Lecture 8368. Taekwondo's Future Direction: Centralization vs. Decentralization (1_2) [JUNGBUB TALK]

Question: I will ask about the future direction of Taekwondo. As you have explained, if we were to sum it up in one word about Taekwondo, it would be 'stagnant'. Taekwondo associations and administrative agencies appear to be in disarray. Therefore, Taekwondo practitioners say there is no true senior master to guide as central figure. In the meantime, they have become decentralized from their association to strengthen their systems. As a result, some people have incorporated other modalities such kendo, judo, jiu-jitsu, fencing, and meditation with Taekwondo. However, individual centers cannot work together due to their inconsistent curriculum. Grand Master, I ask for your guidance on whether they should unite again in a centralized structure or go in the direction of decentralization in order for the Taekwondo to shift to a new paradigm.
