The rock at 10:54 can be broken using any Ice combo ability. Breaking it with Fire + Ice was completely unnecessary lmao

Fun Fact: I DM'ed Failboat a list of the annoying ability shards right before he streamed this, and he used the list as he played! I tried my best to give important updates during the stream, like telling him that you can't get bomb/rock in 4-2, but I did mess up in 5-4 where I thought Electricity wasn't in the stage. I skimmed through a video during the stream and didn't see it, but I did indeed miss it. Apologies to the misinformed madness at 8:08 XD

@@Shantae1188 I first finished it in 2004. the biggest challenge i face was "WHICH OF THESE STONE CUTTER CRITTER YOU NEVER USE EVER CAN WALLJUMP?!" Because i only ever used the Stone Cutter little Bird. the other are so clunky your literally faster without using them. but once i got it. I destroyed 0² in 2 minutes? maybe less?

This is immensely relatable. When playing through Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, I had SO much trouble with the "Dodge 10" Expert Challenges to the point where seeing Mario taking damage physically hurt. It sucks.
The Dodge 10s were the easy part (to me), it's the no-hitter specifics where it gets tricky because some are way harder to dodge than others... *glares at Pi'ilodactyl *

I'd like to imagine Failboat counting on his fingers while swearing to the world's calmest music to insure that it was 10 seconds of profanity.
Incredibly fucked up that chat convinced him that:
a) He needed Fire/Ice for 4-4 instead of just Ice/Anything.
b) Electric isn't in 5-4 when you can actually get it right before the midboss. You can get it from the claw guys that drop down at you by floating up by them and sucking them through the wall as you drop back to the ground, then backtrack a bit through the same room to get Cutter.
Also really unfortunate that he didn't know he could just backtrack to the previous room to grab Needle if he loses it in 5-2.
He KNEW he did not need fire-ice. He was dumb on purpose.

The Electric not in 5-4 was my fault. He was referring to a list that I made for him before the stream pointing out where all the annoying ability shards were, and I was trying to update the list with important notes during the stream, but while skimming a 5-4 vid I missed seeing electricity, so I said it wasn't there in my list. Apologies >_

I remember hearing something about how the reason some of the shards are so hard to get in this game may have been so that younger kids wouldn't see Zero^2 (which I am (99.7% sure is the reason for the re-release's T rating).

This is probably the hardest Kirby game out. I couldn’t figure out how to beat the whale because I didn’t know holding the fish made it a gun
Also, Dan, though he says this is a mistake, is one of my idols. I am on the older side of childhood, so he doesn’t have an 8 year old seeing him as a role model (here anyway) but he’s got a million subs (right now), an acceptable chat community (I say acceptable because they aren’t exactly supportive but they also aren’t telling him to die in a ditch), and he gets paid to be bad at video games (no offense Dan)
I watched this live and was disappointed to see that it was cut out from the previous video. Glad it got made into its own video!

For anyone trying to 100% this game world 1-2 provides most of the copy abilities early in the stage and has a full heal early in it too, I hope this helps.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that Shiver Star from Kirby 64 is basically just Earth covered entirely with frost, speculating that it's just an aftermath of nuclear destruction, hence the factory level.
Kirby, the franchise known for easy games and *bloody lore* (but we'll ignore that), made Failboat swear on a stream that didn't have a warning in chat or on the title.

Ok, so Spark is indeed available in Shiver Star's fourth stage, both before and after (in a point he can backtrack to the shard), Dan was just gaslit into thinking there wasn't.
Imagine making a game with such difficulty not in the actual game, but in it's physics and controls, that you make the family friendly TH-cam content creator say not 1, not 2, but 4 swears in one video
