I saw something similar mentioned in the comments....I keep a smallish three drawer plastic organizer on a shelf in my closet. I keep in it all the things I use only when I travel and organize by use. So things such as travel sized body wash, hair products, skin care, etc. Also, wrinkle release spray, travel sized sewing kit, poncho, hand wipes, disinfecting wipes, extra toothbrushes, laundry soap packs, etc. Then when I'm packing, a lot of what I need is right there to grab. I keep a separate shoe box sized plastic container full of all my empty travel sized containers for decanting and several different sized ziploc bags.
I travel a lot for work, but rarely go back to the same place. I pack, putting a complete outfit in a travel cube. I try to wear only garments that are machine washable when I travel. When I get home, I immediately wash and dry the items and put a complete outfit back into the travel cube. White House Black Market and Ann Taylor make beautiful machine washable garments. This saves me a lot of time trying to come up with outfits. In the winter, I rely on the Spanx flare trousers. I fly in jeans on Monday and Friday, and wear 3 pairs of the trousers T W Th. I also try to use up my makeup and skincare samples when traveling.
I have a list of everything I need to travel and where to pack it all. For each trip, I photocopy the list and check the items off as I pack them. I can change items or eliminate items, depending on where I’m going.
In October we took two trips a week apart. When we returned from the first weekend trip I took pictures of products: morning, evening and hair and body products. Made packing for the next trip super easy. Most importantly, I paired down the amount of products. Win, Win!!! I might order your bag though. Thanks.
Lol 😂 30 seconds in and I’m cracking up!!! Your comment about the bathroom…then the voiceover….hilarious!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!! 🥰 I totally bought this bag in the large and medium sizes totally your fault!! I used the large one to store my toiletries and skincare and the medium one for makeup mainly 70 lip glosses lol and also small random things that I don’t want lost like qtips, bandaids.
Great tip about working out of your toiletry bag a few days before the trip. I bought this toiletry bag based on your recommendation and it has been great! I love that I can hang it up in the bathroom and workout of it when there’s limited counter space.
Thank you Marnie this was sooo helpful! First the suggestion to pack two days before and use the products out of the bag to see if you’ve forgotten anything…brilliant! Then the step by step what you pack…also sooo helpful! I travel a lot and it always stresses me out so much to pack the toiletries, this makes it much more lesss stressful.
Yay a packing vid from Marnie! I love to rewatch those packing toiletry vids you did all those years ago when you went to Scotland. I never get tired of them. Also the one where you had the hold me bag and went to Houston. Thanks for posting this one!
Love this kind of video! Of course I bought this bag in September per your suggestion and my husband and I were able to share it for our 5 day trip. It was perfect! Thanks as always!
Packing is streamlined with a to-do list. You always have to consider the weather too. We travel with our camper, and keep our toiletries in a backpack so we can head to the campground showers when needed, same basic routine as Marnie is doing with the Amazon toiletries bag.
I keep a small box in my bedroom and bathroom and out all the stuff I need in it as I get ready a few days before my trip and I work out of that so I don’t forget anything. Also it’s easier for items that you can’t pack ahead of time I also keep a bag with all my toiletries and cosmetics prepacked at all times I hate bioderma for their travel bottle as you it’s impossible to refill .I have tried so many times
Hi Marnie! Always enjoy your videos! This came at an awesome time since I will be traveling. I am going to purchase that toiletry bag because currently I pack so many indivudual bags then shove them all in a duffle bag (thankfully we travel by car as well). How do you pack shower items and hair items/tools? Also how do you pack your makeup? I would love to see suggestions on both of those. Thank you and safe travels!
Great video! My daughter is @ FSU now a senior, we drive to Tallahassee from Miami at least twice a year. It’s about an eight hour drive…😆 We’ve flown once but airfare is crazy expensive for such a short flight. I enjoy hearing about your road trips!! 😊👍🏼
Hi Marnie. Great video. Do you every fly with just a carry on? If so, I would love to know your strategy for packing all the liquids you need for skin care and make up in a super tiny TSA bag. Many thanks.
This video was great, Marnie! I didn't see you put any hair care products other than your hair serum and topical for thinning hair. Where do you put your shampoo/conditioner/styling products?
At first I thought something was wrong with your video! Too cute how you sped through all the travel info! I have a similar travel bag and absolutely love it!
It was not that exciting-and you can hear it! San Antonio to Jackson, MS, then to Oxford (where we were supposed to split the week between two hotels), then to Houston and then home.
I take very little. I’m leaving for TX at the end of December. I use Ponds cold cream for make up removal, do ry my face dry with just tap until it’s dry. In the evening I put on Retinol, let it dry. If I’m just hanging I just leave it that. If I decide to go out I put moisture with sunscreen. Night treatment for bed time is same cleansing and I use Vitamin C is morning treatment. When I go to Texas (The Woodlands) I pack take andan a few pair of jd double the tops. T or shoes and socks. I can wash at my daughters house. So I can pack light. Just pack lite IU.😅
@@MsGoldgirl it’s just easier. Travel in a Honda Fit with 70 lb boxer. Need room for her. Don’t know what was up with above note. Doesn’t make much sense. The secretary didn’t do her job with my dictation 🙄
Hi Marnie, This video was helpful and entertaining--meaning you have a good sense of humor. Next time I go on a trip I'll refer back to this video to help me pack. I hope you and Michael had a fun trip. Have a lovely Sunday! Xo, Karen
You're very lovely to watch and love the toiletries you packed. Though I need to ask What bag do you usually bring for travels? Have you tried using a duffle bag for your travel? I recommend using the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane. I've been using this bag for months now and it is such a hack. I tried using packing cubes and they are amazing but now I switched to a duffle bag. It's a good choice. Highly recommended!
Hey Marnie! I just found your videos this weekend and I’m loving them! You are my kind of packer, I like having my stuff with me! 😂 I also have to add this road trip had awesome destinations….we live at the Rez and have a condo in Oxford that we rent out! Hotty Toddy!!!
Great video...laughing at the sped up travel info🤣🤣 I'm in need of a better daily moisturizer. I have been using No7 with sunscreen, but my skin is having little dry patches that look terrible under foundation. Is it moisturizer, or do I need something else? I'm a simple, get it done quick, gal. Any suggestions?
I am strangely drawn to what people pack and how for trips 😅as I am a terrible packer. I need to try the Colleen eye cream. :) oh, I used to use the La Mere Concentrate. Can’t keep up with their pricing anymore. I think Dr. Dray has to turned ne off to it actually. 😅
I NEEDDD that info on topical formula for hair loss. I too am experiencing major hair loss. My husband said I am like a sheep dog. Its awful!! I see very small hairs around my face where my hair is fallin gout & thinning around my bangs & face especially. What is that???? I have a dermotologist appt in 2 weeks is this who I need to ask about that? I am not sure where to start searching for info & when you shared that I HAD to request info.
Marnie, I love these kinds of videos as I'm always struggling on what to bring on trips! I saw that you put a topical product for your hair loss. My dermatologist told me about a new Minoxidil pill that you take every day. I am 77 years old so my thinning/hair loss is basically age-related/ genetic. Also, a couple of years ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, but that has actually gotten better and I never had Hashimoto's. He did tell me that the topical products need to be put on twice a day, every day, and I don't think I could do that. I only wash my hair every 3 or 4 days and if I did that, I would have to wash it way more often. Have you heard about this pill? He said both of those treatments would be a life time commitment, but I just think a pill would be much easier and I already take other meds! 😊
I've heard about the pill, although it has other side effects that I'm not sure of. I will say that the topical one doesn't get greasy or cause me to wash my hair any sooner than usual.
@@MsGoldgirl thank you! I spoke to my dermatologist and he actually asked for a blood test prior to my using it. He also said that his patients have not had any serious side effects after using for a while. That's good to know that your hair didn't need washing after applying. I was under the impression that it would make my hair greasy. Do you use it twice a day, everyday? Just love your videos!
I've been taking the Minoxidil pill and Spirolactone for at least four years now. I had hair loss due to medication I was taking for psoriasis. Talk about adding insult to injury! My hair is not as thick as it used to be, but at least I don't have to wear a wig anymore. And, yes, the psoriasis is under control (knock wood).
I swear--- if you unpacked my products (including the well-intended face masks!) they would be identical to what you included in yours. And I do what you talk about--- set everything out as I use it a few days before to make sure I pack what I need. Fyi-- I have the toothbrush I have because it has the case :-) I just bought a new bag and am looking forward to using it for a work trip coming up this weekend.
You know I adore your videos! I have to say that CBD company gets a big Failure for me. I called and left 2 messages and tried calling at least 10 times.

I pack my shower/hair stuff in a separate bag.
Love the gray shade of the sweater on you Marnie. Very flattering! 🥰
Love my makeup bag. Sometimes when it is really packed and bulky, I will pack it open in my suitcase. Just a little easier:-) loved the video.

You are so welcome! 🤣🤣
This video was great, Marnie! I didn't see you put any hair care products other than your hair serum and topical for thinning hair. Where do you put your shampoo/conditioner/styling products?
I use an old Colleen Rothschild Discovery Kit bag for all of my shower/hair stuff.

I love it!

Hey there, do you recommend the Good Night gummies or the Calm gummies? I think you’ve talked about both?
I’m currently loving the Calm gummies. I wanted a non CBD option.
What do you use for thinning hair? I missed the name.
When I travel by plane and liquids are limited, I take a powder vitamin C and mix it into my moisturizer.
I have the exact bag and contacts lol! You’re great! Have a good trip Marnie.
What do the CBD gummies do?
I bought that bag last year for my sister (on your recommendation ) and she loved it ♥️
