Good Review!! 👍 I've had RTI A7s & A3s since 2007 being driven by AV Yamaha rxv863 until 2 years ago and now driven by Vincent preamp with emotiva and parasound amplifiers driving them. The difference was night and day and my ears don't hurt anymore. For the price of these you can get fantastic sound from them with high end equipment pushing em and even better if you were to upgrade the capacitors and connectors but it's not worth getting crazy.. for me I'll upgrade to high end audiophile speakers b4 trying to make a Cadillac out of a Buick.. but hey these are awesome speakers for the price I paid and I'll use them in the basement once I upgrade. 💯

I have owned A7’s for some years. They sound pretty good, and when pushed with enough power they sound even better.
They do not, however, measure up to the original 1st studio monitors that were superior to virtually anything up to twice the price back in the 70’s when I bought mine.
Still, for the price, they are pretty damned good.

This is a case of aesthetics being personal taste. I have these speakers. I think they look beautiful. They fit in nicely with our lounge room decor, whereas those white ones would clash horribly. For movies they're great. For music, obviously not hi end but pretty good value given the relatively low price. I enjoyed your review.

Had them since 2017. Great for home theatre. A lot of bass is present but I would say it's also a little bright when turning the volume up. Perhaps it needs a bigger amp to drive it ie 200/ch. Then again I found it better with a 2.1 setup with an active sub woofer.

I have these and he is correct. Give them a 9 out of 10 for home theater setup. Give them a 7 for two speaker music setup. That's not bad considering I got mine at a very good price of $650 for the pair. You want a set of speakers that will do better with music? Go with the Polk R700 but they will cost you $2200. I would give these speakers a 10/10 for both theater and music.
A similar tower design from Polks top of the line would be the Polk L600 at $3500 per pair. They are comparable to high end speakers costing even more!
But I will say that the Polk RTI line is better than the newer budget XT line and about a tie with the Signature Elite line.

how would you compare these to the ES55? I was thinking I might change to them but after this review for theater mostly I do not think I can improve much on the RTi A7 without spending a boatload.

I have had these since 2009 and really enjoyed them but have been thinking of something new and retiring these to a room where I will only listen to music more than my cinema. After this review I am thinking maybe I cannot get a much better speaker even all these years later without spending a really large amount of money. I have these paired with the matchjing CSi A4 center channel and 4 of the FXi A4 surrounds in a 7.1 setup with a Sony ES line amplifier. I was looking at the signature line ES55 but maybe this is still the superior speaker? Would love your thoughts great review.

For 150.00 dollars a pair and in Mint condition, I find them perfect in everyway! LOL!

Do you have the Hertz number on this one.Because I have to set my AVR power to match this speaker.

I have these speaker and like them very much, no ear fatigue. I have not measured the frequency response. According to Polk Audio: -3dB points: 35 Hz to 26,000 Hz. Total freq. response 20 Hz to 27,000 Hz. Sensitivity 89 dB. Mid/Woofer cross-over: 125 Hz. Tweeter/Mid cross-over: 2700 Hz. Hope this helps.
