True that.. In all my childhood I have to share my birthday with my siblings on the same day and the same cake.. It's a nice thought to have a seperate birthday
Why wouldn’t someone keep birthdays separate? Unless they are twins or more then it’s just common sense to celebrate each child on their actual birthday isn’t it?
@@Orangejuice2313 That's what I've always thought. I think if families are not well off and must save, then in order for each child to have a birthday party, they might have to combine some of them.
@@Orangejuice2313 It's much more convenient since my siblings and I have birthdays in the same month or like close birthday with each other.. Like July and August
@@minxbella9342 I have 2 daughter whose birthdays are in the same week, it has never ever occurred to me not to celebrate each child on the day they was born
My parents were raised during the Great Depression and didn’t have birthday parties. So when my brother and I came along in 1955 and 1956, (Irish twins-we share the same birthday one year apart) we were fortunate to each get a small cake and one or two gifts. My mother would buy one cake mix and divide it in two, making two small cakes. Mine would have pink frosting and his would have blue.
We never minded sharing a birthday since that’s the way it was. It was special because didn’t have much, but got to share our special day together. If we had been born a day apart I’m sure we would have had two separate “celebrations”.
My goodness. I still remember the day they arrived and saw their awesome room for the first time. Growing up so fast!
I would definitely have a party week with 3 separate parties! They each deserve a special party just for them. And so did YOU, Peter, when you were growing up. I hope we can throw up BIG birthday parties on YOUR birthday --- I would love to see that.

My girls birthdays are on the 21st and 23 of December. It’s a stressful time but everyone deserves their Special day. 🥳😁💖
Oh that would be so stressful! My son’s is the day after Halloween and he hates Halloween so spends all of it waiting for his birthday! I’ve never been able to enjoy Halloween since he was born. 😂
My son was due on Christmas Day, so I was relieved he hung on a little longer and was born in early January! 😅
Peter, you could have taken the easy route and had one birthday for all three at once. But you are an amazing dad and celebrate each one individually!!! You go dad!!! 😘❤️🎂

In my family we call it Birthday season. lol I start it off at the end of January and my Mother in Law ends it February 17. My three girls are February 1,4 and 11th and they have never celebrated together. I did cheat one year and decorated the house for the birthdays for half of the month with no complaints! My birthday and my 2 brothers were all a week apart in September..17th..23rd and 30th..my mother made each of us a cake..so for three weeks we each had a chocolate cake..🎉🎂

@@indigohalo3421 - I'm in NC where college basketball is huge. I had a friend at work with 2 siblings who all had end of December bdays and she always joked her parents really enjoyed the final 4 every year.
2 of my 4 brothers, and I have April b' days, a week apart. Eldest brother, the 5 th, me the 12th, youngest brother the 19th!, Plus, most years Easter fell close to, and sometimes on the day of, someone's birthday. 3 birthdays, and Easter for 5 kids isn't cheap!

Even natural parents have to learn what they like as their tastes change as they get older.
It's kind of an advantage to have Isabella and Luke's birthdays close together. He might have been jealous thet she got to go out for lunch, but his turn is coming up very soon. You just have to be sure that he gets the same options she had so they can customize their days to do what they each like best. Hope Anthony also has a wonderful day!
I sure would have all 3 birthday celebrations in one day! You could just decorate with 3 different themes in different rooms like say one in the kitchen, another in the dinner area and another in the family room .
Yes, I think as a parent this would be a dream. My sister and I are about 40 days apart, we always had joint parties growing up, somewhere in the middle. And since hers is in June, that's just hard because kids are all out doing their own thing. So it would be a near the end of the school year joint party. I was never recentful of having to share it with her.... I mean, I'm resentful she's mean and still is at 50... but that's another story! The joint parties are easier, so do them!!

Be encouraged you are doing a great job. I know it’s hard. I love that you want to make your kids happy even if you don’t understand and know how because you don’t grow up doing it but you learn and make them feel good. Peter I think everyone does birthdays and holiday planning last minute. At least we do in my family.
Friends of my have triplets. Every year they have 4 parties for the children. One on the birthday, for the grandparents, uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces. In the 3 weeks after the birthday has every triplet his own party with his own friends. Every year is an other triplet the first who has his own party.
As inconvenient as it is, and extra work, keep their birthday's separate....acknowledge their own special day....given their background they need that...they need to know they're special and that they are never going anywhere else....that is until they're 18 and you kick them out HAHA!! JK....I'm sure once they are grown and move out, that Peter would open the door for them to come home if/when needed...or has friends or family they could go to....gotta love 'em while they're that age, before you know it you blink and they're teenagers and know everything, and don't want hugs, kisses, etc.
Dang, Luke's my kind of kid....Hot Wheels....well for me its both Hot Wheels and Matchbox. I have a couple hundred of each and still collect them occasionally, but mostly older classics and muscle cars.

My two boys have same week birthday. One is the June 7 the other June 10th. 2 years different, we use to always celebrate the together until the oldest was 15. Today they are 21 and 24 years old.

I'm curious, if anyone can answer why the kids have different individual names? I know the original names were Skylar and Ryder but after the adoption the kids chose their names, Isabella and Luke but I noticed the kids referred to Isabella as Brenlyn. Also is the baby Bella or Emma? Just thought I'd ask, to catch up. Enjoy the festivities guys.

I love the idea of having your OWN party, especially when you have been in foster care.
As an adult when I became a mom my 5/5 bday got shoved in with Mother’s Day. Boooooo!
Now that my kids are grown (one still in college) I buy my own gluten free cake mix and dairy free ice cream so I get to have it 2 weeks in a row. Hahaha
