and the 2014 reboot, plus all the movies.
