Solid testing, bru! I find those QYS streamlined always win my PCP shootouts and are there or thereabouts in my springers. I think there are so many variables with springers (and then the shooter), that the pellet consistency becomes a bit trivial beyond the top five pellets. Beyond that you get into batch variance (and I think the H&N Barracuda Match are good here) and it's a slippery slope to insanity! I feel your pain with the cameras, but your efforts were appreciated!
Gotta love a springer for testing skills. You are a great shot as proven many times but even the excellent TX200 is a massive challenge to a guy used to PCP smoothness. Repetition and consistent grip will be well rewarded. Beautiful gun and I love them in laminate too. Well done
Good video Gert i bought a Pro Sport a few months back and the Barracuda 8s seem to work brilliant in it also when i shoot off bags target shooting it can honestly shoot tinny little bug holes at 30 yards 10 shots as well but like you say Springers are a different league to shoot than the pcps, keep up the good work mate 👌.
I know someone always says this, but my HW97 averages around 245 - 8x at 25 yards. My best was 248 - 12x. I use Air Arms 10.4 grain heavies at 825 fps. It also shoots the 8.44 gr pretty well. I shoot from a front and rear rest with a slippery surface on the bags and touch the gun only with my thumb and index finger. No shoulder, and the lightest cheek possible. I let the gun slide back freely. It's amazing to shoot. The TX200 should match that.
If it was mine I’d strip it down (takes all of 5 minutes) clean all the internals and re lube. I use 50/50 STP and silicone oil for the piston seal and molly grease on the spring. Then I would ditch the silencer and put 100 jsb or QYS through it without swapping from one to the other. Or even Baracuda 8. Thanks for all your time doing the videos, it can’t be easy.
Great advice, I am a scaredy cat when it comes to the internals of something I don't have any knowledge of. Will give it another 200 shots and then try and play gun machanic. Afterwards take it to a gun mechanic to fix the stuff I fupped up. lol.
@@AimSmallas you know springers are quite hold sensitive and it takes some mastering, I’ve never really mastered it myself so it will be interesting to follow your journey. Everything you do has to be exactly the same every shot, how you support the forend, shoulder pressure- everything. As I’m sure you are aware there are tons of YT videos about the TX. I would recommend you listen to some from Tony Leach, TBT, and Field Target Master did some interesting videos on his springer trip. As for modifications, other than sorting out the lube (that will help power and consistency) I would leave it standard or at most just a delrin guide to keep the twang down. Your videos are great. I always enjoy watching them and I’m very grateful for all the time you put in. Far better than anything on tv! Hope it all goes well.
Don't rest the front end on a hard rest. It needs to move. I always sit my springer in my hand. Not held, just resting. A totally different experience to shooting a PCP.
Mooi Gert, love your videos. My 2 cents... For 30 meters not bad at all. Buuut... Your front rest might not be allowing the rifle to slide backwards/forwards on recoil, maybe give a lekker bag rest with a soft cloth cover a try. And you have to put it in exactly the same place every time, I use tape to mark the bag to line up with the front stock screws. I also find that I must hold the rear cheek piece to prevent any axial twist on firing. As you rightly say, experiment with holds till you get a good one.
Not at all, bought with my own hard earned money... Wish I had a sponsor, these toys are very expensive. And the money invested to get them to get them where I need them to be is even worse. I like AA guns, they are solid, good build quality and very reliable. The same goes for Daystate, other big name brands don't get that nod from me... I own AA, Daystate, FX, Weighrach and Venturi... some definately don't get the same intro. lol. Thanks for taking the time to make me aware of my biast. I try to stay neutral. I tell it like I experience it.

Springers are no longer my cup of tea, but I do appreciate your always methodical approach to testing and love your channel.

Great vid. Was lucky to find my TX200 .22 pellets within 6 trials and it still loves them 3 years later.

Greetings from Buenos Aires. AA TX-200 quite a nice springer ... ! By the way (my opinion) JSB pellets will never let you down.
Cool you are using a springer.
"My wife does that for me!" Oh. My. GAWD! :D You're hilarious!

Excellent advice thanks, will put a soft cloth over the leather on the front rest , allowing the gun to slide.
Your right about the nut behind the gun 😂 I've had 6 tx's and at 30m there tack drivers. Practice practice practice my friend
Haven't shot a springer in ages, thus I need to get back into grip with it.
Try AA Diablo express 7.87 grains..blue tin over here..most springers prefer lighter pellets and they are very very goood in my tx 200hc.
You need to try JSB Express and the RS pellets also try the JSB 4,53's
Big bouy hmmm. I almost sh...my pants with smile 😂.
Hi Gert, do yourself a favour and try jab 7.87 express you won't be sorry.
Try Express pellets
Bit over the top with the introduction of the gun. Sounds a lot like sponsorship talk to me.

The Pro Sport is nicer and just as good.
