I used to run regularly I did 19 half marathons then had triple bypass operation. I'm now cycling as its easier for me I did London to Brighton bike ride this year plus 6 other charity rides and I'm hooked .
Cracking time, well done. When I was doing my best times whether cycling or running, my training consisted of both - definitely think that gave me the best outcomes.
Running is something I want to get into as well. I never really had interest until recently. Cycling is my passion. Running is next. Thanks for sharing
That's a very good time Amy! By the way, tip from my cross country races years ago, take a thermal bottle of water and a washcloth with you in the car!
Not commented for a while Amy , but keep these videos coming fantastic, however as a former runner must say I’m loving these running videos, I’m currently running three 5k & one 10k a week, the music you say was the theme tune for the London marathon brings a lil emotional tear 😅to my eyes brings back so many memories
Wow Amy your some athlete! That’s a very decent time and if you’ve got a good swim in you as well….. dare I say …triathlon!!! I think you’d be very good…no pressure!😊
Great run Amy, even when not in full health 😘Good on Kyle and Chester supporting you "enjoying"🤣standing in a field for 45 minutes in the pouring rain waiting for you X that's love 😘
Well done Amy, that is a great result and I love this. Trail running apeals to me more than road running and like you cycling is my passion but good to have a second sport or hobby. Hill walking or long distance walking is also great for fitness and compliments cycling. I'm soon to have an operation which puts me out for about 3 months for any intense exercise so I will be watching your vids to keep me going until I can slowly build it up again. Thanks for sharing :)
Totally agree! Thank you ☺️ hope all goes well with your operation & remind yourself that once you’re able to get back out cycling / running again you’ll enjoy it even more 🙌
Wow, great time on a 10 k trail run and you were filming yourself. I am just getting back into running, my weight over the last 2 years has gone right up, lots of comfort eating and wrong food its been a very emotional time caring for my brother who sadly died in October so getting myself back in shape, back on my bike and pounding the treadmill. Always great to watch your vids positive mental attitude thanks Amy.
Ahh thank you so much!! So sorry to hear what you’ve been through, sounds like you’ve been through a really tough time, i hope you enjoy getting back into your running 🏃 I always find outdoor more fun! 😅
I ran a league cross country in that storm last Saturday afternoon at Shipley Country Park near Heanor, it was about 10k and a muddy windy swamp! It took me more than 44 minutes!! Great running Amy the cyclist you're a natural runner by the look of it
Amy, be careful! I know people who have trained through a cold and subsequently couldn't compete anymore because their heart capacity was severely reduced because they irreparably damaged their heart muscle. Love your vlogs!☺️
Wait for a running video & we get two in a week! You are such a good runner as well as cyclist. You must be in sub 40 10k shape on a road 10k race. Amazing!
I ran the "Bay to Breakers" a few times (a famous 7.5 mile/12 km race in San Francisco). The trick to staying warm on foggy SF mornings was to wear a trash bag before the start.
I live around here & you mentioned gravel riding - it is a great area for gravel riding, would fully recommend it. You can get a fairly big ride if you link it Sherwood Forest with Sherwood Pines via Kings Clipstone - it’s mostly off road and 90% in the Forest. Loads of routes for it online.
Well done, Amy. Edwinstowe is close to where I live. I've ridden my hybrid, done the Wayfaring Course, and played Cricket there many times over the years. I hope you got a chance to see the Major Oak.
@@amy.cycling.adventures There is a fence round it now and the branches are propped up. When I was small boy, I had my photograph taken stood inside it.
Hi Amy, a fantastic time for the run, made even better with the fact that you filmed and talked your way through a lot of it 🤔 awesome 👌👍 what is the model number of your Garmin watch?
That reminded me so much of cross-country running at school that I felt my lungs burning and the feeeling of wanting to retch at the finish line. Anyway, well done Amy on doing so well despite your lungs. Will Kyle be next? Or even Chester: cannicross?
Sherwood is great for gravel riding! You can link up the various areas of forest: Clumber Park, Sherwood Pines, and Sherwood Forest Park, pretty much all off road. The trails are wonderful.
Well done on another great achievement I can see some sports clothes company coming forward for sponsorship u certainly make stuff u wear look really good muddy or not amy
Its Sherwood Pines that you want to visit for an easy gravel ride, just up the road from where you were for the run. Sherwood Pines also has a few trail running routes too.
What's Lara Croft doing photo bombing the Thumbnail ? Those "trainer" half size socks are great to run in, instead of the full length. Half Marathon with the lurgy is doable, but it might "wipe you out" that evening and next day. Well done Amy 🌧🌧 🏃♀️
I find it very irritating that i can ride a 50 mile ride to the cafe and back without a thought, have ridden a metric with not much more care and could conceivably ride a century with a concerted amout of seat time (the enemy for the last 3yrs or so) yet when a couch to 5k was proposed at work, i did some secret squirrel testing and i can barely run a mile 😮 Given as a park run 5k and 10k is achievable by so many, yet the same crowd wouldn't dream of achieving said century, how the F can this be?
Getting the right shoes is always an issue. If you’re in the lakes, go to Kong Running in Keswick : they have demo shoes, so you can take a pair and go for a run to see if they suit you 👍👍
Buy your trainers online direct from the big brands and you normally get a 3 month any condition return policy. Also you could try running in the summer, it rain less then or buy one of them there umbrella hats.
As it gets colder. Try breathing through your nose. It's a bit tough to learn. But it forces one to breathe deeper, and the air is warmer when it hits the lungs
Cyclo -cross is next step up if you can run a bit. Riding and running around a muddy field for 45 minutes . Your hands must of been affected they turned really red after the run.
I really enjoyed both the running vlogs you’ve posted recently. Your enthusiasm is infectious. Hope you continue to post running vlogs
Thank you! Will do, yes I did a half marathon yesterday so that’ll be out once I’ve edited it ☺️

Excellent video. Chester looking as fit as a butcher's dog. Makes a very pleasant and welcome change from your cycling stuff. Great time.
Ahh thank you!! ☺️ Chester is a “beautiful beast” as we always say 😂
Wow 👏🙏🏆🎉👍 well done you, absolutely amazing running. Thank you for your openness, well done on doing what you do.
Running is something I want to get into as well.
I never really had interest until recently.

Thanks for watching!! Cycling is defo my favourite but I’m really enjoying the running too ☺️

I totally understand Kyle. I also love cycling and I hate running!
Love to hear you talk. It's never too much!
Ahh thanks so much ☺️
Wow impressive Amy! Great results in that weather and level of prep. Ding dang done
Thank you! ☺️
Wow Amy your some athlete! That’s a very decent time and if you’ve got a good swim in you as well….. dare I say …triathlon!!! I think you’d be very good…no pressure!😊
Swimming is her job, right? Seems like Amy is made for triathlon at a serious level even.
44.20 and chatting, awesome
Hi Amy, a fantastic time for the run, made even better with the fact that you filmed and talked your way through a lot of it 🤔 awesome 👌👍
Thanks so much! 😊
Well done Amy, smashed it, Matt.
Thanks Matt! ☺️
Amy's running adventures are nice too. Quite impressive what that elevated fitness level allows.
Thank you ☺️
Machine! Fair play in that weather feeling rough! Loving the running content, good luck on the half! :)
Thank you so much ☺️
Great run Amy, even when not in full health 😘Good on Kyle and Chester supporting you "enjoying"🤣standing in a field for 45 minutes in the pouring rain waiting for you X that's love 😘
Thank you!! Yes I have the best support crew 🙌 I’ve tried to convince him that running it is more fun than watching 😂
@@amy.cycling.adventures I'm with Kyle, watching people running is always preferable 😆😆

'Ull' east yorkshire.

Amazing time given that you were also filming it. 🎉👏
Thanks so much! ☺️
Very well done.
Run safe Pretty Amy.
I ran the "Bay to Breakers" a few times (a famous 7.5 mile/12 km race in San Francisco). The trick to staying warm on foggy SF mornings was to wear a trash bag before the start.
Awesome!! Ohh I saw a few people doing that I need to try it!
I’m with you Kyle, cycling yes!!! Running not so much.
Awesome effort Amy, great time whne you aren't 100% I hope you are back to full health now😊
Thank you!! Yes just about 🙌☺️

@@amy.cycling.adventures There is a fence round it now and the branches are propped up. When I was small boy, I had my photograph taken stood inside it.
Nice going Amy🙂👌, don't forget to have some recovery time, getting sick and overworking your body will not be good!😉
Thanks yes had some good recovery last week after the run ☺️
I didn't realise Kyle was a Mansfield lad! I'm a Woodhouse lad, and have no desire to live elsewhere! I do stray into Shirebrook for work though!
Well done😅🤣🤣💪
Hi Amy, a fantastic time for the run, made even better with the fact that you filmed and talked your way through a lot of it 🤔 awesome 👌👍 what is the model number of your Garmin watch?
Thanks so much! 😊 it’s a Venu S3 ☺️
Thank you 👍
Great run beat alot of club runners
Thank you!!
So proud of you, brilliant effort. If you weren't sick you could have a lot better me thinks 😊
Thank you! 😊

Still not tempted Kyle to run yet 😂🏃♀️
Great video, but I got whamageddoned!! Grrrr!!
Sorry 🎄🎄🎄

Randomly came into my head 😂😂
Triathlons next? Great job! Love the running addition. Amazing.
Ohhh maybe in the future, too invested in cycling though! 😂

45 minutes for a 10k, even on road, that's a dream for me. 😅

I only run when playing football. Short and sharp. But at 57 it’s getting harder 🤣
😂 Kyle says sounds like the kind of run he would enjoy!
You are funnier than you realise😃👍
😅😅 thanks!
Try Hyrox Amy, will be fun to see a vid on that from you. You and Kyle in partners, or you and Laura.
I’m gonna look into it!! Me and Laura have entered a trail run in Jan 🙌🙌

Didn't recognize you without your helmet ...🙃
Let the dirt dry then vacuum it
Go to the Derby Runner
I went there….the shoes they recommended gave me blisters 🤦♀️ but I’ve found a shop in Matlock that’s meant to be really good 🤞
Birtish people be like thank you thank you 😅 sorry, excuse me even when they're suffering 😅😅 hard to be like them
