    Just installed Fit was perfect. Watched a you tube video on installing them was very good. Easy Install Came with wiring harness for the DHL option. Will need to purchase a fuss tap separately does not come with kit. The LED are very bright. You get what you pay for

    Why tap into the blower motor relay coil (Fuse 50)?? Love these headlights btw... just finished installing!

    Will the wiring setup be the same for the LED version utilizing the factory wiring harness and connect directly to LED connectors? Will the LED light output be noticeably greater then the factory bulbs?

    I would appreciate knowing how to get both the high and low beams to be on at the same time like in this video.

      @@ypsisteve Clearly you don't know anything about headlights. An Alpharex engineer finally responded to an email I sent them. They informed me the LUXX series is the one in the video and it does in fact legally operate both high an low beams at the same time. The reason the Pro series (the ones I purchased) don't is because of the electrical current load using both high and low beam h7 incandescent bulbs at the same time would overload the factory wiring. For the record my 2014 Toyota 4runner and many other oem headlights operate both high and low beams at the same time. No brightbox required!

      @@brianh5393 You are right I don't know anything about headlights. Here is what CFR Title 49 says.
      S.5.5.1Each vehicle shall have a means of switching between lower and upper beams that conforms to SAE Recommended Practice J564a Headlamp Beam Switching, April 1964 or to SAE Recommended Practice J565b, Semi-Automatic Headlamp Beam Switching Devices, February 1969. Except as provided in S5.5.8, the lower and upper beams shall not be energized simultaneously except momentarily for temporary signalling purposes or during switching between beams.

      Some lights can operate high and low at the same time but they have to specifically marked to do so. That is further in the CFR. The overwhelming majority of lights are not so marked in the US and thus it is not legal to convert a light not designed to be upper and lower at the same time to now operate with both upper and lower on at the same time on public streets. Off-road is permitted at any time.

    Isn’t fuse location 50 for the blower motor? Why would you tap the drl to that?

    I'm having an issue where my blinkers for these headlights were working then they just stopped working. The side marker and rear lights still blink but they blink fast and nothing lights up on the new headlights. I have replaced the corresponding fuzes and relays to make sure those were not the issue and the headlight blinkers are still not working, please let me know what else it could be.

  • @nigelgatone353
    @nigelgatone353 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The wiring harness which connects to battery with the grey wire was not necessary on my 2011 f250. The DRLs run just fine without it. Kinda confused by this?

      I think it’s in case you have actual daytime running lights…. They will turn on with out parking lights with that harness tapped into the drl circuit. Otherwise the drl will turn on when you turn on the headlight. My 08 does not have drls so I have nothing to tap that too…. So they will just come on when I turn on the parking lights.
