Exactly what I wanted to know. Excellent Video. Thank you. I'm going to use Braided Expandable Sleeving for the first time. A mistake I did is to buy 5 metres of sleeve for a 5 metre cable. 'A slight snug fit (which I want) may create a lateral expansion reducing the length of the sleeve', was something I hadn't thought of. Let me hope that it will still be sufficient as I will be cutting open the ends of the cable for connectors. It is a 35mm diameter power cable of which a total of around 15cm will go into cabinets. So I may have a margin. Do you think a margin of 15 cm will be sufficient?
I measured 8' of the braid for my wire but when I got it on it was only 7.5' because it shrunk when expanded. How do you measure the 3/8" so you get the correct finished length?
Nice video. Can I use a 4mm cable sleeve with a power AC cable (external dimensions: 6x4mm - a sort of flat cable, not round)? I want to order some sleeve from eBay and I am afraid of that cannot fit on the cable, even with sleeve expand
Just watched someone do a braided sleeving job with a hot air gun and it looks awful / unprofessional. The need to use a hot knife for a proper install is not obvious to everyone. Great video presentation!

That massive ventilation pipe is laugh out loud funny.
@@thomaslahr9022 nobody wants to inhale toxic fumes unless you're on drugs.

I gotta split PET sleeving all the way down the middle. It’s gonna be a pain in the ass.
Can I literally just put a knife on the stove and make it hot and cut it with that?
If the knife can get hot enough then it would probably work.
@@WireCare thanks. I was worried it might get too hot. Cuz it will be right on the stove, in the fire.
@@SeymourKitty Yeah, I'm sure it could get very hot. We've never done this so just be careful not to get burned.
lol overkill with the ventilation downpipe.
It's a Hot knife it gets hot lol
oh my lord
i'm actually legit scared on behalf of the children of millennials.
What?
