The exotic primary damage bonus is a separate multiplier so the change is 1.3/1.4. So for exotic pulses it's going to be a multiplier of 1.38 * (1.3 / 1.4) = 1.28, aka a net 28% buff to minors.
I second the thankyou, as a looter shooter player i know all to well what multiplicative verse additive means, but unfortunately not the math behind it, math isn't my strong point. Also with most looter or mmo shooter games gear buffs have to be taken into consideration. And diminishing returns. Its alot to get the head around especially if math isn't your strong point, thus i appreciate the comment, thankyou.
@@digitaldogs233 You're welcome. In Destiny 2, AFAICT, pretty much every buff is multiplicative, including things like spec mods. Off the top of my head, the only things that are additive are stacks of the _same_ buff (like surge mods). Edit: And even then, surge mods aren't really additive, x1 = 10%, x2 = 17%, x3 = 22%, so each level is technically its own bonus, rather than you just getting a flat 10% or something per level.
I'm glad the fusions with chill clip are getting fixed. Deliverance and Auravandil will be a lot better. Really curious to see how good Cerebus will be.
I know I'm gonna be using it when Final Shape drops. The damage boost of Focus Fire is huge, around 80% I think. This is gonna make it great for add clear and tearing down structures.
But it says: "In addition to compensating for the removal os spec mods" And at the beginning something like "We incorporated the mods into the base similar to the firefly mod" Why is everybody assuming that all weapons just gut a straight 7-10% dmg nerf?
This was a really nice, easy-to-digest breakdown of a lot of the changes to weapon damage. There's so many changes coming that it's been hard to get my head around what's happening to everything. Really appreciated this video!
Between the scout damage buffs and the stasis reworks I'm REALLY excited to see how Wicked Implement performs, seems like you're going to constantly be able to be slowing and shattering with frost armor up from the tracking stasis shards, add in the artifact perks of unstop scout and stasis precision hits sends out a slowing blast (with headstone as the catalyst) it should be nutty for ad clear
Bad ju ju was the first excotic i got in game. Dragons breath i got because of one of the DLCs i got and im thinking nightfall was the special addition or something like that. But because Bad ju ju was my first excotic that gun has a place in my heart, and really enjoyed using it.
Honestly quite intrigued to see how Truth and Colony will perform. They're weapons I've never even considered taking out of my vault because of how bad they supposedly were, so getting a reason to try them out is certainly going to be very interesting, even if they're not meta!
Having 7% buff to swords is nice, even though they're missing the .7% because backup mag increases swords total reserves, so it's more ammo for more damage
Side note though linears are gaining damage because you can add backup mag which wouldn't gain a big amount of DPS but you would gain overall total damage
backup mag doesn’t increase your reserves, therefore it won’t increase your total damage, it just increases your dps over a magazine by making so you can shoot more shots before reloading. It is nice for LFRs with ammo economy perks like fourth times the charm and rewind (Cataclysmic, Briar’s Contempt etc) because an extra shot or two in the mag might allow you one more proc of FTTC for example
Interesting to learn this. I made my first solar build and so far i like it with hunter. Im also getting into pvp because for looter shooters this games pvp is so fun, as long as you keep with your team your very strong. And talking about solar i picked up the skyburners oath with really good rolls, and i like the "lobs explosive slugs". I also picked up a nice smg called parabellum that also has ok rolls, im not sure what is considered a godly roll yet but ill learn that. Trouble is at moment my weapons are weak, 1810 is the highest ive got. At moment im doing the nightfall campaigns and some are either really hard or really hard lol. So im stuck at levil 6, but im not stressing about it, i just really like this game. But i really should get more involved with the community, at moment i play solo because no one i know really plays this game, theres one guy but hes in usa im uk so our time difference is a pain..any way ill end my book lol, have a great rest of day
I thought that although they are affected by boss spec, they still aren’t bosses. They may be yellow bars, but that’s because they’re ultras, they don’t have the boss icon (hexagon with raid banner icon) and are also able to be finished.
Tizzle, got the snifles too bro? got a cold that's killing me, haha. But ya, I'm looking forward to the great pulse buffs, especially for the good adaptives we have. I've had an adept smite from oryx for a long time now, it'll get to shine. Really happy for the upcoming Necro buffs as well, I love that weapon.
Yeah I am pumped for necro. I ran a marathon and it was cold and rainy. Just from that. Nothing too bad. Feel fine besides a stuffed nose haha hope you get better before TFS
Please do a damage breakdown of Blast Furnace with KT + OFA with enhanced traits verse Outbreak. If BF is better it’ll free up the exotic slot. Thank You 🙏
Tizzle, I have made a build with collective obligation on void titan, however, there is a bug with the exotic pulse where sometimes it won't let you spread the debuffs you collected (which is the whole point, so if it doesn't get fixed it won't be used)
I think one thing you didn't take into account with the enemy spec mods being removed is that now you can use the mag mod and will have a larger mag now so that will help with damage, I'm not sure how much but it will help a little depending on the weapon. Won't help DPS but will help damage per mag.
I don't think there's much sense in getting too caught up in the percentage numbers for DMG, etc since Bungie is also adjusting the power level of the enemies. All that really matters is how it all feels on release. Remember, despite all the sandbox adjustments that came with Lightfall, enemies still hit like a truck on Neomuna and it was a vastly different experience than other patrol locations. I expect the same to ring true in FS.
No I don't think so. I think that is the reason for some of the 7% buffs. To maintain parity after the change. They even say at the start of the article that the changes affect exotics more because they couldn't have a spec mod before. So a 10% buff for an exotic is like a 3% buff for a legendary if you were running a spec mod before
So me and my clan were trying to figure out where Malfeasance come out after these changes but we couldnt figure it out for the life of us. Could you maybe share some insight?
After playing with skyburners oath its not as strong as what i thought, red bars yes one tap, but yellow no, you would have thought a weapon with explosive payload would do alot of dmg, but seems it lacks that with bosses. Shame because it had good roles. Its seems odd in this game the a rocket launcher or a grenade launcher is realy strong, yet explosive as a whole are not particular strong, but thats my uneducated opinion. But strand with the right weapon is extremely strong, and even its "skills" so outway others, again a uneducated opinion, im still learning what builds goes with what weapon as one guy was shooting strand weaves or what ever they are out his gun. I think i really should pay more ettention to the combadium spreed sheet or what ever you use to help make builds, im going on logic but it seems this doesnt always apply lol..
I just want more viable primary void exotics. Graviton has been the go too for far too long, Manticore has been decent but still not quite right. At this point I’d be fine with just giving Hard light some elemental synergy and calling it a day.
Bro you need a math teacher lol 😂 😂 they literally tell you the buff 😂 38% to red bars the rest is 20% general dmg buff 😂 shit not that hard to understand

Champions are now coded as bosses so kinetic weapons wont do extra damage on champs sadly
no. Champs can still be suspended and frozen and the like. So they are not bosses. They just are affected by boss spec. There is a difference
