What is Dreamlight Valley?
Disney Dreamlight Valley is a life sim game similar to games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. In it, you'll help your favorite Disney characters re-build Dreamlight Valley and bring it back to its former glory. A helpful thing to know is that when crafting or cooking it will allow you to use ingredients and materials from any of your chests and your house storage. This is nice as you dont have to go find stored items when you want to craft

Yeah, "My Time at Portia" allows you to name the chests you craft - it's such a helpful organisational feature!

It annoys me how the chests you can craft only have 2 rows, when they've got 6 total. Like let us upgrade them, or craft more expensive ones which have more room

Those vintage chests are all connected just like in Animal Crossing. You can buy them from Scrooge and place one in each biome. Put an item in one, that item shows up in all. Excellent way to offload items in a pinch or “transport” them from one biome to another without burning backpack space.
I discovered the storage chest early on and started adding outside my house. Love your idea of adding a chest to each area with the critters favorite food. I'm adding that to my village today. Great video.
I placed chests near all of my crops in every biome so I can store and sell the crops and if I need to cook something they’re all in a chest so I can use it and not have to go and grab it and come back to cook it. But I do hope sometime we can upgrade them, or have more spaces 😭
if it's in storage, you don't need to have it in your pocket inventory to use it. NO matter what chest it's in, you can stand at a cooking or craft station and use the materials.

Quick tip also if you put a chest in your household inventory then you can buy them from Scrooge for 1200 coins.
Same with the big chest, but it works like an ender chest in Minecraft :)

Probably said time and time again in the comments, I haven't gone through yet. But I REAALLY hope the storage items bought at scrooge's store at SOME point become actual storage units. I was very disappointed when I first purchased a fridge thinking that it'd be great to have an actual kitchen with a fridge I can store food in only to learn it doesn't do that.

If it helps anyone, the safe you get from Scrooge at level 10 friendship, works the same as the chests you craft, but you can just purchase more of the safe's from Scrooge rather than crafting a ton of chests
Sometimes, it's easier to buy more storage than to make it

Chest in each area to store flowers criter food and spices chest by kristoves stall each full with one mat. Chest by each fruit patch i haves gathered in one place. Chest by wall as garden and the fishing boat.
is there a control key where you can deposit all your inventory items in chest?
When I expanded my house I lost two of the chests I had against the wall where the new door was placed. I can't find them anywhere. I can see that I still have the items that were stored when I go to cook but I cannot manage them at all. Does anyone know where the may have gone to?s
I was frustrated to find none of the furniture objects are interactive (except the radio (so far)). I was so excited to buy an arcade game but then it did nothing :(

I keep flowers in my inventary but there's so many and i pick them up often since it's usually a favorite gift for characters...
Just so y’all know if you have at least one storage chest in your inventory you can order more from Scrooge so that you don’t have to use your materials to craft them, this goes for any furniture item, you can only order the ones you have in your inventory 😊

I barely use my house and I’ve expanded all the rooms, still got a bit left to do for the chest. I might just put everything on the floor in my house.
Where on earth can u get those chests I cannot find it at all anywhere to make them only ones I can make is small ones and I even up graded my house 2x. And they aren't in the store either I even expand my inventory
it's the old chests, they never had small medium or large chests so annoyed we can't buy bigger chests 🤷♂️
How do I upgrade the backpack space (what I'm carrying on me)?
There's an "Expand" button but each time you use it, it costs a bit more.

By going to the sign that has Scrooge with a hammer next to him on it.
I made my own storage room in my house filled with chests.

I can’t place anything in the village it keeps saying “ village object limit reached “ can anyone tell me what that means and what to do?
I’m assuming that means you’ve put the max allowed items in the village. Like when you are in the furniture mode at the top right mine says 294/600 but if I add a chair to the map it is 295/600 maybe time to pick some stuff up.

Super Tip: just make everything out of chests. Parks, gardens, fences, houses, lofts, sheds, whatever you want. Just make it out of Chests, heck, make the entire village out of chests!
