Austerity measures are the most important aspect to reduce expenses. The so called leaders and establishment should take steps to cut their inhuman perks and benefits. Look at Afghanistan, with almost no export and financial assistance, still Taliban's regime is surviving on the basis of austerity measures.
Only taxation in a flawed & overburden economic situation will deteriorate the business environment and the repercussions will be unbearable for the so called leaders and establishment.
