Its easy to miss the amount of mental resilience and intensity you guys both have. Even at a lower level (Im 4.0) its really inspiring to see and really opens up my mind to all I have to learn down that front. Even after a big point, you guys are still so zoned in and mentally tough. Very cool.

What string tension are you both using here? From sound alone I would guess you're using around 57-58 lbs and Marcos may be 55-56 lbs? Thats interesting to me because I remember Marcos said in a tennis warehouse interview he tends to have his tension lower around 48lbs

Karue’s UTR isn’t up to date but he’s probably still a 12+ UTR. None of those could give him a good match. They have good strokes and play smart but there’s too much difference in athletic ability due to age. The tennis bros. kid could probably give him a match. He’s a 11.5 ish UTR and probably has potential to get to a 12+ UTR if he plays some matches at a lower level to get out of the losing habit.

My plan to grind him into the ground didn’t work too well when I couldn’t reach balls I used to get to the tune of 1 & 2 or the like. If it was Simon Freund I’d have to give him a small edge these days as he’s playing better competition in tournaments.

On ATP Tour shot speed is measured right after the ball leaves the strings. Swingvision measures average speed from the whole ball flight (racquet to racquet). Tennis ball has ~50% of it's initial speed during travel to other player. So as a rule of thumb you would add around 25% of what SwingVision shows to get the speed measured like on pro tour. 100 km/h in SwingVision means ~125 km/h on ATP Tour radar. Another thing is that SwingVision is not that pinpoint accurate and speed error is usually +-15%.

I am from Australia where not always but sometimes can be super hot. I find it so hard to play in winter especially at night. Europeans own the sport but how can you play when its super cold. Or do you go indoors
Replying to this some 9 months later, but for anyone else reading Swing Vision calculations speed form when the ball is hit until its first bounce. That is much different and much slower than the speed radars used at events which calculate speed close to the point of the ball leaving the racket. So many of your 80mph serves are likely closer to 100mph

Looks like the Swingvision tracking on the first serves speed is slower than actual speed.
Replying to this some 9 months later, but for anyone else reading Swing Vision calculations speed form when the ball is hit until its first bounce. That is much different and much slower than the speed radars used at events which calculate speed close to the point of the ball leaving the racket. So many of your 80mph serves are likely closer to 100mph

i guess the swing vision estimate the speed is not accurate? no way to serve only 14x km/h at that level
I believe swing vision is showing the average speed of the ball, rather than speed at impact. There’s a SwingVision thread on tennis warehouse (with their CEO) where this is one of the items discussed

I will be going over some of it in the next video but I won’t go too far into detail. Agassi is a very private person and that is a relationship I don’t want to mess up. Learned a lot and a lot of it will eventually make it’s way to the lessons but some things are not meant to be shared

it seems to me that you should have followed some of your strokes to the net, because many times you had him in trouble almost out of the court but you just waited behind, and he got back in the rally
